ALL PHOTOS attached below. I had a great experience at JCPenney on Saturday, 29 April 2023. JCPenney BEAUTY -- I bought a pack of 6 eye masks which I've always wanted to own. They are from the brand 'Wander Beauty'. I tried one of the pairs this morning (1 May) and after keeping them on for about 16 mins, my under-eyes felt very hydrated and fresh. They also sell men's products too. This review is mostly for JCPenney Beauty which is located inside the JCPenney store where I had a wonderful experience browsing and learning about this new beauty venture at JCPenney. Sephora used to be located at JCPenney but that partnership ended and JCPenney decided to create their own beauty brand. Sarah, the JCBPenney Beauty Sales Associate was really pleasant and exceptionally helpful. She answered my friend and I's questions. BEAUTY BRANDS -- There are so many brands to choose from with a majority being from JCPenney Beauty and Thirteen Lune. Thirteen Lune is a female black-owned company that sells beauty products from small black-owned businesses. There are also many other brands from minority business owners such as Jason Wu (Asian). I recommend JCPenney Beauty because they carry plenty of products for black people which is sometimes hard to find in the bigger beauty stores. I will definitely be back to the beauty store at JCPenney. JCPENNEY DRESSES -- Right now, JCPenney has partnered with celebrity designer, Prabal Gurung, for an exclusive line of clothing. The designer is from Nepal but he moved to America years ago. His line with JCPenney is an inclusive line so it is more affordable than his usual $800-$2500 pieces. My friend bought me a cute Prabal Gurung dress which is currently on sale for under $60 (photos of his dresses attached). I went to drop off a return. The air had been off since Friday. You couldnt breathe in the store. I cant believe you put your employees to work in this terrible condition. Have you heard of dehydration and heat stoke? I would file a complaint to headquarters. This situation is terrible no wonder your stores are cloding. I used to shop here all the time. Pertaining specifically to the portrait studio - My children are 15 months apart so I had newborn pictures done of my 15 month old in January of 2023 and they turned out adorable! So when we had this baby we decided to just do the same thing. The big difference between the two experiences is that we had our daughter in a different state so thus we went to a different JCPenneys. On a positive note, everyone was super nice and willing to work with us as we got our appointment time confused and they were able to get us in anyways! The employees were kind and patient when it came to working w our newborn! The negative is that it was $50 more than last year, even with a $50 off coupon. So we ended up paying $150 for just digital copies and nothing more. The real disappointment was that the pictures look like it was an at home DIY attempt at newborn photography. I am not surprised JcPenney is on the verge of Bankruptcy! I am not a frequent shopper, there is one specific brand of womens sweaters that I am waiting for every year, the rest is occasionally or when I walk through the store to go to the mall. I have been in this location several times this season asking for "my" sweaters, to find out they are not ready to have them until January. Well, JcPenney, if they are winter sweaters (and they are), then you should have them before winter, as St.Johns Bay is your store brand. Finally this first week on January 2021 I see online you have them. Unfortunately most of them not available to buy and have them shipped home online, only some of them available for curbside pickup. So far so good, I decided to go to the store. The selection is lousy and the cashier (who had no customers at the time I walked by) was beyond unfriendly and unwilling to help at all! I find only 3 in my size and color. I see a coupon on my phone and before checking out I try to ask the cashier to apply those coupons to my purchase. She is frustrated that I do not sign up for the store credit card, she is unwilling to help with the coupon, and she is mumbling behind her mask and the glass, I have a hard time hearing her. She is frustrated that I pay cash, too. Altogether: If you know what you want/need at JcPenney: pick, pay and go, otherwise for me it is this: avoid if you can, don't expect any kind of friendly help. I would like to add: It was around noon on a Wednesday, and no lines at all on any check out, no customers around at all, nobody in line outside for curbside pick up as well. Those department stores are the ones who go bankrupt, and I am sorry, but they do not deserve anything but that. read more

The worse experience ever. It's freaking 2020, if you cannot handle a diverse population, get out of the field. Julia the so-called manger was horrible and made us feel less than nothing over a fake gold ring we were sold. If anyone knows of a great lawyer please reply and let me know please, please, please. I have never filed a complaint before but after this experience, I have no choice. read more

I dislike the "New"JCP and the direction they are going in. The buyers "taste" Sucks. I went in for new school uniform pants. They already had clearanced them out. Because children don't grow and need bigger ones during the year. They have guaranteed I'll be doing my shopping elsewhere. I used to LOVE shopping there. For the last 22 years it had been my favorite store. No longer. I leave there disappointed more often than not. And ask myself why did I waste my time going in. Thank You JCP! Be very careful if you order custom shutters or blinds. My experience was extremely disappointing. The pricing is very sketchy. Get everything in writing up-front. I initiated my order when there was a 50% off sale. After they came out to measure my windows I went back to finalize the sale, only to find my receipt did not reflect the 50% off. I was then told the sale didn't apply to custom orders. I ended up cancelling the order and getting a refund. Not only did JCP lose this sale, but they lost the sale of blinds for 3 more rooms in my house. read more

very pissed off I was at the store with my boyfriend nd he got a engagement ring for me and I have not even had it for a week and it cost 2k and the gosh damn diamond fell out the prongs on it cut my faience any time I would hug him or hold his hand im beyond anger I will be seeing that store and manger for sure read more
