From the moment I stepped foot in the door, Jonathan listened intently as he asked questions that really dug deep into my physical and mental health. He has a super bedside manner which effortlessly lowered my guard almost all the way. I didn't realize how incredibly exhausted, stressed and guarded I've been lately, both mentally and physically. The years have indeed caught up and during the acupuncture treatment, I was feeling emotions and thoughts that I didn't even know I still held on to. He had music playing in the treatment room that really pulls you in. It has such primordial sound to it that it seemed to deeply reasonable with my soul and inner being. At some points, while laying down, it felt like I was having a psychotherapy session with my inner self being the guide. During a few moments, it got so intense that I was about to call it quits, however I focused on my breath, accept the present moment and the emotions that surfaced. From there, I was able to relax even deeper. While I'm not squeamish with needles, I certainly don't like them. Jonathan has a great touch and threaded the needles so smoothly then I barely sense them when they entered the skin. I say barely as of course, your most sensitivity and troublesome body parts will feel it a bit than other areas.. naturally. After the acupuncture portion ended, Jonathan gave me a very relaxing and much needed back massage. After he left the room, I listened to my body and deep some deep self stretching for another 5 minutes. I will certainly be making this a part of my overall regime as I embark on a journey of self-discipline, physical realignment and spiritual discovery.

I found this place on Google, called, and left a message. Jonathan called me back shortly, and said to come right in. (I found out later that he actually does not work on Mondays.) I could hardly walk, I was in so much pain when I arrived. An hour later, I walked out with almost no pain at all. Jonathan has a real gift but also the skills, the education, and the knowledge. Thank you, Jonathan.

My mother and I were referred by a friend. I called and…read moreasked for a consult, she asked me what insurance I had, when I explained military insurance (tricare) she told me she never heard of it and that it must not be major insurance. I told her fine I will pay out of pocket if need be. We made an appointment for a free consult. Today around lunch I noticed my toddler had a cough and checked him for a fever, he has 101 and since my military husband is over seas, I do not have someone to watch my son. I called once he fell asleep and asked if I could reschedule, not only did she say no, but when I explained to her that my son is sick her exact response was "oh yeah too bad, no reschedule free consult ever" I explained once again my son is sick. She was very cold and rude. So I said well not a problem, I would not want to go to a doctor who would "oh too bad" a sick child and refuse a consult due to being a good parent. Apparently my military insurance is fake and I am not allowed a reschedule for a free consult because my toddler has a cold. *** in response to the reply*** Let's start off with insurance; I explained over the phone multiple times that my military ID in conjunction with my husbands social is how you look up our insurance. After you asked twice if I had an insurance card I explained again that my ID was the card and my husbands social was the "insurance" number. I even explained that it is exactly the same as any other major insurance. However you insisted opposite to the fact. At no point could I "not provide insurance information" like I stated I explained this to you multiple times and even stated that I was confused and a little at a loss that you have never heard of tricare. Which is why I just gave up trying to explain it to you and offered to pay out of pocket. Next: My cancellation, ok yes I called two hours before because who can predict a toddler spiking a fever 24 hours prior? The moment I realized that there was no possible way I could make it, I called you. I explained my situation politely and apologized, as to which I was told what was stated in the above review. Yes you called back three hours after, once I posted a review and told you on the phone that I find it upsetting as to how you treated me and the situation. It's not like you called back a few minutes later like "oh you were an emergency I'm sorry I misunderstood the situation". That was not the case.

Knights of wellness an intriguing name for a place to make you feel restored. :)…read more I have been a believer in the healing feelings that you get from accupunture for at least 5 years now. It was a suggested method of healing as a tween back in the early 90s but not as popular of an option for us east coast treated patients. Western medicine and increased knowledge and documented successfulness of the craft has truly come a long way in the past two decades. As a kid I was terrified of needles so accupunture which utilizes what I now understand to be small, thin pins positioned just right in different areas of the body to aid natural healing, was definitely a last option for me at the time. I healed almost to what many good doctors considered 100%. So that 5th final option of accupuncture was left in the dust behind, with the majority of the drama of the surprise ailment. Then i turned 30 a few years back and thought, what if? What if i had tried that 5th option as a kid? Would I have healed faster? Would I have healed 100%? I was made aware of a local man (Dr. Wong), a M.D. & Accupunture specialist. I decided why not go in and see what he could do almost 20 years after the fact. He was honest and gave opinion that there was a small possibility and to try a few sessions. If he didn't see improvement for that last small % of healing then he would tell me not to waste $ or thoughts on it. So I started and surprised myself and with his help within 3-4 sessions change was happening...talk about total success and uplifting feelings. I nicknamed him Dr. wRight vs Wong, and the story begins there but doesn't end. I lost Dr. wRight locally and had to find someone new I could trust. I scouted out a few fellas and then presented him on what i thought was going to be my last visit my selection - Dr. Lee. He knew of him and his professional talents, and I was on to learning more with him for some time. Unfortunately, even though he has multiple offices it wasn't/isn't always the easiest to get his way. Recently, I knew I needed to get back into Accupunture, but wanted something a bit more local because of upcoming employment location change. Thankfully I came across paths with Doug Johnson. The man behind Knights of Wellness. It's not always easy to trust a change, but I knew that Mr. Johnson was definitely good at the craft of Massage therapy, so why not give him a try on the Accupunture side of things. He has been nothing but exceptional when it comes to confort and understanding about how he goes about his Accupunture pin placement. I'm a gal that wants to Know, so Questions & Answers is my protocol. He has been very good about answering all questions, in addition to explaining what he is doing and how/why it should effect/heal the body. He is located in a Rockville Centre office off of Sunrise Highway, so very easy to get to. In addition to offering late night and Sunday appointments. Totally perfect for this workaholic. I have now gone to him a handful of times for Accupunture treatment and can recommend to anyone that wants to give the art of Accupunture a try to go and see Doug Johnson. I hope that his business of healing others through Accupunture and Massage therapy continues to flourish. When you finally go to try him out and feel mentally and physically 'Juiced' as I like to call it, tell him TLo sent you. I'm sure it will put a smile on your face and his.

Acupuncture is one of the few things that has improved my symptoms, especially the paralysis and spasticity, which is saying something as there is no cure for MS and anything that makes it manageable is downright miraculous to me. Mr. Johnson is very knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions and able to explain things very clearly, even if you have no experience with acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine. He also knows a lot about nutrition and exercise and will be able to give you advice in either of these areas. He has also helped me get my menstrual cycle regular again, after years of irregularity, and my recurrent nightmares are always lessened in the days following a treatment session. I highly recommend Mr. Johnson for any health issues you may be having, or just to supplement a healthy lifestyle as preventative medicine for body and spirit.
