It's hard to say too many good things about this class and about this instructor…read more Chad is a master gunsmith, and his specialty is the AR-15. His knowledge of that system is encyclopedic. But who knew he is also an excellent teacher? Lots of people know stuff; few people can be described as both an extraordinary expert and also an outstanding teacher. Chad is one of those select few. One of the amazing things about him and about his class is how he is able to reach both novice students who are new to guns in general and the AR-15 specifically, and yet somehow in the same class is able to go into great depth and detail for those owners who are already very experienced with the rifle. Chad not only covers the "what"; he also hits the "why". You'll leave this class not just knowing the specifics of the AR-15, but how and why everything fits together into an entire system, how one part interacts with and affects the performance of other parts, and how to diagnose subtle problems that appear "over here" and yet cause something "over there" to fail. I took the AR-15 101 Armorers Course. (He also has a Build Course which I did not take.) The class is comprehensive, as demonstrated by the length of the class. If you look at his website about his class, his Overview section is currently 65 lines long, each one on a different topic (e.g. from field stripping, to complete gauging, to the different types of fire control and bolt carriers, to gas rings, gas port erosion, and on and on and on). I won't even try to list all of the topics he covers; check it out for yourself and see. Bring a notepad. Take lots of notes. Chad covers it all. Finally, he makes it fun. He interacts with his students closely, helps them check out their own rifles (yes you can bring your rifle with you and it will get a top to bottom examination by the time you're done to ensure it's in spec), and despite the multi-hour format you'll wonder where the time went when you're all finished. Obviously I'm a fan. With good reason. Whether you're just starting with the AR platform, or an experienced shooter and long-time owner, take this class. You won't regret it.

I go there frequently and they know Im safe so they back off me but first few times they were breathing down my neck which is ok. I shot skeet there, trap, rifle, pistol. Facilities are great. Range officers are nice. Price is very low and for people like me who shoot lots it adds up. I highly recommend it. Wish they had some competition shoots but its not a club so.....still great place to practice, sight gun etc

You pay at the office building (past the range building) first, & then go to the range building to shoot. Bring your ID, eye & ear protection, & tape and paper targets! Make sure you abide by their rules, like no aiming anywhere but towards the targets, no pictures of people to be used as targets, no rapid fire shooting, etc. - for safety's sake. We also saw outdoor areas for archery and skeet, & a path that looked like it led to multi level shooting practice areas. Fun!! I'd definitely come back!!
