I pay extra for the ability to bring a guest, but unfortunately, it hasn't been a smooth or professional process. The first time I brought my sister-in-law, the check-in and tour took about 45 minutes. During that time, the employee assisting us repeatedly tried to dismiss me so he could focus his attention on her. It felt less like he was trying to sign her up for a membership and more like he was personally interested in her, which made the situation awkward and embarrassing for both of us. More recently, I brought my husband in and made it very clear at check-in that I did not want a long tour, as he would not be signing up separately. The older gentleman in a red shirt told me a tour was still required but assured me it would be quick. I left my husband with him for what I expected to be a brief walkthrough while I went to the sauna. For context, I do not know this employee's name, but during the tour he shared that he "only works there because his kids are in college and you can only spend so many days drinking beer on the beach." That comment alone felt unprofessional and set the tone for the rest of the interaction. Unfortunately, it didn't improve from there. During the tour, he made several inappropriate comments to my husband, including remarks like, "Is this quick enough for your wife?" along with comments suggesting that I have a "big attitude." Speaking about a member that way to their guest is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Additionally, he brought up politics during the tour, complaining about Governor Newsom and sharing a story about gym members asking him not to discuss politics at work. He said he "glared at them until they got the point and walked away." Regardless of personal views, that kind of conversation is not appropriate in a professional setting. To be honest, this is not the first negative experience I've had when bringing in a guest. Each time, I've encountered staff behavior that lacks professionalism. While I'll admit I may have come across as direct upon arrival due to my prior experiences, I was not disrespectful or out of line. At this point, I'm seriously considering canceling my membership and returning to 24 Hour Fitness, where I've never had to deal with situations like this.

Classes are good for those…read morestarting out but you quickly feel like they aren't specifically catered for your fitness goals or aren't structured in a way that is beneficial if you do other activities outside of the gym. For example, their CS4 circuit classes target your lower body majority of the time, so if you are a runner then you risk overtraining legs or if you want an upper body workout then you have to just go to their overcrowded weights area. What especially sucks is their hours. They close early on the weekends at 6 pm. Especially during the summer when the sun sets around 7:30pm, you're not really able to get a night gym sesh in. Wish there were an. I think this gym is more for people who enjoy taking classes than those who want an open-gym experience.

I walked in a little nervous -- okay, very nervous -- since it was my first class and my first time ever doing Pilates, but I immediately felt so welcomed. Kristin was incredibly warm and kind from the start. She checked in with me throughout class, made thoughtful adjustments when I needed them, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident the whole time. That kind of attention makes such a difference! The entire class had such a supportive, positive vibe -- no intimidation, just encouragement. I woke up today definitely feeling yesterday's workout (hello, muscles I didn't know I had!) but already feeling stronger and so proud of myself for trying something new. Songs are always new and it doesn't feel like it is scheduled playlist, kind of more on the fly and organic. Please check out this studio if you can. It's located pretty close by the 5 Freeway and there's plenty of parking around. It's kind of hard to find your first time, but it's located in the lyceum village.

I signed up online to try a trial class at Core Bungee, and the booking process made it seem like…read morethe intro class was simply a "try it" session. At no point during sign-up or check-in did it clearly state that the trial would be paid, which was a bit confusing. After the initial 30-minute intro, the owner, Star, let me know the trial was $25 and offered a package of 3 classes for $69 and would wave the into class fee. I decided to go ahead and give it a fair shot and purchased the package. I returned the next day for a full class, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. The harness felt uncomfortable in certain areas, and the class itself didn't feel very cohesive. It may have been partly because it was a smaller group and adjustments were being made, but overall it didn't feel like the right workout fit. I let Star know right after class that I wouldn't be continuing and asked if a partial refund might be possible since I had only used one session. She kindly offered alternatives like Zumba or yoga classes, but since I already have access to those elsewhere, I declined. A refund wasn't offered. This review isn't about the money--it's more about transparency and customer experience. I would recommend clearly stating upfront that the intro class is paid, so there are no surprises. That said, if you're curious about bungee fitness, it could still be worth trying to see if it's a good fit for you.
