Jc "Repaired" our dodge caliber intake manifold ($1800 and 40 days without a car). When we got home to loleta (8 miles) it was making a clinking noise. JC said it was likey a loose clamp, and was fine to drive.. but return it soon. They argued about the diagnostic. She said it would be $185 more to do a diagnostic. A diagnostic for a noise that didnt exist before and was obviously related to their work? the next day the car died, blowing smoke out the exhaust like an air show fighter plane. Dodge dealer said it was severe scoring in the #3 cylinder from a metal part likley dropped into the open cylinder while replacing the intake manifold. Anyway - dead car. so dont go to these hacks unless you want poor results. read more

STOP don't go to this shop They did Wrong Diagnostic On my truck on oil leak and they charge me over $1000 to fix it, Obviously, they don't fix the oil leak. I took it back to solve the problem ,They give me a different diagnostic, Also they charge me for it. They not take responsibility for what they did wrong. I unfortunately had an ex husband who wrecked my vehicle multiple times while under the influence which is why I had to bring it to JC AUTO in the first place. I thought my check engine light was on for no reason and they were diligent enough to keep looking after what they replaced didn't fix it. They put it on the lift and we're able to see that my car had been wrecked and ran over something substantial and had a hole in my floorboard. The time after that he wrecked it and it was at another local shop from November-April. Not only was it gone that long, I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance said they took too long and when I got it back there was still stuff wrong with it. At that point I decided I wanted to take it back to JC AUTO since I know they do good work, thorough work and get parts incredibly quick. They fixed multiple issues within a week. They're friendly, the office staff is nice and they all around do great work. I would definitely use them again! They did some work on my ex's truck too after he messed up a bunch of wiring not knowing what he was doing and they fixed it no problem. Highly recommend this shop! read more

Very pleased with our service experiences here. This is a wonderful small family owned local establishment. Our car always runs better after it's been here. The nice guy at the front desk Jason is very helpful and always updated us on when our replacement parts are coming in and how much it will cost. He always answers the phone and is kind to everyone making business look great. They tell us when we should be coming back for more service in the future so we know what will need to be replaced next. They also have the best waiting room ever with a giant flat screen TV with Netflix and a mini fridge full of drinks and snacks also an instant coffee machine and tons of toys for kids. Best shop in fortuna 10/10 would recommend they have very affordable pricing and do not overcharge. They will take very good care of you and your vehicles. read more

Terrible customer service. Untimely and worse of all ineffective at actually fixing my vehicle. So I went in with a simple fix- Wheel Bearing. I left with it supposably fixed, but it was making an even louder noise than before! I take it back and they supposedly fix the mistake they had made. Evidently they didn't install the wheel bearing properly. I then pick my car up and it is now leaking fluids and the power steering is messed up. I am wondering are they the culprits of this issue? I thought at the very least they could have let me know about these additional issues. They were cold and callous about it. I wonder how a place like this even stays in business. MADE ME CRY IN HIS OFFICE & ON THE STREET! *CONSUMER BEWARE* Owner did not acknowledge me for 30 minutes while standing in his office waiting to return a uhaul rental. He took multiple personal calls before even looking at me, or speaking to me, completely and utterly ignoring me. He printed out an invoice for work, on another car, for another customer who was not a paying customer, he made a 15 phone call to order auto parts, and then finally acknowledged me. I huffed, because I was growing impatient, he began to roll his eyes and say "Am I throwing attitude around at you? You need to calm down." I was shocked. I said 'excuse me?! I AM A GROWN WOMAN YU DO NOT NEED TO TELL ME TO CALM DOWN" I voiced my frustration about him making so many personal calls, as I waited for him. He replied "Oh really, then watch this"... He then sat down and made a phone call to his wife & talked with her for about 5 minutes before I told him I would record him and report him oh here, and to the BBB. He hung up and said he was calling the police because I said I would record him and it was a threat. I started crying because how mad I was and in shock. I pleaded with him to give me the reminder of my money back & he said "We are closed, and theres a $25 cleaning fee and $30 fueling fee." Fee's that I was never told about from the begining of renting the uhaul. HE KEPT MY ENTIRE DEPOSIT AFTER TELLING ME IT WOULD ONLY BE $65 PLUS TAX. GO TO ANOTHER UHAUL, NOT THIS ONE!!! I was having trouble with my trunk lid staying closed, and I knew it was something simple like needing some WD40, or tightening a few screws. I took it to the nearest place to me, which was JC Auto on Ronald Ave. in Fortuna. I told them what was wrong and they told me it would be an hour charge of $120.00 just to look at it. I told them they were crazy and left. I made an appointment for the next day with McKay's Collision Repair. I told Patrick and Curt the same thing I had told JC's, they looked at it, Curt said "I'll be right back." He brought a tool, said zip, zip, and that was it. The latch had just came loose. They didn't charge me anything, and wouldn't even take the lunch I offered them. My mechanic, who also happened to be my husband, died in January and I have been at a loss as to what to do.
