When they use to sell really nice furniture I purchased a few pieces,but it was nothing like there clothing that in my opinion is outdated and overpriced for Brady Bunch looking clothing.Years ago my husband told me they old woman use to save up JCPenney coupon's I'm assuming like Kohl's and cash them all in and get steals. Thank you to JC Penney at Ocean County Mall. Due to a dryer incident at a laundromat, I lost the bulk of my daily wardrobe to shrinkage. It is stressful to have to replace so many clothes all at once, but I was fortunate to pick the right store and encounter the right employees. Ginger helped me immensely with my selections. **This review is for the Sephora store inside JC Penny** There is someone named Caitlyn who works there and who was unjustifiably rude towards me. I spilled foundation on my shirt and instead of trying to help me she laughed and walked over and told a co-worker who also stood there laughing while chatting away with some guy about her night out. Neither could have cared less about the customers especially the one standing covered in foundation. Wasn't helpful at all. I won't be back to this location. read more

i wish i could give a better review but this store needs some TLC. i went in to picture up an online order and at first the woman said i had nothing waiting for me but i showed her my email and she was able to find the order. she brought it out, opened it up, and it definitely wasn't mine. she did her very best to find my order which she finally was able to do. this isn't the first time this has happened to me at this store. they have a centralized clearance section but the racks are all disorganized. you have to look through ever single item since nothing is grouped by size. three of the items i had in my basket didn't have prices in them and one didn't have tags at all. the cashier was very willing to help but this took some time and i didn't want to hold up the line. in general i think i will find another store to shop in. read more

Prices are too high. The markup is rediculous. When you have a coupon, AND IF your item is eligible, AND IF it's on sale or clearance you can find a great deal. For the most part, the staff is friendly and helpful. EXCEPT....the women at the fine jewelry counters absolutely, positively refuse to ring up costume jewelry even if they don't have a damn thing to do. They will make you wait in line at the men's or women's registers instead. Sephora staff is way better than the lifeless slugs at the Monmouth Mall location. The store is always too hot, even in winter. The ladies room looks like a crime scene and smells like a Port Authority urinal. read more

Ordered $1500 GE energy Star refrigerator and the installer did a very poor job. He grumbled about removing the doors to fit around the counter, He refused to install the water filter and ice maker components and he did not know how to level the refrigerator. I had to google the leveling directions and get a friend to do it. I will not use JCP for appliances again. Very disappointed. read more

Don't order on line & ship to store! Worst customer service ever! Don't try getting help from the customers service number on line, No one knows anything and they are not helpful at all! This review is for the Portrait Studio. I have never seen a business so poorly ran. I made an appointment for 615. At 645 I had inquired on the status of my 615 appt. I was told that I had 4-5 people ahead of me. When I checked in at 545, there were only 3 people ahead of me. When I asked how long of a wait I was told "I have no idea." When I asked again as I wasn't satisfied with that answer- I was told 1 hour. So let me get this straight, my appt was for 615 and at 645 I was told the wait would be another hour. So my so called appt would be delayed by "about" an hour and a half. The place was so unorganized and the four employees working there all were acting as if it were their first day there. Here's some advice: Don't overbook Have a manager on duty that can run the place like a business should be ran Hire people that have basic customer service skills and have a sense of urgency Other than that, don't go there unless you have about 3 hours to waste in the lobby read more
