I've used a lot of tree service companies in the Shenandoah Valley the past 10 years. I've never used one that I called back and had them do more work. This has changed now that I've hired JC Tree Care! Jimmy answered the phone right away and was able to give me a quote later in the day. The next day, he had a crew (not just one guy) with professional equipment (real bucket truck, real saws, no harry homeowner stuff) and had MULTIPLE tree's taken care of. When they left, you couldn't even find a sign of saw/dust or anything .. great clean-up job. I am extremely pleased with the service. Remember, you are hiring a professional company here. They have real equipment, real professionals, and you will get the job done right. I could of paid someone $100 or $200 cheaper but they would of showed up with equipment I could buy and have me scared when they are topping trees above my house! I was super comfortable with JC Tree Care and very pleased. Don't cut corners, hire the pros! Hire JC Tree Care! read more

I had an 18" Oak tree fall on my deck during a storm. I called Jimmy, and he was there in less than 1/2 hour to give me an estimate. His crew was there the next day early and not only cleaned up the fallen tree, but also took down a leaner that was going to be next to fall. 100% professional and would recommend JC Tree Care for anyone in need of this service. After Sandy went through the neighborhood I was left with a rather large hickory resting atop my home! I reached out to Jim Smith, the owner of JC Tree Care and was immediately impressed. Friendly, responsive and professional on the phone, he proved to be timely and competent the next day upon arrival. He provided a clear estimate of the work to be done, arrived when he said he would with his crew to remove the tree and cleaned up what little mess was generated as a result of removing the tree. Very impressed, wonderful to work with, and Jim has my business from this day forward! read more

100% pros all the way. I had several trees that were a danger to my house. I called for an estimate and Jim came over the same day to look at things. They set up the service call the very next day. It took less than 3 hours to remove 3 enormous oak trees. Nothing was hit, nothing was damaged. It was impressive how good these guys were. The dangerous tree that was ready to collapse if you breathed on it wrong was brought down quickly and safely. I will definitely use this company again for other trees on my lot. read more

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company. This is the second time we've used JC Tree Care, and I can't say enough good things about this company. Jimmy and his crew are efficient, hard-working, and dedicated. We called for an estimate one day to remove three enormous trees and grind the stumps, and after giving us a fair price, the crew was out the next day to do the job. They showed up on time, took the trees down, and cut the wood in manageable pieces for us to split later. Everything else was cleaned up and taken away. Look no further for your tree needs! read more

The owner came out to my house when I requested a quote. He gave a reasonable quote to cut down two trees and agreed to come the following week to do the work. He called and showed up a few days early to get the job done in between rains. I was very pleased when I got home from work that evening to see the trees cut into fireplace lengths and much of the small stuff neatly stacked. They even took the extra effort to cut out some dead and fallen trees and brush that wasn't part of the job. Thanks JC...... read more

Does great work, had several trees cut down, Jim was here when promised. They cleaned up everything. Will use again. Great job guys

Had a tree that was a danger to my home. Called and they came out same day to take a look and give estimate. Price was fair and said they would come out the following week. The following week there was bad weather that put them behind schedule, however that still make it that week and did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone how need a tricky tree taken down. read more

I was very impressed with Jim and his crew. He came out and gave me a very fair estimate to cut a couple of trees down and then trim some others back and when I called to set up the appointment, he said they could be out the very next day which was great for me. He showed up and got the work done in very little time (I think they were here maybe 15 minutes). I thought this would be an all day process and it wasn't and they cleaned up the cut down trees/branches which I didn't expect. I am very pleased with him and his crew and will be calling him in the future for other projects I need done. read more

Honest, trustworthy and hardworking. I've used this company twice now and I highly recommend them. First they cut down a bunch of trees on my property and just recently they built a fence in my backyard in the middle of winter. This was hard work and covered a large area on the side of a mountain but they got it done fast, for a very good price and it looks great. Very easy to get a hold of them at any time, just a really good company. You won't be disappointed. read more

I contacted JC Tree Care to have a very tall and insect ridden poplar tree removed from my back yard. Jim got back with me literally within minutes, and less than 48 hours later the tree is down. Price was reasonable, though, having recently worked with others, certainly on the higher side of the spectrum. Service was efficient and friendly. read more

I contacted JC Tree Care to have 3 trees removed. Two of trees were very close to our house and just feet away from our satellite dish, septic system, a bird house and the fence. They arrived with a bucket truck, chipper and a full crew. They really took their time to make sure nothing was damaged by falling wood. I was very impressed, would definitely recommend. read more

JC tree service has helped us with 3 different jobs. Every time they have been super safe, courteous, and fast. They came quickly to give us a reasonable quote and then did the work just as promised. Fast and efficient. What more can be said?? I'll call them again when we need tree work! read more

I had JC Tree Care cut down a one hundred foot poplar tree in my yard that also bordered a main road. While the price was a little on the high side, Jim worked with me to reschedule to a good day when the yard was not too mushy and 5 1/2 hours after they arrived, the tree was cut down ina professional manner and sawed into firewood length pieces. The crew wasa goup of the nicest folks that I have worked with as far as contractors in the front Royal area and I would recommend them if you have a tree that is challenging to take down. They also worked with me to cut the stump so that it followed the contour of the lawn. read more

We contacted JC Tree Care after we arrived at our familys summer cabin to repair the roof and notice a tree was broke and leaning over the house. JC and his crew arrived within 2 hours on a sunday and took care of the problem. The price was reasonable for the situation. JC and his crew worked hard on piecing out the tree and did a wonderful job protecting our cabin. We will surely call them again when we have other trees taken down on the property. read more

JC Tree Care removed a large old tree from my yard. The estimate was very fair and the work was excellent. Jim gets back to you right away and keeps you well informed. They were professional and careful and left the area clean and neat when they were finished. I will definitely use them again in the future read more

2008 storm took trees down on my property and I hired this company. Owner gave me a price, requesting half up front with the agreement that he would start the job the following Monday--he never showed up and never called. Three days later his brother arrived with a thrown together crew and rented equipment. The owner, knowing that he and his crew and equipment were heading to TX to look for work there, used my money (and who knows how many other clients) to help cover the costs of his trip. The job wasn't done as promised and I had to hire someone else to come in and cut the wood, costing me $1,200 more. He hadn't any intent on doing my job until he returned from TX. He lost the battle in court, but he refuses to pay. I'VE NOT FORGOTTEN JIM AND IT'S NOT OVER WITH! read more

Jimmy and crew did a top rate job on a very nasty tree, at what I thought was an excellent price. He and his crew were timely, efficient and very professional. I'll be using them again! read more

J.C. Tree Care did an excellent job with taking down a large tree next to our power lines as well as cutting large dead limbs above our driveway. The only concern I have is that I requested they do not start working until after 12pm and contacting us before arriving as we work nights and that Mondays would be best because we are off work then. J. C. wrote this in our contract and stated due to our request for a Monday they would come out the Monday after the next (a little over 1 week. We said GREAT!!. However the tree was cut down 4 days after our conversation/contract, a Wednesday. There was no notice given prior to their arrival. We only knew they were there because we were awakened by the chainsaw. As I stated, all work was done excellently, however the employees should follow what was written on the contract. I will still use them because the work was excellent! Patrick - Front Royal, VA read more
