I had an appointment for my father-in-law who was getting his first glasses from the US. Right from getting him checked in, his eyes tested and the ophthalmologist checking him and to the glass selection, everything was smooth and in length. We felt he was in the right place and right hands of various people, throughout the process. Special mention to Kapila who patiently sorted out his insurance details and helped with the frame selection. He got himself one of the best regular use glasses and he was so impressed that he also got nice cooler shades. We got the glasses on promised timelines and we couldn't be more happier about the new glasses as they perfectly fit his optical needs. Didn't talk down to me. I had my prescription in minutes. I picked out my lenses by the helpful young kid named Danal(sp). His mom and him basically run the glasses portion of the shop. They are courteous and most helpful at helping you pick the right frames for your face. Within a week, I had my new glasses. They made sure they fit right and their were no problems. It's definitely a great place if you're in the market for new glasses and an eye exam. So you can get an eye exam,pick out your glasses, grab a dunkin' if that's your thing, and do your grocery shopping all in one swoop. They take most insurances and are cost effective. Vesta continues to give us outstanding service. She takes the time and puts in the effort to make sure we are satisfied. When I was having trouble focusing on my computer screen with my progressive lenses Vesta suggested she make an "old school" bifocal so I could have a mid-range and reading lens. (side note: I worked form home during the pandemic so the focus on my screen was different from the office) She helped us found a simple frame that looked good and would work for the bifocals. They were perfect! And now, Vesta's son is working there, too, and he is just as easy and pleasant to work with. All we can say is "keep up the good work! we truly appreciate it!"

When I arrived to my appointment, I was taken to do a couple of routine eye tests. After, I met with Dr. Case in his office. From my own experience, I did not think Dr. Case was empathetic or helpful at all. The whole visit felt transactional and when I told him about my dry eye issue and all the different things I've been trying to do (eye plugs, different drops, seeing a bunch of doctors, taking supplements), he brushed it off and said it wasn't anything serious and to just take fish oil and eye drops. He never bothered to ask about my history, what may have caused it, literally anything at all. I've been suffering with dry eyes for years and wanted his professional help and advice around how to get better. Yet he just wanted to end the visit as soon as he can and run off to his next patient. I would highly avoid using Dr. Case if you're looking for someone who will actually cares about your eye health and vision.

Terrible Experience - Please Be Careful…read more I had my cataract surgery done here, and it turned into a nightmare. I went in with very high eye pressure, but they still went ahead with my left-eye surgery as scheduled. During surgery, my capsule broke. The surgery center didn't even have the proper lens for the sulcus, so I was left without a lens in my eye for two weeks. Later, they performed another surgery to implant the lens. Unfortunately, due to the trauma from the first failed surgery, my cornea became swollen, followed by consistent inflammation. Six months later, Dr. Kung told me that there were leftover fragments from my natural lens causing infection -- and that I needed a third surgery to remove them. All of this led to corneal edema, loss of vision, ongoing inflammation, and constant pain. After consulting two cornea specialists, both confirmed that the bad cataract surgery caused all of these problems. Now, the only solution left for me is a cornea transplant. I am terrified and deeply regret trusting this place. RUN -- do not risk your eyes or go through the misery I'm experiencing. On top of everything, they ran many tests on their machines and charged me a lot of money throughout this ordeal.

All our doctors knew the location and we could easily get prescriptions filled. Now that it is Walgreens the store has undergone a facelift and is moving in a great direction. Prescriptions are sent from the doctors electronically, customers are notified by phone and text when ready. As a consumer you can see what the costs are, they pick up the phone and answer questions....imagine that! The store is clean and organized. Great start in Spotswood.
