Lower has the beach, volleyball, concessions, bar on top, seats, restrooms, pier, lots of grass and grills but no pavilion. Parking for upper or lower is easy but both parking areas are separate. You cannot get to one through the other. You actually have to drive out of the park to other entrances to access each area. There is plenty of walking, running, biking, scooters, trails. And plenty of grass area in both to play soccer, baseball, football, frisbee, kites, almost anything. There is even a dog beach. Lots of things to do and to enjoy yourself outside. You cannot even bring a sandwich, chips and a drink or whatever and have a spontaneous picnic. The other fun thing to do is watch the air show from here. It's free and you see most of it. You even get buzzed by a plane or two. This is an enjoyable park. I wish it was closer to me. You cannot even bring even get a great pic of Cleveland and one of the Cleveland signs.

It's a large rectangle with (mostly) symmetrically pathways diagonal and across, but not through. It's all grass, and there are dozens of trees (and hundreds of squirrels), but aside from the children's playground in the southeast quadrant and the gazebo in the very center, there's not much variation. You can probably play a game of soccer/football/ultimate/kill the carrier in the northern part, where the trees are sparsest, but it isn't really a playing-sports park. No, Lincoln Park is more of a let's-visit-the-park kind of park. Maybe a poet's park? It's somewhere to walk and contemplate. I've done hours and hours of walking here, often in the snow, although I wish those hours had added up to at least days, if not weeks. One of my only regrets (of things under my control) from my year of living in Cleveland is that I didn't spend as much time in Tremont as I wanted to. The park really is lovely. It was way underutilized back then, but even though it was often nearly or totally empty, it didn't feel unloved. It's a proud old park in a proud old neighborhood of a proud old city. Whenever you're ready to enjoy it, it will be waiting silently for you. I really love it.

I have physically seen people talking to themselves or digging through the trashcan at this park. I really wish there was some way the park or the police perhaps could assist these people who regularly attend the park. Other than those factors, it is very nice! I also enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays during the summer!

Voinovich Bicentennial Park sits right along Lake Erie, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. On a clear day, you're actually facing Canada, which lies just across the lake--how cool is that? Out in the water, there's a long rock barrier (part of the harbor breakwall system) that adds a coastal, serene feel to the entire landscape. When I visited, there was a live opera performance happening right in the park, which made the experience feel even more special. You can sit on the grass or along the cement steps, which makes it a great spot for a picnic, sunset-watching, or just relaxing near the water. There are often events held here, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're visiting--though honestly, just showing up might surprise you with something fun. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, but still calm and clean. You'll also find: * Boat rentals nearby if you want to get on the water * Restaurants right along the shore * Hotels with waterfront views, all within walking distance The park itself is well-maintained, clean, and has lots of visual interest, including ships docked nearby and big open views of the lake and sky. If you catch Cleveland on a lovely day, the Wade Park Lagoon should absolutely be a stop on your visit. Have a picnic there! It's a serene oasis right off CMA (literally) that includes the infamous Auguste Rodin "The Thinker" statue. In the spring, it's a stunning sight to see the water reflect CMA and the surrounding greenery. There's several areas to roll out a blanket on the grass and read, picnic or take photographs. I've also come here twice as part of a bridal party to take wedding photos and they always turn out magical. I do believe there's a walking path and you'll find awesome sculptures scattered throughout. It makes me so happy to see so many trees in such an urban environment like University Circle. This lagoon is a treat for both this area and Cleveland, and uplifts the environment with its mix of lush landscaping and serene setting.

I was NOT impressed…read more Visiting here made me feel depressed, like I was in a slowly deteriorating city with political leaders who lacked the motivation to keep this historic city beautiful, like the real gem that it is. However, I have also had several opportunities to visit this city over these last thirty years and I have seen great improvements since that time. One of the small efforts to beautify this city came with the decision to add several "Cleveland" script signs at various locations around the city, like here in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. I have visited a few of the Cleveland script signs, and this one here in Tremont is my favorite so far. It is located in a beautiful little neighborhood, within an area that almost feels like a small park. Even though it's in a beautiful little neighborhood, it is close enough to the heart of the city to provide visitors with a breathtaking view of the Cleveland skyline, along with several beautifully constructed historic bridges within view. To add to how pleasant this location is, there are also railroad tracks nearby, where one can occasionally see a powerful train pass by. Still further, there is also a nicely constructed walkway through this area where folks can take a nice stroll while enjoying the view. The Cleveland script sign here in Tremont is easy to get to, located just south of the Cuyahoga River, with nearby exits from both directions of the Interstate 90 freeway. There is also a nice, clean and safe place to park within walking distance that is open daily, from 6am until 11pm. This parking area has several parking spots, most of which are under the I-90 overpass, and parking is free. If you happen to be visiting the Cleveland area, I would highly recommend that you stop by this location for a quick visit. It's a great place to take in a breathtaking view of this beautiful city, and of course, to snap that selfie of your visit to Cleveland.

I like places no one else seems to know about. Its located right off Columbus Road (turn right at Sainato's). Rivergate Park is a very small park located outside Merwin's Wharf. There's a tiny area with public art and another grassy area under the bridge situated right on the river. I recently met a friend here for socially distanced yoga and forgot how much I liked it as a public space. It's quiet except for the gentle hum of the river and ambient traffic noise from the bridge above. But when you're used to a city environment, this feels peaceful. May bother a suburban dweller, though. In general, no one will bother you here. You can park in the small, free lot across the street and walk over. Most of the action in the immediate area will be the traffic coming in and out of the very closeby Merwin's Wharf restaurant run by the Metroparks. Don't expect a sprawling, manicured field here at Rivergate Park, but do accept sufficient green space if you need a peaceful place to hang out. We had fun.

The garden is part of the Cleveland Public Library and it is actually connected to it. It is named after Linda Eastman who was director of the library years ago (1918-1938). I finally visited in July 2023 with a friend. We both enjoyed walking around, taking photos, and admiring the beautiful windows of one of the adjoining buildings. The garden is surrounded by trees, a tall iron gate at both entrances, a very small waterfall, benches, and movable chairs with a tables placed all around the garden. When you step into the garden, you instantly feel a sense of happiness, serenity, and peace as you hear birds chirping and breath in fresh air. Hopefully you visit on a quiet day because there are always events around the city especially in the summer months. If I lived downtown, I would definitely come here often to read outside.
