We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

It's been over a year since my last review. When available,…read morewhen a four seater is available, we invite other couples to experience Chef Sean's sushi. They all know it's strictly sushi, sashimi, nigiri, etc... You don't get ramen, teriyaki meat dishes, katsu like other establishments. Should be called Sean's Strictly Sushi hahaha. I've also invited my gal friends who love sushi when I can get a two seater. Hubby doesn't mind not having some just so my friends could experience chef Sean's sushi. Everyone we've invited to dine with us were so impressed, including a sushi chef from Palm Springs. Her father owned a popular place for our 50 years, but has since retired. She was very impressed by the quality, and craftsmanship, the love Chef Sean pours into his creations. All my friends know how difficult it is to get reservations, so they rely on me to make them. Chef Sean keeps his little place clean, with relaxing music playing at all times. Usually Japanese music. But last night he had jazz playing and we loved it. We've been visiting Sean, and my check ins say we've been here over 50 times wow!!! Not only does he create quality delicious sushi, sauces, and tea, but we got to know him so well, we call him friend. Even like family since we got to meet his little one also. When he had the time, Chef Sean and his little one had attend events that we put on. Thank you Chef Sean for giving us quality sushi in our little town of Kent. If you haven't been to sushi Kaunta, follow him on IG so you know when reservations are open, and you can enjoy even if you have to wait weeks to get in.

You do have to put a $40/person deposit but it gets refunded once you pay for your meal. There is street parking available. The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

Wait started probably around 6pm although there were still empty tables then. They provide garnishes for your water and also provide 4 salsas/accompaniments for your meal. I got the 16 oz ribeye served on hot stones. They cooked it slightly less than what you want, so for my medium rare, they cook it rare. It also comes with chimichurri and molacete(?) which has a more refreshing flavor. They season with rosemary and even light a branch on fire for more aroma. I tried a bite of my friend's filet mignon which was good, but my preferred cut is the ribeye or NY strip. We also shared the papa loca (worth it - so good) and the cauliflower (not as good, but I'm comparing it to a version made by Cuerno, a Mexican steakhouse in NY). I had a glass of the pinot noir and the garzon, and both were good, slightly tannic and 'juicy'.

The first time I got the Wagyu tacos which were sooo good and I love the variety and flavor of the sauces. I loved how simple the taco Wagyu is as the meat is high quality For my second visit I got the Vacio Wagyu which came in a sizzling hot stone plate and it stayed hot for me to cook all of my Wagyu. It didn't really need the accompanied sauce but it was nice to have. I felt the large rock salt was a little bit nub and would make it too saucey but I found the rosemary a perfect combination with the Wagyu especially as one was cooking underneath. Excellent service as well - our server was attentive and timely. I've only gone here for lunch and we did not have to make a reservation as it was not too busy!

It's a great deal for all you can eat sushi, ramen, grilled meats, and more! My girlfriend and I…read moretried it out for the first time last night, and the interior was nice and clean. Our server explained how the ordering worked, and they had little robots bringing the food over. They had a great variety of sushi options including handrolls, specialty rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and more. The fish wasn't fishy for the sashimi or other items which is always a big relief. We ended up getting the gold option which included the sashimi and nigiri options. So if you're into raw fish, we highly recommend getting that dining option. They also had a mini salad and fruit bar, but because we came closer to closing they weren't as stocked up as I assume they would be during peak hours. Overall if you're hungry and looking for a good deal, highly recommend checking this place out. I believe they do reservations for future dates but not same day reservations. When we went in there was no wait time so it was good timing. They're also located in a shopping outlet area so there's plenty of parking.

You can order up to 15 items every 15 minutes with a 90 minute cap no matter how small or big your party is. With that being said, I've been here a few times ever since moving to the area the past year and the staff has always been very friendly and I appreciate the consistency of the items throughout each of the visits. Our go to are the Seared Salmon along with the Unagi Bowl. The way the sear the fish and add just the right amount of sauce makes those our go to. With more and more visits, we've come to know which items we want to select for our rounds. The decor is cool with the floating umbrellas and the lively music playing. At the end, you can help yourself to an ice cream bar or sandwich near the check in desk.

Despite that, I would order it again. I ordered an unsweetened hot matcha latte that was perfect. Service was kind and efficient. Nice and open space. The cushion on the bench could use a bit more padding. Would eat there again.

So I was really disappointed to walk away empty-handed this time... The ambiance remains as good as ever, featuring updated signage, fresh branded visuals, and clean, well-maintained self-serve counters that show very efficient management. Service: We arrived around 1:00 PM and there was only one server on duty. After walking in, we had to wait a short while before being greeted, though the overall service itself was still quite good. Flavor: First off, many of their previous staple dishes are gone. There were only four types of beef available, and they all looked pretty much identical... Many offal items, like tripe, have completely disappeared. The reason traditional Sichuan hot pot relies on heavy oil and high spice is, to an extent, to mask the strong gamey notes of offal. But with the limited selection available now, the offal's raw taste remains even after boiling. On top of that, the beef completely fell apart in the pot. If quality control is lacking at this level, even switching to an all-you-can-eat model won't turn things around.

Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.
