On April 23rd, 2025, I visited this dealership to test drive some cars and see what they had on their lot. I talked to one of the salesmen, Jasper, and got a quote on the out-of-the-door price would be. I came back the next day on April 24th, 2025, with the intent to buy the car they gave me pricing for. When we sat down to do the paperwork, I was told the manager raised the price by a grand. They then refused to honor the price they gave me literally less than 24 hours before. They then tried to negotiate and lower the price to just $250 more than the price they gave me the day before. It is just bad business and a complete waste of my time. For a used dealership they treat customers with that 5 star experience. The staff is honest and not pushy. The dealership fully inspects the cars and does maintenance or repairs that are needed and suggested so the best is provided for the customer. For example all vehicles get a/c service to include replacement of filter. Any car that I test drove didn't have a smell or old odor. All cars are deep cleaned inside and out. My experience is that the staff will go above and beyond to take care of you and the product they provided. It's clean, safe, comfortable, lobby. Customer service is amazing! I highly recommended JDM Auto if your in the market for a great used car. read more

I only give this business 1 star. If they had the option for 0 zero, I'd give that. We showed up to test drive a SUV at 3:30 on 9/4/2021 and was told the salesman had left for the day, even though they stated on the phone they closed at 5. We checked out the SUV which was in great condition and scheduled a test drive two days later at 10 AM on 9/6/21. It drove great and started the financing application. Well, while we were finishing that up, another couple test drove and then they started the financing paperwork. The following day, the dealership never heard back from the bank, which is strange bc this has never happened in the past with my other auto loans. Well low and behold, this dealership sold the SUV. After contacting the bank that the dealership works with, they never even received my application!! Never again will we work with this company or should anyone else! Complete waste of time for multiple days. Check twice before you buy from them. They don't negotiate, they tell you to buy else where (this was actually said by the owner) and they lie about your app process. Worst part! We even offered CASH!!!!!!!!!!! Went through Sam's Club to price a car. Got the price, called and said I would be their that day or the next. Couldn't make it that day but called next day - car still available, nothing changed according to person on the phone, car still available- same price I set up appointment- showed up to test drive the car that day. It's parked behind 2 other cars (not ready for me) - as they are moving cars I'm told price went up the night before $1,000 on a $12k car. I Said wait no one told me I talked to someone that day who quoted the same price and I have the following Internet deal price from Sam's club the day before- to bad - manager told none of his staff of price hike - the price is $1,000 more. 24 hours later after the "Friday Night Price Hike" their website still shows the price I first saw (minus Sam's discount) not a $1,000 more. Do not buy a car from this dealership unless you take a mechanic with you. I had a very unfortunate experience buying a car from this dealership in January 2023. I drove the car for two weeks and the engine light came on. I took it to a professional auto service shop and they told me I had engine trouble, the brakes were down to the medal and sensors were bad. I had $1500 worth of work done and then drove the vehicle another week and the engine light came on again. The vehicle has been in the shop since then. Finally got some results from the warranty company and they will only pay $2100 of a $4,600 service job. This is just to repair a lifter. In order to replace the engine the estimate is $8,000. I financed a $19,000. vehicle and I am quite certain they knew what they were selling me. They are listed on a lot of car dealer sites. Please beware. Simply, just shop somewhere else. I asked all the right questions and did research on the vehicle. I should have taken a mechanic with me. This was a very expensive mistake on my part. Do not shop at this place. read more

This place is a nightmare. I made an appointment and I and my son took off work to go purchase a car at a full asking price only to find out they raised the price on my way to the appointment. This place cleans up the exterior of a car really nice. But watch their demeanors and hear their excuses and rejections when you ask them to let "your" mechanic examine the vehicle. I went in yesterday (Saturday), and found a car that at first seemed to meet my needs; looked nice, was well kept (interior cabinet, exterior, tires, etc.), drove nice, etc. However, when I looked under the hood, I immediately saw rust everywhere (see attached photo), I became leery of the "flood epidemic" that has infected so many used cars for sale that are being passed off by scam dealerships as clean. I told Umer I liked the car, but am concerned about the rust under the hood, and asked that my mechanic inspect the entire vehicle that day; especially underneathe. It was a Saturday at 10AM; I was there before Umer and his crew. Umer told me that I couldn't get it inspected that day because I hadn't made an "appointment" (huh?). And although I left my 2015 Toyota Avalon there, and offered my license, he would not let me take the car out their site. He insisted on being with me during the test drive (?). I made Umer an offer pending an inspection from my mechanic, and a $295 deduction for consideration of the rust, and minus payment of that ridiculous $395 "processing fee" (WTH is that?); other than that, I offered the full asking price. Umer came back an hour later and said they would take $200 off the price of the car, if I voided the 3 months warranty Lol. I believe this ridiculous offer was a way to get rid of me because of my insistence on my mechanic inspecting the vehicle. So, people, it would behoove you to get any vehicle you're considering buying from JDM inspected by a neutral and disinterested mechanic to save yourself misery later. They don't want you to see the rust and leaking gaskets that will doom your car in the near future. JDM is only interested in getting your money; and if VA's law didn't say they had to give you the 3-month warranty, they wouldn't; they want nothing to do with you once their vehicles leave that lot. I purchased a 2007 Acura TSX from JDM auto about a year ago. It is blue, with navigation and I believe close to 110k miles on it when I purchased it from them. I currently have about 130k on it. I waited to give them a review to be certain that the car was as promised. It has been that and everything and more. Now like the readers reading this review I was skeptical about used car dealerships and the product I would be buying but having had the car for about a year and what I learned from the experience. -The sales person was honest and upfront, did not push the product on me but instead educated me about the cars and taught me things I did not know and what to look out for if I was looking for the car elsewhere. The sales person asked questions about what I was in the market for and tailored the buying experience towards cars that would fit my needs. Which led me to this car. It was in my price range and after doing some research, I got a good deal, below fair market price. It was economical, comfortable, and like the seller told me has been reliable if I did routine maintenance and upkeep. -The car did not require any big maintenance or other break the bank work other than was routine maintenance. The sales person did tell me I would eventually need new tires. Which he told me would last a certain amount of mileage by conservative estimates. They lasted much longer. They also detailed the work that they had done on the car to prepare it to be sold. -The car fax was provided along with detailed work history -The buying experience was seamless and the price I got the car was a good deal and below fair market price. -I did not feel pressured into buying like I did at other establishments. I had a really good experience. Honest and one that instilled trust in the establishment. I hope this helps onlookers who are considering buying from this establishment. I came to JDM Auto with a coupon to get my oil changed. It's a very sketchy place with some not-so-friendly employees. I was only stared at when I walked in to receive service, so I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. It took them much longer than it should have to change my oil (35 minutes). Thankfully, they got the job done... however they neglected to let me know that my tires were almost completely flat, which, in my opinion, is something they should have checked out while inspecting my car. The cars were dirty, some were in very poor condition mechanically, and they looked nothing like they did in the inventory photos. I'm not convinced you really know how big this nation is. "We" didn't buy a car because 2 of the 3 "we" looked at had serious mechanical issues. From THAT perspective, 66% of the vehicles would be unethical for you to sell. I suspect the real number is somewhere between your 3% and my 66%, but either way you have many cars that have mechanical defects that should NOT be passed on to your unsuspecting customers, as it would be unethical and immoral. And yes, it is completely ethical of me to review your dealership, that is what this forum is for. No misrepresentation of the cars was made, they were, in fact, FILTHY on the outside. I do not recommend the purchase of any vehicle from this company! I got a car on 8-9-18 the sales person Urooj sold us the car and informed us on to different occasions that we had " 30 days or 3000 mile's to return the car for any reason.. Well on 9-3-18 the transmission went out in my car and Urooj is now saying she never told us that and the owner Omar is very rude and calling us Liars. Omar told us on 9-4-18 he would call with a number where we could take the call to get looked at and now 9-7-18 when asked about the number, he "doesn't remember telling us that". If I had to do all over again, I would never have bought that car from them. I'm out the money I got financed for this car and I can't even get tag's cause I can't get an emissions on the car cause it's stuck and they won't help. The cars may look like they are in good condition, but they aren't. This place only cares about the money and not the customer or there word!!! Very dissatisfied!! Started looking for a used hybrid. Eventually came to JDM Auto via the USAA Auto buying service. I liked that they also had a mechanic shop as part of their business. I looked at the Toyota Camry Hybrid at this location and another used car lot. JDM Auto obviously looked at and cleaned up the car. I initially worked with Della (who did a fantastic job) but due to family issues, I delayed in purchasing. I came back and worked with Becky and the purchase went well. The only issue I had was with their third party vehicle licensing person who did very little for what I paid for them to do. I licensed the vehicle outside of Virginia and basically had to do all of the leg work after it came back that the initial paperwork was incorrect. However, Becky did a good job keeping the temporary vehicle license and registration up to date. Overall, good experience with the exception of the vehicle license and registration. read more
