The last time I was in I believe I had a specialist named Donatella. I told her that I do get a little jumpy with waxes and that it has been a while so I know it would be pretty painful. But like a pro, she was able to start conversations with me to get my mind off the wax and we talked about all kinds of topics and before I knew it, we were done! That's a truly great specialist right there who knows how to care for their patients that are a little bit more sensitive to the service. She also didn't try to push any products on me which I loved. The vibe of this location is friendly and clean. There is only ever one other person in the waiting room so I feel that there are plenty of specialists for the appointments and you never wait long. I've come early several times and was able to get my wax early so they are truly flexible. I really appreciate the service here! She listens to what you want, clarifies with you to make sure she understands, and when she says she is taking off an inch, it's an inch. Not an inch and a half to two inches. She also takes me on time and has never canceled on me. Her bubbly personality makes me look forward to seeing her every time I return. The prices are really reasonable too. That was important. So now for the hold off on the star. The owner sees dollar signs in everyone that walks in - if you know this ahead of time you can prepare yourself. Read on: The first 2 times I was duped in to additional services that I did not request nor did I know about until I paid at the end and wondered why my bill was so high. In asking what I was paying for I found that the first time it was for a pre-treatment & after treatment since they dyed my whole head to get it all one base color. Then the second time was an additional conditioner added after she washed and conditioned my hair. So now that I was educated, I asked them not to add anything on unless it was shown to me and approved by me. Haven't had an issue since. Still go there and will continue to. It's nice to be pampered and enjoy a glass of wine while your hair is getting done!

But then I met Amy, who was incredible and I would schedule directly with her so it worked well. But then she went on vacation and never came back. So I started seeing Chloe, who was also great. But same thing... vacation, never came back. Then Vincent... then Tiffany... not sure what this pattern means but either way... I'm writing the review because I called today for an appointment and set it up. I arrived on time and it was like I had never called. 40 minutes later, everyone is still busy and not able to take me. My issue is, they never should have made the appointment. If they knew they were understaffed or running behind, they could've told me. So, I'll be moving on to a new salon. I got excited with the recent remodel, but doesn't seem like there's much improvement. I hope they figure out better systems soon.

The quality of the service was just as disappointing. During my manicure, my fingers were cut multiple times to the point that they were bleeding. Accidents can happen, but what bothered me was the lack of care, concern, or apology afterward. I expected much better attention to cleanliness, technique, and customer care. The entire visit left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. No customer should leave a salon feeling embarrassed for bringing their child or with bleeding fingers from a routine nail service. I believe businesses should treat every customer with professionalism, respect, and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
