I ordered for the first time yesterday and I was incredibly impressed. I didn't know how big the sub would be (we all know the places who charge an arm and a leg but then give us utter crap), so I ordered a whole sub with the lettuce on the side and banana peppers. Not only was the sub HUGE and the meat and veggies super FRESH, but they also took the time to package everything individually and left me a sweet little note in the bag explaining what they did. And the cost!! I will be eating the second half of that sub later this evening at work, so really? I feel like I got two meals for the cost of one. Very reasonably priced. First time here and wow oh wow! Ordered the Eagle with everything on it and a turkey & chipped ham sandwich plus homemade Mac salad! UNREAL! The bread and other ingredients were fresh and delicious! Portions are beyond massive! Was less than $30!! The ladies that work there are so polite and easy to chat up a storm with! Love it! Plenty of space to eat there or get it to go even! I can't believe this restaurant doesn't have higher reviews! It is delicious and an excellent value! I can't believe three of us are for that price. Next time, I will ask for the mayonaise packets though. They use Salad dressing (like Miracle Whip), and I am a mayo girl myself, but to each his own. We will definitely come back. read more

Jeans has been at this location for over 40 years because it has great subs. When you walk in it may look well worn but that is because this is where everyone goes for lunch. Walking into Jean's Super Subs is like taking a walk back into the 70s. This place has been unchanged since I first visited in the mid 80s. To the uninitiated it may look worn and old, but to me and the scores of local folks who come here regularly this place looks well loved. The bread is soft and fresh daily, the meat freshly sliced right in front of you and the subs are long, generous and perfectly dressed. This is not like Subway, where you have a vast array of toppings to compensate for the humble layer of meat. It's old school - you get tomato, onion and shredded lettuce and dressing. It's simple but perfect. The #2 is my favorite - Salami, Bologna and cheese. I hope this place never changes! read more

It seems as though Dan H has never eaten at a Jersey Mike's, Penn Station or similar. All these restaurants, franchised establishments, mind you slice the meats at the time of ordering on -gasp- the same meat slicer. The food prep area here is clean and I think he raised cleanliness issues because the place looks like something you'd see in Wes Anderson film. The interior is so dated it looks like a forced, exaggerated set. I can picture Angelica Houston smoking a cigarette in the side room while Bill Murray stares with indifference at a customer standing at the register ready to order. With that out of the way, to the review. The sandwiches are good and I've eaten a handful of them. This is my go-to sandwich shop in Grove City. You get a ton of meat -probably all cut on the same slicer- and pile of pretty fresh toppings all for under $5 if you get the half, which is enough for me. I have no complaints about the quality of any sandwich I've eaten here. They are certainly better than anything I'd order at Subway. These folks also make their own tea. I've only had the sweat tea and it rules. I like my sweet tea super sweet and Jean's super subs makes it super sweet. So sweet in fact, the first time I had it it puckered my ass. Really good tea. I would at least give them a try. If you don't like it, you're only out a couple shillings. I'm glad I gave them a try. read more

This was the most disgusting sandwich shop I have ever visited. Not only was the sub sub-par, but there was hair in my meatball-meatloaf-frankenstein sub. Nasty. I'm with Daniel H. This place looks dirty and dingy and has had little if any updates since about 1976. I cannot fathom why anyone would eat here twice. I can only conclude that the people who patronize this place regularly have killed their tastebuds...or perhaps their tastebuds committed suicide when a sub from this place hit them. read more

Jean's is a local favorite as I'm sure many people from the area grew up going here before chain stores like Subway or Quiznos hit it big. I will say that the ingredients seem to be nice and fresh. However, there are only a handful or toppings and cheeses to choose from unless you go too late in the day and they begin to run out. No credit cards are accepted so make sure to have cash on you along with an appetite. Jean's subs will dwarf any sub you get at subway that's for sure! read more
