After a few months one morning two bulbs were out, at first I thought it was the bulbs so I tried my other set, and nope it was the ballasts. I called ahead to see if they would help me out and they said to bring it in and they'd exchange it. Instead of a new one, they gave me a refurbished one that someone had returned before, they send it out, get it fixed, and give it to the next person who brings one back. Which I thought was kinda weird, I don't know how old/how long it was used/ or anything like that. And I figured with a warranty I could get a new one. But at least I was able to bring home a light that worked the same day. They're okay but not my favorite in the area.

They have offered to resolve it by shipping me a new plant with photo approval, but have been pretty slow to make actual steps towards replacing the plant. It's been over 2 weeks now since I let them know about my issue. I also had I ordered 2 lizard queens. They looked beautiful when they arrived, but after a few days they started dying. I pulled them all out of their soil and guess what, total root rot! I Out of two plants, I am trying to propagate maybe 7-8 nodes at this point. Total rip off!!

Also told they would f/u on Monday if the tracking wasn't updated. The tracking was not updated but I didn't hear from anyone. Wednesday I reached out again. The order was sent back to the team for refill. The plants arrived today Sat. Two weeks after ordering. They were shipped on their sides, swaddling in batting that wicked any moisture out of the soil. Two of four plants were clearly starts that had never been rooted in soil as it all fell away when trying to repot. This is not a good deal. I hope these stressed out plants survive.

I think of all the things I would never ever want to buy and fill my house with. While the main house of The Weed Lady is technically a gift shop, it couldn't be further from the cheap, overpriced connotations mentioned above. They set the atmosphere in the entryway, with an assortment of tea, coffee, and cookies to enjoy while you browse (edit: this may only be present during Christmas shopping season. Still, a nice touch!). It's obvious that every item in this shop has been deliberately chosen by the owner, and each one uniquely captures the natural environment. Cedar and sage scented candles, stone vases, tempered votives, long-stemmed glassware, handmade soaps... you could spend hours looking at all of the ornaments and decorations on display. Gorgeous, inviting, warm.. it doesn't even begin to describe the atmosphere that they have created in the 3 main rooms of the house. The Weed Lady is also a florist, with quite a large greenhouse in the back. Will definitely have to do more exploring here during the summer. The prices are a bit high, but also fair when considering you're paying for unique, quality products and excellent, knowledgeable service.
