The worst bank the tellers are not knowledgeable. This bank never opens on time and can close your acct while your still working. Always trust a real bank like Chase bank. Much better respect to patrons. That's my fault for trusting a bank no one knows. read more

Attention Jeff Bank corporate; I will start off saying that…read moreeverybody that I have worked with at any of the branches are the best people. From branch managers, assistant branch managers, tellers everyone is always Great, professional, courteous and friendly. That said I have a huge issue with the corporate policy. Do you mean to tell me that because of Covid because I don't think any of this existed before Covid that it is OK to close the lobby at 4 o'clock?? I think this is outrageous as most people don't get back home until 5 o'clock, but at 4:05 when I want to go into the bank and take care of business, I can't because they say the lobby is closed. This is an unfair practice and I'm sure there are many other customers who do business with the Bank and like myself have quite a bit invested in the bank that I can't do business in the lobby after 4 PM. It is outrageous when I wanna go into the bank and do a money transfer that even though there are people in the bank, I can't go into the bank and do this in the lobby. I'm forced to sit in my car. So I am calling out the corporate management of Jeff Bank and all of their branches in Sullivan County to reconsider, closing the lobby at 4 PM for certain activities. It is infuriating to me. Thank you Ps I never reviewed a bank before so do excuse my dictation, I usually write more eloquently, but I am infuriated at the moment.

I'm happy to say that Gretchen was very helpful and honest. She walked me through the process and explained that the problem may not be able to be fixed until the purchase posted (luckily the purchase was made that morning, so I knew within an hour). She also helped me with reporting my card as stolen to avoid further issues. When I looked at my account on Monday I saw that the purchase had posted. I went back to the branch, Gretchen was there and remembered my situation. She helped me again and I received the money back in my account as promised. I am likely to keep my account with M &T mostly because she was willing to help me. I know that it's not the bank's fault, but the account is small and I was debating whether to close it out.

It was after hours so I called the 800 number, spoke with them, and they said that it's a branch error and that the branches fill and maintain the atms. Went in this morning and the branch manager admitted that they are the ones who fill it with money and that it's their mistake, but there's nothing they can do about it - call the 800 number. I told her that was unacceptable and I had already done that, and she repeated that there's nothing she can do about it. I walked out frustrated and then she yelled something at me from her cubicle as I was on the sidewalk holding the door for one of her elderly customers. Totally unprofessional.
