My first visit was in 2013 due to a pinched nerve- at the time I didn't know this, all I knew was that I couldn't lay down on my back because of his horrific pain that radiated through my neck to my shoulder blade. From the moment I stepped foot in the door, Jonathan listened intently as he asked questions that really dug deep into my physical and mental health. He has a super bedside manner which effortlessly lowered my guard almost all the way. I didn't realize how incredibly exhausted, stressed and guarded I've been lately, both mentally and physically. The years have indeed caught up and during the acupuncture treatment, I was feeling emotions and thoughts that I didn't even know I still held on to. He had music playing in the treatment room that really pulls you in. It has such primordial sound to it that it seemed to deeply reasonable with my soul and inner being. At some points, while laying down, it felt like I was having a psychotherapy session with my inner self being the guide. During a few moments, it got so intense that I was about to call it quits, however I focused on my breath, accept the present moment and the emotions that surfaced. From there, I was able to relax even deeper. While I'm not squeamish with needles, I certainly don't like them. Jonathan has a great touch and threaded the needles so smoothly then I barely sense them when they entered the skin. I say barely as of course, your most sensitivity and troublesome body parts will feel it a bit than other areas.. naturally. After the acupuncture portion ended, Jonathan gave me a very relaxing and much needed back massage. After he left the room, I listened to my body and deep some deep self stretching for another 5 minutes. I will certainly be making this a part of my overall regime as I embark on a journey of self-discipline, physical realignment and spiritual discovery.

I was at a very vulnerable place in my life and I needed help and I had and have a lot of trauma issues that I was beginning to work through. As a practitioner, she is not trauma-informed and her treatment of me made things worse for me because each time before I went it I had to build myself up to go in not knowing what I would face. She spoke to both my husband and me as if we were children. She did not talk to us with respect but rather in a condescending and sarcastic manner. I swallowed it but resented it with every fiber. Then it dawned on me why am I paying this woman to disrespect me, gaslight me, speak to me in a disrespectful manner? I refused to continue. I have 5 visits left and I let the money GO! I decided not to continue with her. The other professionals that I have had the pleasure of working with asked me why did I allow myself to be abused by her and it is a good question. But when you have been abused it is not so easy to break the pattern. And it was an abusive relationship. I am sorry that it took me so long to walk away. But I am thankful that I finally have. I don't know about other people's experiences with her but mine was not good and it did damage me emotionally, mentally, and financially. I wish I dropped out when my husband did. The thing that really opened my eyes is when she treated my son so dishonorably when he paid her to get the wellness check-up (or whatever the official name is) and she explained NOTHING TO HIM! But said he should look it up. She gave him supplements but REFUSED to tell him what she found, what it would address, or why he should take them. This dismissive and unprofessional treatment of someone who was not familiar with her process or work really opened my eyes. I was taking her nonsense but as a mother, it was too much. Then when I shared my views she summoned my husband and me into her office and sat us down as 5-year-olds to scold us. That was it! She thinks more highly of herself than she ought. I cut off the conversation and that was the day I was OFFICIALLY DONE in my mind. I kept my next visit and then I let her know on 10.30.21 that I would not be coming back. I never gave a review after my first one in which I stated the best part of visiting was Stephanie because she was warm, inviting, personable, kind and she treated me always as a HUMAN BEING! And when Dr. J decided to correct me in the waiting area about that I decided if I could not be truthful about my experience I would NOT respond to her requests to review her services. My leg and back pain is NO WHERE CLOSE to how painful and chronic is used to be. I went from hurting everyday from morning till evening, To maybe a few cramps late in the evening after a long day. It took some time but I'm very happy I stuck with the treatment. If you're looking for overnight results or a magic pill, this type of treatment isn't for you.
