Ours was a wedding event and we did not realize how much work we were asking of him until the actually wedding when we saw all the things he had to do. There was the ceremony at one end of the Durham Museum that required mic's and speakers, there was dinner served in the middle of the museum floor the required background music, and then there was dancing at the other end of the museum. He handled all that masterfully, and he was a great DJ for the dancing part. It was an older crowd so we didn't want anything too glitzy and he handled that perfectly. There is a reason EVERY review is giving him 5 stars. Is that a first for Yelp? I don't know but he certainly deserves it.

1st of all, they dropped the ball. They told me that my photographer would contact me 45 days…read morebefore my wedding and I had to call them 30 days before my wedding. The gentleman that answered the phone said that he would just "take the job" The photographer was very friendly and and seemed to understand what I was asking for. I was told that I would get a photographer for 8 hours, 800 photos all touched. I received over 1300 photos and only 90 of them were edited. There are hundreds of pictures of my back, my guests back with my arms wrapped around them. He took very few photos of our faces and did not capture very many moments that we could print and use. He did not give anybody any direction and most of the time I didn't even know where he was. During the ceremony he stood in the back of the church. He captured a picture of the entire room and we are very very small and did not capture our faces very well. There are many pictures that would have been fabulous if they weren't shadowed and the lighting was not adjusted by his camera, or if he simply told people to look at him so he could snap the picture. He also did not use the zoom at all. When capturing pictures of our guests and our wedding party, they are making silly faces, not smiling and posed well. There was a few very specific pictures I asked for and he did not execute that very well. I am very disappointed at $1600 I cannot rephotograph my day. At the end of the day I have a flash drive and alot of work to do in order to create a wedding album.

He was worth every penny of his fee. He spoke with the couple twice before their event and created a playlist that featured their choices, but mixed to maximize the vibe of the evening. The music did not stop once for three hours and thus the dance floor was not ever empty. In fact, if the dance floor ever started to look even slightly less populated Glenn transitioned to a new song and kept the place hopping. I was surprised how late many of the guests stayed, but they kept saying the music kept them there. On top of the great music, Glenn was a great emcee and coordinator of the bridal party entrance and once the bridal party left played some old classics so us old folks could dance while we cleaned. He was the perfect wedding DJ. I highly recommend DJ Animale for any event.

When we went in to have our final meeting with Tony he informed us that Mike would be doing our wedding; which made us a little uneasy because had talked up Brandon so much on how well our style would fit. We requested a meeting with Mike. Mike was very polite and professional. He assured us that he could meet all our needs and request. We had a keyboard that we had asked him to hook a speaker up to and then mic our officiant. On the day of our wedding he was setting up as we were taking pictures and finishing up as guests arrived. He didn't have the right hook ups for our keyboard and then his mic was not working at all. Thank goodness we have an amazing family and they brought a new keyboard and the proper hook ups. Mike explained that he had just got the mic back from being worked on and didn't know why it was breaking static noises every time we used it. It was kind of frustrating having this happen at our reception. Our videographers saved the day and let us barrow one of their extra mics. We found it kind of humorous that he would ask my husband and I what we wanted to drink and then he would never bring us anything back. We were told that our DJ would have back up equipment and if they needed anything they would be there in plenty of time to run back and get whatever they need or someone would bring them their supplies. Mike was a great DJ he really did a nice job putting the music together and keeping everyone on the dance floor. I would say all-in-all he did a very nice job. This is an establishment that we otherwise would have only remained for a short time but found ourselves delighted to stay the entire evening because of the D.J. Karaoke was the main focus of the evening and not only did they have a great song selection but had a wonderful Emcee that did a great job with the crowd. He did a great job balancing song requests with karaoke as not to bore the people who are less interested in karaoke. As someone who loves to sing (but cant) I was pleased that he possessed a great sense of humor and patients with those of us who had the neighborhood dogs barking! AND to my VERY pleasant surprise HE was an excellent singer. He did a rendition of a Price favorite that would have impressed even the biggest fans! VERY entertaining!!!
