My first visit there was a survey to fill out, which was great if going to the dentist actually freaked me out (which it doesn't) and I am sure it's helpful for his team making sure clients/patients have a positive experience. This past year Dr. Abdeen helped me get started with invisilign, and I am loving how straight my teeth are! When I first got invisilign he helped me or talked me through when my mouth or teeth felt weird. It took some getting used to, and he didn't mind when I called and asked questions and made sure to schedule me a slot of time if I wanted to stop in and have him take a look. My teeth feel clean when I have my semi annual cleanings, anything that needs to have an eye kept on it he makes note of, and then checks when I am back 6 months later. I received a confirmation call at 3:59 p.m. for an 8:00 a.m. appointment the following morning. I initially confirmed, then immediately reviewed my schedule and realized I could not attend. I called back at 4:01 p.m., but the office was already closed, so I left a voicemail right away to cancel. The next morning around 8:20 a.m., I received a call from Mary, the secretary, that was confrontational and scolding in tone. I was told my actions were "unacceptable," repeatedly lectured about the 48-hour cancellation policy, and spoken to as though I were personally responsible for broader scheduling issues and other patients not showing up. When I asked why my only real-time communication about this appointment occurred one minute before closing, Mary responded dismissively that a reminder text had been sent weeks earlier. Given the timing, that text could have been sent during major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), winter break, or during recent weather closures--making it very easy to miss or forget. Relying on a single text weeks in advance and then reprimanding a patient is unreasonable. I understand office policies and operational stress, but patients should still be treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the front desk experience overshadowed an otherwise positive visit, and I doubt I will be returning.

It's a brand new practice although he's been practicing for 10 years at another practice. He's very caring, explained everything, is meticulous, and has a great personality! Also, Gina at the front desk proactively checks on insurance coverage without even being asked. Most important thing is that I never feel any pain! And I love how Gina at the front desk is always running your insurance and telling you exactly what is going to be due when you're done with your exam: no surprises! It's just such a different experience for me because usually I am having to ask them to contact my insurance company and see how much this procedure is going to cost and how much out-of-pocket how much my deductible etc. ...
