Anyone who has to leave a novel about a business, obviously has an underlying beef. Ignore the…read morenegative. Dave came out and sprayed, was professional, remediated the flying carpenter ants in our cottage and went the extra mile. I highly recommend this service and unfortunately for this company Yelp will not remove negative comments. Shame on you Yelp!

AKA BLOSSOM PEST CONTROL.I had the unfortunate experience of being referred to this company by…read morelocal referral. I originally contacted Diane, whom I'm assuming is the owner, & explained to her I've found a handful of bees inside of my home, I've lived here for 4 years & never had a problem previously, leading me to believe there was possible a nest of some sort within my home. She quoted me at $65 for the visit. Everything was great, she sent a technician whom I believed was named Dave out the next day, at 10AM. Upon his arrival I made sure my mother was there not only for safety but to have her as a witness to everything that was said & happened. We greeted him on the front porch, explained to him what was going on & that I'm severely allergic to the point of anaphylaxis if I do get stung, making my home a very scary place until the issue is resolved. He understood the importance of that & actually asked me if I carried an epipen which told me immediately he knows exactly what all that means & how serious this potentially is. Unfortunately for me, he never got around to actually inspecting the house. He stood on the porch for about 45 minutes to an hour & talked & talked about why bees do the things they do & where they like to make nests & so on. All very good information to have, however my problem was not being resolved by having the technician stand on the porch. He stated that given that it was still so early in the morning that the chances of the bees being active right now were slim, so inspecting the house may not be of any use. Why he chose to come out at that time knowing they wouldn't be very active is beyond me, I'd like to chalk it up to maybe they were busy & that was the only time they had open, however once you hear how the rest of this story goes, you're assumption that any common sense (or halfway decent customer service, for that matter) you'd think should have or would have taken place will go right out the window, like mine did. He also stated that there is a possibilty that they are sneaking in on the back of my indoor/outdoor cat. Yes, I'm serious. At least 10 different bees rode my cat to my house, although in the previous 6 years I've had him I've not had one problem. He left without ever inspecting my home. On August 8th, Diane called. We began speaking, she stated she was unsure as to what exactly I wanted to come from this as Dave, the technician had documented that he did indeed inspect the home. I politely tried to correct her, stating that he never left the front porch & that my mother was there as a witness & would back up my statement. She then proceeded to ask me if I had looked around the house at all & saw any nests. I reminded her that I was very allergic, & although I did attempt to look I didn't get as close as they possibly would have or even known where to look, which is why I called who I thought were professionals to handle this to begin with. She stated, & I quote, "I didn't ask you to crawl up there, I asked if you'd looked & seen any nests." I replied "Personally, no, I don't see anything. However I don't know what I'm doing with this, which is why I called you." She stated they would come back out but at an additional fee. She continued to be incredibly unprofessional, I made numerous attempts to diffuse the situation, even stating "I think there may be a misscommunication here, I don't expect you to come out here & work magic. I'm simply asking for you to send someone back out to inspect the home. That's all." She continued to blame me, asking me "Did you ASK him to look around the house?" I replied "Should I have had to? Is that not why I called you to begin with? Why am I paying you if I have to tell him how to do his job?" She responded with "Wow! Oh ok you're a big girl then." Just completely unnecessarily condescending, inappropriate, unproffessional, & downright rude. She was literally yelling at me at this point, so I told her I was done arguing & if she wanted to go toe to toe then I'll contact the Better Business Bureau & we'll handle it that way. There's much more to this story that you'd be absolutely appalled at, but I'm limited on characters & i think this review gets the point across for the most part. DO NOT, for ANY reason, contact True Pest Control in the Northern Michigan area, unless you want your money taken from you & no services rendered, & then to be treated like literal dog sh** after you reach out & calmly try to rectify the issue. Hands down, the absolute worse customer service I've ever witnessed. There is no way a small business will ever be successful when that is how they handle problems & that is how they treat people. Word of mouth goes a lonnnnnggg way, specially in a small town, & specially when the word is bad. Stay away from True Pest, stay away from Diane & stay away from Blossoms Pest Control. All run by Diane, who clearly has no clue how to treat a paying customer. I wouldn't even speak to a dog the way she spoke to me.
