I still shop here, (as it is the only JC Penney's in Great Falls),even though last week a sales woman in the electronics department did pressure sale me. I walked away from the pop corn poppers and she walked over asking if I needed help. I told her what feature the popper did not have so I would look elsewhere. Right away she walked over to the poppers and picked the most expensive one of the two saying it has that feature. I told her I have no room for the large popper in my home. I started to walk away, she says I noticed you were looking at the vacuums earlier. I went over and she started talking about the vacuums. She finally mentioned how she had a few of them including the one I ended up purchasing.
Later at home the vacuum took seven hours to charge, (a Shark cordless), while the box said it took four. When looking in the manual it says four - seven hours. After we tried the vacuum, it lasted under twenty minutes before shutting off and needing to be charged again. Yup, another seven hours.
I called to see if I can take it back and she denied telling me she had the same one, she said that she had told me she had one like it. As if I was not telling the truth she decided to look up reviews online.
When we brought it back a different cashier helped us and another cashier walked up to stuff something in her mouth, not a mint. She made her comments and tried to calmly argue the point with my husband about the charge time. We both told the girl to look in the manual. She started to talk about their little drama with the cashier who sold it to me and said how they were going to make fun of her. Unprofessional!
In the end I found out why my husband always told people to go away and let him shop first. read more
