They called today and wanted to setup our agreement just in time for me to pay through the winter. The guy was a jerk and rude when I asked, knowing it was non-refundable, for a refund. I think a reasonable company would say, we didn't hold up our end of the deal. We will give you a refund on your deposit. Instead I got excuses about the extenuating circumstances, covid, a drowning, etc. Covid wasn't new this winter, so that isn't a good excuse and what a horrible person to use a tragic drowning as crutch to get around his side of the deal. By the "letter of the law" they did nothing wrong but it sure reveals their character. So, he wants me to consider extenuating circumstances, but he doesn't want to grant the same to the people that expected to use the lake this summer. This review won't hurt them as the waiting list was very long to get in the slips but I hope it at least alerts people to the type of people they are working with.

Renting a pontoon costs some cash, but make it a day and bring your own food/drinks. Everybody loves it! We bring floats and rent the pad as well.

Wasn't special by any means but it was clean, well taken care of, and had a friendly staff. It was exactly what you'd want out of a lake marina. The ship store had what you needed and made some pretty good pizzas. However, the couple that took over ownership have decided to turn it into a destination and boy howdy have they done a great job. The whole atmosphere has become electric. Yes, it still is VERY well maintained but the changes they've made have been fantastic. The expansion on the back side, is amazing. First Fridays are killer, the ship store is awesome and the pizzas are still off the hook delicious. I hope, as do the new owners, this place turns into the epic getaway that it can be. They're making all the right moves to turn Clinton Marina into a little paradise just outside Lawrence. My only concern is parking. On busy holidays, beware, parking can get a little tough and require a bit of a walk. Outside of the parking lot issue, Clinton Marina is a great little Oasis smack dab in the middle of the prairie.

My family has camped and kept our boats at North Shore Marina for three years now. The kids love being close to both the beach, parks, and the marina. AND.. My husband and I enjoy summers with our family without going broke. This marina offers: free boat launching (with a small fee if you want them to launch), boat repair and parts, gas, convenience store, nice campingsite, covered and uncovered boat slips, along with storage of your summer toys for the winter. AND probably other misc things that I have just never needed before It has been my experience that the owners and regular campers are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The only reason that I knocked off a star is because the campsite needs some maintenance. However, the new ownership has made a huge difference in only a few months. So, I expect to be able to give it 5 stars by next summer!

Check in tell them NEVER been here as i grew up in the area was back for reunion wanted to support local business this was a HUGE slap in my face for that. If you stay at "motel" you SHARE BATHROOM with everyone who checks in, docks there and all. Bathroom was stool, sink, shower 4 of them in total. 1 only toilet worked, 2nd one you open the door, and the port-a-potty smell blows you away,3rd go to take shower and it is full of mosquitoes, spiders and curtain half up from bottom FULL OF MOLD. Heck i could have just jumped in lake and got a better shower. When i return to my room on the 1st night the GATE to the dock was closed and locked?! WTH?!! Management NEVER told me about this how do i get to my room? No one answered phone, called security people as well no answer shook gate only had key to my room but there was no key slot for it to try. Went back to my truck very UPSET, PISSED OFF and MAD!!! Got to looking at keychain my room key was on and found a grey plastic circle thing, so gathered my things and headed back to the gate. 20+ minutes and still no return phone call, email or message from anyone with this establishment. I found a tan plastic plate cover with a red light in the middle i waved my hand nothing, tried the "grey plastic circle thing" and boom gate opened. WOW THANKS A LOT FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THIS!! I was so done with this place that if i could have dropped my key off and got my $$ back i would have that night. Lots of extras as well in fine print. NO REFUNDS, take out your own trash or get charged extra, take out your towels and wash clothes or get charged...so how the HECK is this a MOTEL?!! I have NEVER had to take out my laundry, trash or share a bathroom with anyone at a MOTEL!! In a boarding house why YES, that makes sense. They should tell you all of this on their website, but they don't or make it clear to you when you make reservations. Plus, they should make sure to tell you of how to open gate, that it will close at a certain time. Oh, and that there are only lights from docked boats to show you the way on the dock once you are past the gate. So, you are walking in dark on floating dock/ramp with little or no light and you are handicap well don't miss step or over you go into the lake hope you don't hit your head on anything on way over. Totally unsafe, hazardous, dirty and wouldn't even refer my worst enemy to stay here. ZERO, is the best rating i could give unless you can let me leave -*
