Initially, we had no clue what we were doing and asked tons of questions which were all thoroughly and thoughtfully answered. We were beyond blessed to have these people walk us through the process. We were really happy with the relative ease of home-buying compared to so many nightmares we'd read about. Bottom line is this: From the inspector, to the insurance agency to the lenders and title companies, EVERYONE knew who my Realtors were. People at each of these businesses couldn't stop raving about the experience and genuine care these people bring to the table. That said so much about the respect people in the industry have for Violet Crown Realty. They are awesome people too. You can have easy going conversations with them and they will give you honest advice. We didn't know ANYTHING going in to this. A month later and no extra stress, we have our home. We'll def keep in touch with them and would highly recommend them to anyone. Classy folks.

I generally don't use Yelp for that purpose but on a whim, I opted to check out the reviews. I found several who looked promising and contacted all three. Through telephone/email interviews I narrowed my choice to Joanne. So glad that I did as we only had 2 days to find a house and Joanne and William worked tirelessly the entire weekend. In fact, it was a game day on Saturday and that's a big deal in Texas, but they chose to still work with us. They showed us properties in north, south and central as my sister wasn't familiar with the area and wanted to review all options. It was a successful weekend as she bought a house and even secured a short closing just before the Thanksgiving holiday. Being a realtor I am picky myself, so rest assured you will be in competant hands with the Violet Crown Realty team.

My family…read moreand I moved from the Bay Area to Austin and were in a rental while trying to learn and navigate the difficult housing market in Austin. For over a year, Gary stayed in continual contact with us and was extremely responsive and flexible when scheduling multiple showings. Their search engine criteria often helped to find properties prior to MLS listings, which was very valuable in some of the highly sought-after neighborhoods of Austin. Over this prolonged period of searching and showings, he never once pressured us into a situation that wasn't the best fit. He even saved us from making an offer on a listing that had some major issues that were not evident without some significant investigating. We were extremely grateful for that and knew that he had the best intentions at heart for our family. Once the right house came along, Gary and his team moved fast and efficiently. They streamlined everything from all of the inspection appointments to negotiations. He often worked really long hours to personally make sure that everything within his power was being done the right way to move the sale along, even over the holiday season. We closed on our house and couldn't be more grateful for the amazing experience we had with the Gentry Group. In fact, they still stay in regular contact and have provided helpful tips and guides as we settle in to the new house. I consider Gary a true professional and friend, and I would highly recommend the Gentry Group for any of your real estate needs. I definitely would use their superb services again if needed in the future!

Despite the hopes and excitement, finding the right house in Austin was quite a challenge. Three months into the search, my wife and I still didn't feel like we knew the area enough to make the right choice. Inventory seemed low and houses were often sold before being on the market. We were very fortunate to meet Mel, Gary, and the team during our search. With years of experience, the Gentry team knew each street and corners of Austin neighborhoods. Gary also knew many of the listing agents and it was visible during open houses. Everyone in the team was personable and easy to relate to. Mel once told us "You'll know it when you see the right house". We found ourselves reminding each other that phrase over and over during the search process. Fast forward 60 days, we closed on the first house that we made the offer to. We called it a miracle because it was a highly competitive, multiple offer situation. Gary coached us in every possible dimension to make the offer attractive. In the final hours, the team moved fast and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to zero in on the negotiations. During the option period, Claire streamlined everything from inspection, contractor bids, to repair negotiations. We were very impressed with her attention to detail and subject expertise on a variety of topics. She made sure the burden of stressful communication is off our shoulders. We don't know any other agents in Austin area. But I am not sure if other teams could have made this deal happen. We recommend Gentry group for those who want to find a realtor that genuinely cares about your house search journey. They are equipped to support you both professionally and emotionally in such times of tough real estate landscape.
