Great deals, but the line was long and the staff was not friendliest. It can be a great option for when you need something immediately. read more

The person at the cash register was extremely rude and unprofessional. She accused me of jumping in line when I was the first one in the empty space waiting for her to appear at the beginning. Then she said I was in the wrong area when it took me 20 minutes looking for an open checkout area. As I always try to be polite, I offered her an unwarranted apology and said thank you when she grumpily completed my purchase. She didn't respond in kind. It was the most unpleasant shopping experience I have ever had in a department store. read more

Was online long no help and after we over paid for a bra for $58 they didn't even give or have a bag luckily we shopped somewhere else and had a bag. One person on the register finally someone came 10 minutes later and was upset because the other worker was missing for a half hour. Not worth time and price. Returned item and went to Vs read more

I totally understand why they are going out of business!!!! 1 register, 1 fitting room, no employees anywhere to be found! Not the store it used to be!!! read more

The price of the item I bought online for pickup was cheaper than Target but JCP line for pickup saved me no time. Even though it was clearly marked with a four foot sign that pickup is to the left and returns are to the right the 2 clerks said one line only for everything. So people who just had a quick pickup had to stand on a long tedious line while people were complaining about their returns, especially the lady who wanted cash back for her items even though she paid with a charge card. Definitely not a store I will race back to purchase from again. read more

Came to buy myself a new shirt. Half of the dressing rooms are closed and when I finally did find one open, it was a wreck. Found something to purchase. There is one register open on the whole entire floor. When I get to the register the lines could not be any longer. No way I am staying on the line for probably a half hour to pay for one shirt. Maybe this is why retail stores are closing. I should've just stayed home and ordered on Amazon. read more

It doesn't matter what time of day you come to shop here - wait times at checkout lines are unacceptably long. Avoid shopping in store if you can, or you'll be waiting for 20+ minutes to buy a t-shirt. read more

Got an AMAZING deal on Black Friday deals. A 1 ct. diamond wedding band for under $300, a beautiful winter hat $8 & two colorblock scarves $7 each. The wedding band is so beautiful and I couldn't find any deals like it in other stores. I loved it so much that we bought another band at home from JCPenney.com right before the Black Friday deals ended. It was fast and easy checking out. read more

Always able to find good deals here. I love their clearance section, but also that I can buy higher quality items as well all in one place. The staff on the floor is close to non-existent though. They should employ people other than just cashiers. Thus, you basically have to search out a cashier if you need help, and not all of the register areas are in use. Overall, if you don't need much help before checking out, this store is A-OK. read more

I used their online service to order Mens clothing, in order to avoid going in and finding nothing.. I ordered th sizes I needed and picked up next day, staff was so helpful and pleasant. Great experience read more

I never saw a store their start their closing process an hour before closing .... exterior doors getting locked, dressing rooms closed! If the posted time is 7pm then 7pm is closing not 6pm. Have some courtesy and make an announcement. You clearly announced the store closing in 25 mins but how about the doors and dressing room closing. Also I guess a dressing room on each floor would be asking too much. Picked out about 12 dresses to try on. Had to lug them (no carts) from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor to the opposite corner of the store from where the escalator drops off. Absolutely 100% inconvenient, aggravating and inconsiderate to your customers. read more

I have used the JCP Salon four times and while the service I received involving hair was alright. Their customer service and appointment scheduling is a mess! To get in contact with the JCP Salon in Bayshore you have to call 10-15 times for someone to answer the phone! I once had to call the children's department which is located near the salon, to ask them if they could tel the salon employees to answer the phone. And lets say you get tired of calling for an appointment like I was. And decided to just walk in you will get turned away! There was only one person in the chair and only one stylist there. Theres no one manning the desk. I am fed up with the piss poor customer service and will not be returning to this salon again. read more

This place completely ruined my hair to the point I had to chop it all off. I went in for balayage and showed the woman doing my hair a photo, I also asked for long layers and to keep the length. The woman I seen was named Angela and she was the manager so I felt confident. She completely DESTROYED my hair with bleach, it was burnt and fried and not blended AT ALL. it was one straight line of blonde across the back of my head. She chopped one side of my hair off and left the other long. She didn't even blow-dry it for me in the end and didn't show me the back. She told me this was just a "draft" and to come back in the following Tuesday to get it fixed. She charged me $125.00 and the price on the website is $105.00. I gave her the money and went home. When I got home I was finally able to see the back of my head and was distraught. It was ruined. My mother in law called them that night and left a message. She called back the next day and had told my mother in law that she asked me to come back in the following day and that she had another client after me thats why she wasn't able to finish it, which is a complete lie because I was her last client (it was 9:30pm at night and she had told me she was going straight home, she also told me she was going away for the weekend and wouldn't be able to fix it until Tuesday). I went back in the following night to get my money back, she was not there, one of her employees gave me the money back and she was also rude. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Please see below photos of what she did to me hair and what I asked for. I normally don't leave reviews anywhere but I want to prevent this from happening to somebody else. If you find someone that works for you there then cool, but I would not go see Angela. read more

Stay far away from the hair salon. I was called to come in earlier than my appointment time. I waited 45 minutes, it hit close to my appointment time and the hair dresser showed no sign of finishing. They couldn't care less. I asked for a manager and they did not direct me to one either. I left without getting any services. There are other salons in the area. Don't waste your valuable time and patience here. They don't know anything about customer service. read more

Plenty of "holiday" signs, "joy" signs and "tis the season " signs and sales, sales, sales. No mention of Christmas or Hanukkah, which are the reason for the sales. Big thumbs down on JCPENNEY. read more

Makes sense their rating is so low. Their customer service is HORRIBLE... was given incorrect information by an employee that caused me to waste my time, my gas and my money. & I had a manager call me back to essentially say she doesn't know why they told me that but there's nothing she can do to help me. read more

Still have good merchandise. That being said, it's the holiday season, maybe open more than one register? Please and thank you.

Awful experience using their JCPenny Portraits Studio two times in a row. So frustrating. Stay away from this place!

JCPenney Photo Studio Manager/Photographer is a disgrace! I had a terrible experience this past Friday at this location, in Bayshore. I went to have my daughter's 1st birthday pictures and it was the worst experience I have had at the Photo Studio. The photographer, who is the manager, was careless and truly did not put any thought on this session. I have a 4, 3 and 1 year old. She is not kid-friendly whatsoever and when my daughter started crying she threw a paper towel to wipe my babies nose??!! She had a negative vibe by giving us an attitude when my 1 year old started crying (truly my daughter was scared of her because she sensed her negative vibe). The manager/photographer went on to say, "yea, i don't think your daughter liked me, try to reschedule with another photographer another day"--- I do not recommend this place at all. It is truly a disappointment for me since I have been going there for years, I even had my engagement picture done here 8 years ago) and never had an experience as this one. read more
