I highly recommend Jb Foundations. They were punctual, courteous, professional, personable, fair in pricing, even a follow-up call.

My family just moved into our new house in Grandview Heights and were getting some work done in the…read morebasement (new paint, new flooring, etc.). The painters noticed some mold and water damage near a few of the walls. I called Ohio Basement Authority and Jordan came out the next day. Having a finished basement makes figuring out if there is water coming in tough, but he walked me through the possibilities, and how we could remedy each one. Not being used to having a basement (I historically lived in *much* drier climates!), I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that he showed in walking me through the different situations. I decided to go with the interior waterproofing. I was scheduled to have my new flooring installed a day later, so the speediness that Jordan came out literally saved me thousands of dollars (and the time of having another floor installed!). Thanks OBA!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!…read more Ohio Basement Authority (Groundworks) severely damaged my garage and pool deck in just a few hours, then took three months to inspect the damage. I hired them to lift three garage slabs. Instead, they cracked two slabs into seven pieces, then stopped working because the concrete was "cracked beyond a level of safely lifting." Their crew created the damage, then used it as the reason they couldn't finish the job. My garage floor is still 2-3 inches lower than the surrounding slabs, making it unusable for parking and failing to meet the work promised in the contract. I spent over $11,000 for work on my garage and pool area. The result is a broken garage and multiple trip hazards they created themselves--the same hazards they use during sales presentations to justify additional work. Around my pool, one slab now sits higher than the surrounding deck, another remains lower and was left separated instead of being repositioned flush. My property is in worse condition than before they started. Management ignored my calls for three months. When they finally responded, the attitude was hostile, with statements like, "We're not responsible for our salesman's promises," and "We don't level." Once they're paid, don't expect responsive customer service. If something goes wrong, be prepared to spend months fighting just to get someone to acknowledge the problem. To make matters worse, I later learned that completely demolishing and replacing the sunken concrete would have cost about 40% less than the foam lifting system they sold me--and their foam is already showing signs of settlement. Buyer beware.

A pattern worth knowing before you hire this company: read how they respond to every negative…read morereview. I'm leaving this as a separate review specifically to document something important -- the way Stay Dry Waterproofing's owner responds to customer complaints. This isn't about one bad interaction. It's a consistent pattern, and it matters for anyone considering hiring them. Look through their reviews yourself and you'll see the same playbook every time a customer reports a real problem: One customer said the equipment sold to them was junk and the company refused to honor their guarantee. The owner's response wasn't to address the equipment -- it was to say the customer "couldn't afford the project," describe their home as neglected and mold-prone, and claim the customer cursed, threatened violence, and made sexual comments. That is an extraordinary accusation to lob at a paying customer instead of simply addressing a warranty complaint. Another customer described serious communication and coordination failures. The owner's response was to call the customer an "aggressive landlord," bring up "toxic mold" as if it reflected badly on the customer, and say "sometimes no business is good business" -- essentially framing walking away from a paying customer as a virtue. A third reviewer, a landlord who paid for an air quality test, found that the readings the company gave him were actually all within normal EPA ranges when he checked them himself -- suggesting the "problem" they quoted him $7,500 to fix may not have existed. The owner's response was to call the review false, claim the customer was "in hot water" over a tenant lawsuit, and say they refused the business for "moral reasons." Do you see the pattern? Every single complaint is met with the same move: deny it, attack the customer's character, and reframe the company as the noble party. Never once is there an acknowledgment of a mistake or an attempt at repair. We experienced this firsthand and far worse -- including threats against my elderly mother and retaliation for leaving an honest review. But even setting our experience aside, this pattern of publicly attacking customers instead of addressing legitimate complaints should be a serious red flag for anyone considering this company. As a Disabled Combat Veteran, Integrity is a key Important factor for me. StayDry (or StayWet as I…read morecall them) is the worst, most negligent and corrupt company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. No honesty, no integrity, no communication. It's been a horrifying experience, one of the worst i've had, let me tell you PLEASE BE ADVISED. Team leader Aaron started talking to my wife about how he liked large breast as well as talking about his recent divorce and how he loved young women etc...RED FLAG Guys did not have the knowledge needed to do the job. Stay Dry did not do the work in the agreed upon contract. The work they DID do was so absolutely disgraceful that they had to send a second team out to completely redo everything and still, after 3 days only completed have the work. I was told by Inspector Tyler that StayDry wanted to give me gift cards for being so understanding... I had 2 other waterproofing companies and construction company here as well as city officials including City trustee, all said work done was horrendous and not to code and that clearly StayDry is a predator company. No Communication from this company, they ghost you consistently, I emailed and called several times, multiple times a week. Did not receive a SINGLE call back as requested, in fact the Officer manager Jessica stated she personally thought the GM was waiting me out to get me to forget about the contract or give up. What kind of company does this? Basement inspector Tyler seemed to have integrity, but as Manager Jessica stated, she thinks that's why he quit and the work was never finished. SO, they lack experienced people. Honestly, there aren't enough characters to give a full review, it was that bad, I have a few pictures of how my crawlspace sits currently. After requesting via email, the work be done by the second week of March. Stay dry ghosted me. I called them over and over and received no call back. Finally, got word in one of the calls from the front officer manager that the GM wanted to just cancel the contract lol what!!!? Brother, we are way past that now. Clearly I told them that was not acceptable. I continued to call every other day asking for a return call from the manager, which I never received. Finally, an hour after they closed on the last day of the last week I gave them. I received an email stating they would be cancelling the contract because of some biohazard in my crawlspace. I am 100% sure this is actually going to be in StayDry's response if/when they do respond. This is absolute GARBAGE. I even hired a company to inspect the area, they gave an all clear and StayDry knows this, as they were told by the inspector Tyler. I have the receipts StayDry. It's insane to me that they would go this route, that a company like this can operate and STILL get new customers. I have more pictures, I have phone calls, I have text messages and emails. This is a company that literally had to be sued by it's own employees for not paying them, seriously. Go look it up. 5 months StayDry, It's been 5 months. You took a disabled vets money and left me out here with a screwed up house you PROMISED you would take care of me. I've had to apply to a charity at this point to try and get assistance in fixing the disaster you have only made worse since being here. Now, I have to worry about another expense. An attorney.
