Also be prepared to be forced to use multiple backgrounds, even if you say you have no interest in certain ones. Still, I booked an appointment online (about 10 days in advance) because it is an affordable, quick option. I received emails and text messages confirming my appointment. The day before my appointment, I get a call telling me they can't honor my time because they won't have a photographer available. I was given other choices of times, none of which worked with my schedule. The reason I scheduled in advance was because I had a limited time frame. They told me they have no control over the online system! So if you book online, be prepared to have it canceled, despite numerous confirmation notices. Never again. They waste my time during the photo shoot with backgrounds I said don't want, they waste my time choosing photos with going over packages I said I don't want, and now they waste my time with booking an appointment, because their confirmation means nothing.

When I first started looking for a company to work with, I messaged several different photographers and Carmen was the only person I felt at ease collaborating with. Not only did she reply very quickly, her responses were positive & supportive. I was honestly what one would call a complex client as I was unsure of what I really wanted but that is why Carmen is so great! She helped me execute my vision given my directions were quite vague. When time came for the shoot, Carmen led me throughout the session making it effortless! After an hour session we were able to get many shots AND an outfit change in all the while I was sluggish barely being able to move around much at 38 weeks pregnant! I recently had a newborn session with Julie for my 2 week old baby girl. Julie was just amazing!…read more She was so gentle with the baby and knew exactly what to do to get some incredibly adorable pictures. I was so nervous going into it that our baby girl was going to cry through the whole session, but Julie truly has a magic touch and was able to get her to sleep immediately, and keep her asleep the entire time we were there. Julie has a variety of props and wraps that she uses throughout the session, so all you have to bring is your baby, and she takes it from there (but she is also open to ideas from her clients and is absolutely willing to work with your preferences or any specific ideas that you might have). She did a variety of poses with the baby, using several different wraps/props/positionings. I was so excited to see the finished products, and was not disappointed when she sent over the finished photo gallery a couple of weeks later. All of the pictures were beyond adorable and beautifully presented. To be honest, I originally chose Julie solely due to her being at a more reasonable price point than some of the other newborn photographers that I had researched. So I was beyond thrilled to find that her professionalism, experience, and quality of work far surpassed the amount that she charged, in my opinion.
