This JC Penney is located directly on the bypass in the Ashley Park area and sits near the BJ's for better reference. My family has been a JC Penney family for years, so when this location opened up in Newnan, we were all pumped...especially my mother! Parking is no issue, as there is a large dedicated lot for the store. And if there ever was an issues there are plenty of over flow spaces at nearby businesses. My father and I enjoy JCP for their shirts, specifically polos and button-ups. They always a great selection at great prices! Additionally, I have been able to snag some off-the-rack suits from JCP for fantastic prices...like a full suit for around $100. Totally worth it! Outside of formal wear, JCP has stepped up their athletic/ath-leisure section. Prices for these items are still a little higher than I like to pay, but the selection is growing and impressive. Outside of clothing, I enjoy shopping JCP during the holidays as about 40% of my total gifts for my immediate family comes from JCP...and they don't mind one bit! Additionally, when we were kids we used to hit up JC Penney for family portraits and now my sister keeps that tradition alive with her family. I will say that those pics still come out as amazing as they did 20+ years ago! Overall, this is a great location that I have never had any issues with. Dont Take Too Long To Shop: AP is the law. I've been shopping here JCPenny, Newnan for 10 years at twice a month now, but no longer. I was there shopping on my one day off I have per week an just taking my time while being closely watched and then followed by an asset protection employee. [ After Mr. Korrey engaged me making a remark about how he "had to get by me to reach for a shirt," enough-was-enough. ] [ So I informed Mr. Korrey(AP) that I didn't appreciate that. I asked him if he worked there and he said "Yes." I asked him if he was the GM but he said he 'refuses to answer any more of my questions." I replied back by telling him that the GM or any associate should at least greet their customers especially when squeezing by them. Mr. Korrey then in a rage yelled to me, "get out of the store." While I asked to speak with a manager, he lunged back into my face to scream some more. He only backed off when the supervisor's stepped in and other employees stopped to watch. ] I've waited two weeks or so for the store manager to contact me but he hasn't. Apparently this is the caliber of customer service you'll get at Newnan,Ga JCPenny if you're taking too long to check out. In these days and times I left in fear of anything Mr Korrey might do or say further given how he treated me. My family & I went to take family photos on Black Friday. They had a really good deal with photo packages. The photographer was friendly, funny, & fast. She was great with my nephews and took good pictures. I was pleasantly surprised. Will be back next year . read more

The online experience was awful! I ordered some items on December 15 still haven't received them. One of the orders went through twice when i called to cancel they kept me on hold 2 hours and stated that since I waited longer than 10 mins yo cancel the order could no longer be cancelled Hello? You kept me on hold 2 hours. I called again today to ask about the order and the rep told me "this is what happens when you don't want to pay shipping and ship to store!" I shipoed to store because online states you will receive it sooner, i had a coupon for free shipping haf i known i would have used it. Online reps were rude!! I then call directly to the store in Newnan and the employees couldn't be nicer, its sad that stores are closing when its the online reps who are pushing customers away. Don't buy online go to store. This review is specifically regarding the portrait studio. I was scheduled for an 11:30am appointment this morning at the JCPenney Portrait Studio at 341 Newnan Crossing Bypass Newnan, GA 30265. I arrived on-time and ready for the photo shoot as agreed. When I arrived, the individual was still assisting a previous customer and remained with that customer for the length of my visit to the studio. Please understand that the fact that the previous appointment ran over is not the issue. That happens and is perfectly understandable. What is at issue is how this over-run was handled. My presence was never acknowledged by the person at this studio. She never even took the minute and a half it would have required to simply let me know that she was running behind schedule and ask for my patience. Had she done this at ANY TIME during my wait she would have had my understanding and patience gladly. As it was, I was (I feel) purposefully ignored until finally I simply stood and left the studio never having been so much as acknowledged. An entire morning of prep as well as traveling to the studio and presenting myself on time for the appointment was wasted due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of this individual. Going to a portrait studio is not like going to the DMV where you have to tolerate rude behavior because you have no other choice. Having your picture taken is a paid SERVICE industry where professionalism and simple common courtesy count for winning and retaining customers. They have lost this customer because I do in fact have other choices. read more

This is an average JC Penny store. It has everything that your typical JC Penny has and a little more. The staff is mildly helpful in finding what you need and will eventually get to it. If you're in the area and you're looking specifically for a JC Penny, then this might as well be the place for you. read more

I was really impressed with this JC Penny. I think they may have recently remodeled it. Inside there is a Sephora! I found the help I received adequate and friendly, the store was well organized and clean. I came here to buy some leggings and ended up buying a lot more. Their items are not priced (specifically in cookware), and they took the price checkers out of the stores. The portrait studio experience was terrible. All of our pictures were crooked where you could see the lines in the background were all slanted. I am not impressed with the Newnan JC Penny. read more
