This cute bed and breakfast is up in the mountains where we were in the clouds in most mornings during our stay making breakfast time magical. And speaking of breakfast, every night you fill out a form indicating your choice of a sweet or savory meal. Arrive at your table hungry because the portions are fit for a king (huge!) and oh so tasty! (Dinner can also be ordered for an additional fee but again, king sized portions and so delicious! ) The Inn is located in Chatsworth, close to Fort Mountain and the cute town of Ellijay is on the other side of the mountain. There are so many outdoorsy places to visit near by, a long weekend is not nearly enough time to visit! We really enjoy our time visiting with Bill and Nicole and highly recommend a stay here!

We had the best long weekend getaway at the top of the mountain! We stayed in the Prince Madoc room…read morewhich had a huge stone fireplace and the softest sheets on the planet. The smell of fresh laundry is exactly what you want when you turn down the sheets at a new place-- so clean and cozy. I wasn't sure about our private bathroom being across the hall, but it was honestly great. Bathroom was very large & somehow also cozy [I think it was the warm heat coming out of the floorboard vents each time I stepped out of the shower lol]. Breakfast each morning was a 10/10! Bill is a boss in the kitchen. The homemade granola and lavender peach 2nd course were our two favorite things! If you plan to take it easy at the b&b one evening, go grab takeout brisket from Trinity in Dalton or truffle shiitake pizza from Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza and bring it back up the mountain. One of the best nights we had was eating pizza and playing giant Uno in the common room. [the giant Uno is in the basket to the left of the common room's fireplace!] Be sure to take a left when leaving the b&b so that you can see the INSANE views!! The road down the mountain to the left is SO beautiful! Things to Consider: -A more size inclusive option for the robe. My husband looked so cozy in his robe and I was disappointed that the size large was a bit too small for me. Having a few plus size robes on hand might be something to consider. Having a spot in the room's notebook that mentions larger robes are available upon request would help curvier guests feel that much more welcome & included :) -A way to text or send a message to Bill or Nicole when we have a quick question :) Thanks so much for having us Bill & Nicole! We have already convinced some friends to come and visit you guys!!

I chose this venue for my wedding due to its character and charm. Very unique and has so much more…read morepotential then what is provided. While the venue itself was amazing, the communication and professionalism left me questioning my decision. It took several days and at least one phone call and 2 emails to receive a tour date. The friend of the owner is the one who schedules and curates the wedding tours. She was very informative and knowledgeable about the venue. She and the owner were both accommodating when I requested a special place for our ceremony. Sounded wonderful and inviting! I told the friend of the owner that night several hours after the tour that I would like to move forward with a contract and date. That week, I did not receive any responses from my texts, emails, and phone calls. I asked my mom to try and contact her that following Saturday one week after the tour. She answered and apologized stating that she had been traveling for work (she relayed to us that she works a full time job and she is just helping her friend out on the weekends to schedule tours). She then sent me an email in response stating to give her one week to get the contract over to me. The week has past and I still yet have had any communication or received the contract. With such a lack of communication or decency for a paying customer, I would not feel comfortable to have my wedding at this location. The amount of stress a wedding comes with is unprecedented and this whole experience with this venue has left me extremely upset and disheartened. Until there is a reliable employee/and or management team in place, I would not recommend the hassle.

From my first glance out the window, I knew this day would be far better than in my dreams! From the time we met you to tour different venues, to the planning, color selection, photography, financing, and coffee date fun, I could not have asked for a more thoughtful and professional individual to coordinate our special day! I never once had to worry about contacting vendors myself, or stressing about a timeline! Denise's immense knowledge of the wedding world kept me relaxed throughout the entire process! When the much anticipated day finally arrived, my first glance outside revealed the rustic, wooden monogram, that I treasure so much, hanging in the most perfectly chosen spot! I could not wait to walk down the aisle to my future husband in such a beautiful setting, created by her artistic talents! As I walked slowly, looking into my "almost husband's" eyes, I also took the opportunity to look around me, at all the beautiful and breathtaking decor that has been created just for us. Following the ceremony, our first look at the tent and the cake was more amazing than I could have ever pictured in my mind! And my bouquet, I could never forget that! It was a Pinterest dream come true, but better! Denise is truly an artist, with a beautiful and unique imagination! I could not have asked for more. The dinner menu and place settings...WOW. I felt like I was at "grandmas house," just as planned! From the mismatched antique china, to the amazing home cooking on my plate, it was absolutely perfect and delicious! To this day, I am still getting compliments on the food from our sweet guests. To sum up our day, words cannot describe it; the closest I can come to describing it is "perfection".
