Wendel with my life savings nearly $25,000 to perform a revision surgery to…read moredefine my breast fold (IMF) or crease and lower my areolas , the pepperonis of the breast. I was transparent with him and his nurses about the trauma I had endured, including being abandoned by an ex-partner because of my physical appearance, and I made it clear that this surgery was my attempt to finally heal after the death of my mother and get me life back. I put my total trust in his hands to fix the crease and areolas I came to him for; instead, his care resulted in physical deformity and a total breach of professional conduct. He took my money, ignored my specific surgical goals, and left me more broken than when I arrived. The Physical Facts and Deformity I paid nearly $5,000 specifically for a nipple papule procedure. Instead, my nipple literally fell off in the shower. For months, I sent emails in distress after my surgery before my nipple went down the drain. I was terrified. When I asked for even a partial refund for this $5,000 failure, he refused. Deformity & Scarring: My stomach and breasts still appear as "one piece," as do my back and buttocks now. I paid for a butt lift and I am now left with a deep "ditch" crease extending from my butt crack to my mid-back. It is tight, hideous to look at, and painful. I had a curvy physique before, and now I am flat. Beyond that, I have painful "black popcorn" rugged scars that did not exist before. They are jagged and ugly, extending under my armpit and to my back. My previous incisions were smooth and neat. He kept saying it would be you but better. I am not better, it is worse. Failed Revision: My areolas, werent moved or lowered, which is something I specifically paid for. He kept saying it was improved, but they are in the exact same spot . After a follow-up, he saw me in the hallway and said, "At least they look good with your clothes on." He said it with a smile like he was proud. I sent him a picture of me in office attire with one nipple sitting near my collarbone, poking through my shirt on a Zoom call. It was so embarrassing. I wondered why people were looking at me like that. You can see it sitting way up high in the photo--right breast high, and no nipple on the left. I can't wear office clothes without feeling humiliated. I close my eyes when passing mirrors because I can't bear to look at myself. Unprepared Post-Op I was sent home with surgical drains despite no prior disclosure or care instructions. I was just given a bag full of stuff I didn't understand. I was so lost and confused after my surgery, having no idea what to do with the drains. Now, he has "divorced" me. He emailed me the consent form to release my records at his request, not mine. Because I am on HRT (hormones) and need mammograms, I am now left without a physician to consult with my gynecologist for these necessary cancer screenings. He took my money and left me with medical risks. The Professional Conduct and Verbal Aggression At my six-month checkup in October 2025, it wasn't getting better. He told me to wait until May 2026 for another revision and marked my body again, showing where he would make incisions between my breasts--an area he admitted surgeons normally avoid. He was willing to scar me further even though he admitted the crease was "destroyed" and the surgery wouldn't fix my problem. He insisted I pay even more money for this, despite my nipples falling off. He even made it about himself, complaining that his bills were going when I asked him for at least a partial refund. I sent an email to his office manager asking again for a refund, she had me make an appointment with Dr. Wendel. I did and took my 80 yr old Vietnam veteran dad with me for support. Dr. Wendel was verbally aggressive and yelled: "I don't care how many family members you bring up there, I'm not giving you your money back." AND I QUOTE. He then stormed off. Before the surgery, he was shaking my dad's hand and thanking him for his service. To treat my father that way? My dad did nothing but try to support his daughter. Any parent would.I wouldn't expect a second-class basement mechanic to behave that way, let alone a physician. Conclusion I signed consent forms while nurses called him the "boob whisperer" and told me I could trust him. As a Christian and fellow woman, I trusted them. I have worn a bra 24/7 for nearly a year because he made me believe the crease might form that way, knowing it wasn't true. He told me my crease was destroyed when I came to him so if it was destroyed, why would he take 25k from me? He told me I should be "glad" he took my case and that no other doctor would touch me, which is a lie. Another doctor said they could help, but I can't get the surgery because Dr. Wendel refuses a refund. He keeps saying "it's improved." It's not improved. It's changed, but changed doesnt mean better. I am deformed, humiliated, and out of my life savings.

Instead of going to Dr. Moore, because of our relationship,I chose to seek help from Dr Sarosiek, the prtner, super nice Doctor. However, I developed encapsulation pretty badly, even-though I had had saline implants before for 40 years. They thought the Mentor group who supplied the implants would warranty them, they didn't so Cool Springs had to eat it. Second surgery to replace went much, much worse. I have a stage 4 encapsulation which they say Mentor will not take care of. My sister works for a plastic surgeon in Atlanta. She deals with Mentor all the time on saline implants. With that group the reps always stand behind their product whether saline or silicone implants. Don't understand what is going on with the lying reps with Cool Springs Plastic Surgery but guess where I am going next.

I got Waist/Flanks, Back Bra Rolls, Airsculpt + Back Bra Rolls, Armpits, Lower Back done. The most important to me was the bra roll area and smoothing my back. With my bra on my bra roll was a B cup by itself. I told them that it was important to me that that be gone. I am middle aged so I wasn't looking for perfection but what I was looking for was not to have sausage rolls down my back anymore. The day of the surgery, they pushed my surgery back a couple hours because they said the doctor (Dr. Jefferson) was sick. Which was fine because I know things happen. Once there, I followed their instruction and then the surgery began. I could feel the device they use to suck the fat out, literally jabbing me on the inside to the point I cried out loud a couple of times. I just told myself that it would be worth it if I could feel better about myself even though you are not supposed to be in a significant amount of pain during the procedure. After surgery, they put me in the body suit called a faja that I was to wear for 4-6 weeks. I wore it for 7. The faja they put me in was too big and therefore didn't hold me as tightly. I told them this at my 1st week post op and they said "oh well you can just go on amazon and buy another one". Keep in mind, I had just paid them $10,000 the week before and they put me in the wrong size and couldn't be bothered to correct their mistake. Since then I have not heard from them. No follow up appointment reminders, no calls to see if I am even still alive. So for me post op treatment was nearly non existent. So if you are looking for them to care past the point of wheeling you out post surgery, you may be disappointed and possibly need to set your expectations low. I really wish I had just saved my money and given it to a more reputable plastic surgeon because in my opinion, dr Jefferson did a piss poor job on me. If you do decide to use these business, I would consider very carefully which doctor you choose. I would absolutely not choose dr. Jefferson again. I will add photos of my back and side and you tell me if these are the 3 month results that I should expect. IF, it even looks like I had any work done at all. My pictures will seem more like before photos than appropriate after photos. I am so utterly disappointed and if I can save someone from my turmoil and misery over the exorbitant cost versus results that I received, I would gladly do. I also have lost weight (5 lbs) since the procedure so these rolls are not from weight gain. So you look at the photos and see what results paying them $10,000 got me. They say optimal results in 6 months but do you think these rolls will just disappear in 3 months? I'm not a betting woman but I'd put my life savings on saying no. I wish I could leave them a zero star rating! Update! they recently reached out to ask me to leave a review on 3 platforms but not to see if I had any complications from the surgery or even if I like the results, which I don't! At least they are consistent.

Because if so, I wanted to schedule both procedures at the same time to minimize the down time for separate surgeries. I was told to send over pictures which I did. Two days later I asked for a call back because I wanted to get on his busy schedule. The receptionist phoned to tell me that Dr. Gilpin recommended both upper and lower surgeries in addition to a brow lift and the cost would be around $30,000. She informed me that I probably couldn't afford that amount. I had told her (she very specifically asked amounts) that I received an estimate from another surgeon for $6000 for the upper lids. She informed me ever so quickly that Dr. Gilpins starting price for a blepharoplasty was $6000 and went up to over $8000. (I wasn't calling to discuss prices with her as I'm willing to pay.) She informed me that I would not be able to do a virtual consult and that Dr. Gilpin would need to see me in person, which I completely understand. However, I live in another state and was hoping (at bare minimum) to speak with him directly before booking two flights to Tennessee. This Doctor is clearly in it for the money. The vibe from the receptionist was to weed me out as quickly as possible. Simply put she did not want to work with me to find a solution and was down right rude. $30,000 for procedures to not even allow me a phone call with the doctor is absurd. And to tell me that I cannot afford this when she has no idea of my financial situation is ludicrous. The ambiance is more of a spa than a doctor's office. The Staff - All women! Sorry guys! But that alone made me feel empowered just being there. Every one of them is super kind and friendly. They called me by name on the first visit and every time after. At one point, I called the office to express some fears that I had, and Tara, Dr. Amaka's assistant, was able to "talk me off the ledge." The anesthesiologist is incredibly entertaining and gentle. I didn't even realize she had put me under until I woke up after the surgery. One minute we were talking about Cinco De Mayo and margaritasand the next minute, I was getting dressed post-op! ‍ The Doctor - Dr. Amaka, is incredible! Her warm, gentle demeanor is calming and immediately put me at ease. I was expecting a barrage of physical medical history questions. No! She asked me questions about me and who I am. For example, she complimented my necklace and then ask me to tell her about it. My necklace! She asked why I wanted the surgery and why now. It was more than a routine medical consult. It was like therapy. I feel like she truly cares about me and not just my body but my mind and my spirit as well. The Surgery - I can't say how pleased I am with the results! I am only two months post-op, and I feel like a brand new person. I had a very ugly scar on my abdomen from a poorly performed surgery many years ago. It's gone! Dr. Amaka's brilliant performance made it look as though it was never there. She is a miracle worker (after Jesus, of course)! The Day After - A home nurse visit was included with my surgery. After all, by their own admission, such patients need to have this surgery performed within three months, so time is of the essence. You would think any dermatologist has countless appointments available to help such urgent patients in need! Well, think again. First, having received a call at 1:58 p.m. on a Friday afternoon regarding the diagnosis of cancer, I called back at 2:20 p.m. as soon as I had a break from work! Nobody answered. I left a message. Nobody returned it. Apparently, they've all gone home for the weekend. What a great job where you don't have to work past 2:00 p.m. on a Friday! We all want your job! After leaving a second message Monday morning and a third message on Monday afternoon, the scheduler finally got around to calling me back. I need the surgery within three months. Most of us work for a living and it's difficult to find time off. But I managed to find four Fridays over the next three months on which I could take the day off. "Oh, we only have one surgeon, and they don't come in on Mondays and Fridays." Again, what a great job where you can work three days a week and get paid a doctor's salary! I provided a Wednesday and Thursday in March where I actually have two days off work which is rare. "Oh, sorry, they're out of town for 10 days at that time." Wait a minute? You only work three days a week and you need a 10-day break from that? You're kidding me. Okay, so that's out. I proposed another 64 different days on which I could get off work at 1:00 p.m. and make it to the dermatology office by 1:30 p.m. for this relatively quick, 30-minute outpatient surgery. Does ANY Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in January, February, March, and April work at 1:30 p.m. or later? "Oh, they don't work past 1:00 p.m., so that's not going to work either." Wow, so this mystery person only works 27.5 hours a week? How can the rest of us get a job like that?! You really don't have a backup surgeon who can do an occasional Monday or Friday surgery, or fit me in at 1:30 p.m.? Now, I have to switch dermatologists, choosing from any of the hundreds of regional dermatologists who actually work on Mondays and Fridays, get rediagnosed with skin cancer, and set up a surgery while this cancer slowly spreads throughout my back and neck. Sheesh. Thanks for nothing!!
