At one point, one nurse came in and asked me to move from the examining table to the chair to be more comfortable while waiting. Supposedly this was at the request of Dr. Mendes. Cool. At another point, a second nurse came in and told me the doctor was running a little behind with other patients and asked if I had anywhere to be. Not sure it would have mattered if I did, but it was still nice of her to ask. Dr. Mendes spent about 5-10 minutes with me and ultimately prescribed me an MRI, which is the outcome I was expecting. Because of the subtlety of my injury, he explained he wasn't really able to diagnose me in the absence of those results. Overall, the staff was courteous, professional, and prompt. My only complaint is that Dr. Mendes acknowledged that his associate, Dr. Chase, was who I should have seen in the first place. Chase specializes in sports and I did specify with the secretary when I made my appointment that I was coming in for a sports-related injury. No Mendes's fault, but still kind of annoying.

I came early for my appointment and was told that a referral hasn't been recieved by the male front desk person. He was very kind at first. My doctor's office sent over a a referral and they informed me it needed to be electronic (this should of been explained prior to my appointment) After going back and forth with my doctor and the front desk person, I was then ignored by the front desk. The kindness faded, and while speaking to the male front desk person, I did not receive eye contact, I waved my hand to get his attention and was still ignored. I came to this office with high hopes of help and left with tears because of feeling embarrassed. I am dissapionted and will report back to my personal trainer with my experience. Truly dissapionted on how I was treated, especially that I am a kind person. Noone should ever leave your office feeling this way. I understand you could not service me because of your rules, but being ignored because I was no longer a financial asset to the company is wrong. I am still a human being.

She was redirected to another center and after that it was a free-for-all. I had constant changes in my therapist, often people who were assistants and not real therapist, and then they decided when they were through giving me physical therapy not my doctor. The workers seemed bored with their work but not each other. As a result eight months later, almost 9 I'm having to get a private Ph.d therapist. Too sick to question their lack of caring, I'm very disappointed with Professional Physical Therapy. All the right equipment, no continuity in my case. I would say that they better clean up their act and assign one therapist to one patient. It appears that they're trying to do too many things at one time which did not give continuity to me and as a result, I'm stuck with a stiff knee several months later. My doctor should have made the decision to release me. PS: not all the therapist seem happy, but seem to like to get around with each other more than Pay attention to the continuity for the patient. I did try PT at several other locations prior to contacting Adapt. When I first went to Adapt, I did not think I would be able to do things I used to do such as weightlifting, running, or squatting. I signed up for 40 sessions. I stuck with their treatment and guidance, giving 100% effort and commitment. After 35 sessions, I realized I was generally feeling better. For my last five sessions David got me to a level I only dreamed was possible! David gave full effort every time I went for treatment. He is caring and he is very skilled at determining the best course of treatment. I am now feeling about 99% like my old self. Often I feel 100%. I am ecstatic with the results! I can now lift weights, run, and do squats with no pain or issues! I am super active and have so much more confidence in my conditioning and abilities. I thank Adapt for their amazing treatment and making my positive outcome a reality! Also, Caroline, the front office manager, is genuinely concerned about patents' outcomes. She was the first person I spoke to when I contacted Adapt. She has been so caring and sympathetic with me throughout the whole process. It is easy to think things will not work out when you work hard and results do not come as quickly as you expect. Both David and Caroline gave me the confidence I needed to stick to the plan. Finally, realize relief from chronic pain is a lifetime commitment. It requires staying active, training religiously, eating healthy, getting quality sleep, and managing mental health. Going forward, I plan on continuing with periodic sessions with Adapt approximately once per month, indefinitely. I want to ensure I stay on the right path of living pain free!

Prior to attending this clinic I would go through periods where my back would feel decent & periods were I would have to miss more than 1 week of work at a time, went to the hospital, etc. I always had success with my symptoms at other physical therapy places but I never seemed to get to the root of the problem & find a long term solution until I met Dr. Nicholas Dass. Over the last year not only has my back pain pretty much diminished to almost nothing but I also can actually touch my toes when flexing forward. This is something I have NEVER been able to accomplish in my life as I am not a flexible person. There was no stretching involved. It was all his unique approach and skill set combined with my willingness to put the required work effort in. Dr. Nick has given me my life back. I could not workout for the last 2 years and had put weight on. I now belong to a gym, am working out, & working on losing that weight I had gained. I can also play darts again (a hobby of mine that I love). More importantly, he has given me my independence back where I do not feel that this chronic issue owns me any longer. No return phone calls when you leave a message, after three calls I find out the person I'm trying to reach is on vacation and doesn't even leave a voicemail message notifying people that, the staff will transfer you to the person on vacation and not bother to notify you that the persons on vacation, no coverage offered. Getting medical records from them is a nightmare. The staff is rude and uncooperative. They clearly need not to work in the medical field. No offer of the 30 day continuum of care and his staff were so rude, they told us we would be refused treatment for not being loyal. Oh, sorry, I thought this was a business transaction, just like you refused to take my primary insurance, loyalty has nothing to do with it. I cant afford to be socked with fees after the fact. I want to know what will be covered before we sign. Hey, you don't want our business, there are plenty of others out there that will.The support staff are lazy, nasty and grossly misinformed about how insurance works. Dont waste your time.

I was referred to the office of Dr. James Lee to get an arthroscopy done on my knee due to what was…read morethought to be a torn meniscus. From the first visit there, Dr. Lee, Sr. and Dr. Winslow made me comfortable and explained everything in detail so that I could understand. This was important to me because I'd never had surgery before. On the day of surgery, Dr. Lee made sure that I was comfortable by making jokes and keeping the air light. Surgery went extremely well and he told me they found that the meniscus was intact but out of place. Post-op, Dr. Lee and his staff have been so helpful. I also want to highlight their nurse, Dawn. I called Dawn a million times a week between getting paperwork done for work, reiteration if doctor's orders, or anything in between. Every time, Dawn has been so helpful and patient, even when she's had to repeat herself. If you're looking for an orthopedic surgeon, you've found the right one.

Giuliana is truly one of the best and most caring physical therapists -- they are incredibly lucky to have her. She is intentional with her individualized plan for patients and extremely knowledgeable, always taking the time to understand my specific needs and explain everything in full detail so I felt confident and at ease throughout my recovery. Giuliana worked with me step by step to get my hip healed and stronger, starting slow and gradually building my strength with dynamic, effective exercises. I never felt rushed, pushed too hard, or overlooked. It took some time but I've fully recovered and no longer have hip discomfort thanks to Giuliana. The entire team was always accommodating with scheduling, which made a huge difference with my crazy work schedule, and the facility itself is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.
