I went to Jay's barbershop yesterday to tidy up my winter shag before taking my girlfriend out to dinner. After seeing online reviews ahead of time I was expecting to recieve a good cut. I certainly got that. However, I can say that the services provided went above and beyond the call of duty. First of all, the cut looks good. Jay saw some uneven sections in my hair that my last barber had done which had become more pronounced over time. He fixed that and trimmed up my beard to match my hair. Throughout the process, he asked how I wanted certain aspects of it to look. I provided some input here and there but mostly trusted what he thought was best. This was a good decision. Since I was a new customer, Jay also provided a complimentary skin exfoliation service. I didn't realize how bad I needed it. I keep clean and scrub every day but after the application of his high end product followed by a hot towel, I was told at dinner that my skin was absolutley glowing. He also finishes off every cut using these vintage Oster Stim U Lax Handheld Vibrating Back Shoulder Hand Body Electric Massagers. Gotta say, those really ironed out all the kinks I get from sitting at a desk all day and then hitting the gym. They get riiiiiiight into those deep tissues and it's the perfect thing to send you on your way. The people here really have a passion providing excellent service. I've been looking for a good place to get my haircuts regularly ever since I started working in Milford and now I finally found it. read more

The young man who gave me a haircut butchered me, I usually don't write bad reviews, but six weeks after I'm still dealing with it. Sadly I asked for a gentlemen/business cut, come out looking like a punk rocker at sixty five years old. This place is a hard pass. I don't dare post a picture, I'm embarrassed by the cut. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the haircut my son received here. I understand that not every haircut is going to come out absolutely perfect, but this was far beyond a minor mistake. His hair was noticeably uneven throughout, with large sections cut at completely different lengths. Unfortunately, it's uneven enough that I'm not even sure it can be corrected without taking his hair significantly shorter than we wanted. What makes this even more frustrating is that I paid $48 ($8 tip-my mistake) for a CHILD'S haircut. If the barber who cut his hair is still learning or doesn't yet have the experience to complete this type of cut independently, that's completely understandable--but then someone more experienced should have been supervising and checking the haircut before we left, especially when charging full price. I reached out to the business afterward and provided photos because the difference in length is honestly shocking. At this point, I'm hesitant to even have it corrected because I don't want my son to lose significantly more hair just to make everything even. For a $40 children's cut, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a professionally finished, even haircut. Unfortunately, that was not our experience read more

A friend recommended Jay's for a good haircut so I scheduled an appointment on Booksy app for a haircut with Lucy. She did a great job and tidied up my beard and mustache. On a second visit 5 weeks later I learned that Lucy was moving to Florida. During my second haircut with Lucy I noticed the other barbers including Jay and they all did an exceptional job and paid close attention to detail. I'll be back and I highly recommend Jay's! read more

Barber was distracted the whole cut, talking to someone else while I was in the chair. Ended up leaving with a super uneven top. Had to go get it fixed at another barber. Fade was mid too read more

Great barber shop. I've been going for a couple years now and have had my hair cut by both Jorge and Jesus. Both are excellent barbers!

Listen. California got the brightest and finest but when it comes to the east it's another story specifically at this location. Talk to my guy Jonathan or anybody at this joint and they'll let your haircut speak. Wanna leave with a statement? Let it be a cut from Jays Classic Barbership. read more

After a lot of work I found the website / YELP site :-) (you could make it easier) I get hot shaves in Manhattan and Boston typically twice/mo. and this place is as good if not better Highly recommend...they take it to the next level and it's way under-priced (uh oh, I may be paying more on my next shave) You are missing out if you don't give these guys a shot read more

Check out Jays, nice ambiance, friendly and skilled staff, they do a really good job!

Was in desperate need of a haircut last weekend and my normal barber was fully booked. I asked a few friends who they use and I was suggested jay at Jay's classic. We all know going to a new barber is nerve racking but when I walked in I felt ok. I diddnt have an appointment but got into a chair quickly with one of the barbers. He asked what I wanted an i told him and he diddnt understand because I dont speak Spanish but Jay's explained it to him and I was sitting there worried as hell till he finished and I saw how he did. It came out awesome I dont know his name but I would deffinetly goto him again. The place was clean and everyone that was walking out looked top notch. I would recommend Jay's to others. read more
