I was greeted with racks and racks of clothes that I immediately searched through, and ended up bringing home a beautiful cream sweater. My eyes grew even wider as I ventured upon the craft section... I love to sew! I picked up a few rolls of fabric for $1 and a set of needles for 25 cents. I had to drag myself away from the display of luxurious silk scarves priced at less than $7. Many customers I saw purchased furniture, clothing, and kitchenware. This thrift store also had entire rooms dedicated to books and children's clothing! Lastly, service was top-notch that day. I forgot to take a picture of the store hours, so just give them a call and a friendly gentleman should greet you on the other side. Happy thrifting!

My friend and I were browsing near the register while a woman was checking out. We happened to notice they had a bin of undergarments for sale. We heard the older gentleman at the register ask the lady that was paying, very loudly, "I assume these underwear are for you?" Visibly uncomfortable, she quietly responded "...yes" while my friend said "you don't have to answer that!" This was our first visit to this store, so perhaps we were missing some context (I hope so), but this left a horrible first impression in our mouths and we will not be returning.

I was there yesterday and found some beautiful shirts in the jewel tone colors I love. They also have a nice selection of scarves and shoes. The jewelry selection isn't as large at the Sierra Vista store but I was able to find a pair of pretty earrings for $3.99. Most of their summer stuff is on sale but the fall and winter clothes are priced mostly below $20. Customer service is great. I've never had a bad experience there. I go to Douglas maybe once a month but I always make sure to stop by Cato's and do some shopping.

Yeah! you've heard those stories over and over of people coming to the States and standing there for hours long, but going out of the states is not much different, at least not in this Douglas-AP border...... So...what do you do? YOU GO TO UETA, YOU BUY SOME LIQUOR (I buy the $10 cheap whatever) and then you are FORCED TO EXPORT (take it out of the Country into Mexico, hint! hint!) and they personally walk/guide you into the border outage (BREAKING THE LOOONG LINE TO LET YOU THROUGH, OUT AND FREE!!! INTO YOUR DESTINY: MEXICO LINDO Y QUERIDO!!! -either by car or walking!!! the rest...is history! what? what do you do with what you bought? you consume it, give it away or just bring it right back, you're allowed 2lts of liquor and 2pk of cigarretes or some thing like that... So next time you are in this border and want to cross to Mexico and there's a super-long line almost to Wal Mart..... She took us to 3 wineries, and helped us manage our time there while keeping us on track in terms of her favorites and what she recommended. The experience was super unique and she picked us up from our Airbnb and dropped us off which was about an hour out from wine country. Kerry was so fun to be around, and made seeing these vineyards so much more pleasant!

I've been well overdue for a new tattoo (eight years since the life milestone in question), and I…read morecouldn't be happier with the work I got done here with Josh. I walked in, and was greeted by Josh. He was with a customer, but made time for some face to face after a short wait. I knew the basic idea of what I wanted, and had two ideas for location. Josh listened to what I had in mind, and threw in some suggestions to fill in the blanks I had in my plan. He was always certain to be sure I was getting what I wanted, but the collaborative process had us both excited to see this tattoo turned into a finished product. After the first brainstorming, Josh & I kept in contact tossing ideas around until I was able to come into the shop. The first visit was the outline. Josh warned me the side of the hip would be painful, but he never got to the point of trying to talk me out of the idea. (And he was right! Ouch! But I'm still happy with the placement and glad I chose against the front of the hip, which he said would've hurt worse.) I came back a week later for the fill & details, and wow! Most people with my design pick Celtic knotwork as a fill, but I'm super pumped we went with the runed stones instead! Not only it is bad-ass, it resulted in a unique tattoo design!) I'm going back tomorrow for my touch-up, now that it's healed up, and can't wait to show off my latest art purchase!

I walked out with a very short version of Dilbert's pointy haired boss. Just love Rachel - she's delightful but am completely perplexed as I have no idea how or why this happened. Some areas are less than 1/4 inch long, leaving bald looking patches. My bad - didn't pay enough attention while it was going on, but I trusted the, "Sure, I get it." I'm devastated. (Okay, nobody died but I'm VERY unhappy.) She said it would grow out. Well, yes it will, but when you're 30 a few months having something growing out to where you want to be seen in public is different from when you're my age as this now represents a huge percentage of the rest of my life. :(
