Apparently alcohol regulations in Pennsylvania are meh, so getting alcohol out of state is always preferred. We pulled up to State Line and it looked pretty rough. But we went in and it turned out to be amazing! Such a good selection, and like others have said, it goes on forever! My friend spent time picking out wine and I immediately zeroed in on the beer. There's a little bar in the back and the guy working helped me orient myself. I ended up buying a bunch of local sours from Maryland and Delaware breweries. They also had a special of 20 percent off bottles of wine that are $20 or more for the month of August, so my friend got a great bargain on her purchase. Everyone is also really nice here! So don't judge a book by its cover. I will definitely swing by here again next time I'm in Maryland.

Super cheap and tasty wines in the boat! So amazing it is almost mythical... here is the story…read more One day I walked into Weavers, B-lined to the Wine Boat (as I always do). After 2 minutes picking out wines I noticed a wine that I knew all too well. One of my favorite white wines of all time. I know this wine because I lived in Rome for a year an actually purchased a case directly from the vineyard in Tuscany. I paid 100 euros for this case at the time about 145$ not too bad for a top notch wine. But here I am standing in Elkton MD looking at the exact same wine for less than 60$ for a case... HOW CAN THIS BE?! I was there, at the vineyard, I paid cash, they didn't ship it! Regardless I snagged myself another case took it home and sure enough, same wine, same vineyard, same year, everything! Only difference my wine was in Italian and Weavers was in English. Trust me, both are super tasty. I go well out of my way to go to Weavers. The best wine, beer and liquor prices I've found!

We got malbec, cab, merlot, sauv blanc, etc. and they taste as great as any more expensive brands in my opinion - it's just the overstock bottles that they're trying to push. Coming from Philadelphia, I found the rest of the store to be pretty good prices too! I'm looking forward to my next pit stop here in the near future.

After taking us past several empty booths (that looked really cozy), they seated us in an awkward corner in the back at what felt like a make-shift table. Not what we expected with having reservations, but we tried to be positive. We then waited about 10 minutes without anyone coming by to take even a drink order. It wasn't until I made eye contact with who appeared to be a manager that we were finally acknowledged. To his credit, he stepped in and took our order, and the food arrived quickly--but that's where the positives ended. The dishes themselves were underwhelming--lacking creativity and flavor, especially for a venue that presents itself as a speakeasy-style experience. If you're going to lean into that concept, the drinks or the food (ideally both) need to stand out. Here, neither did. For a milestone occasion, the service and overall experience felt inattentive and disappointing. There's potential here, but based on this visit, it missed the mark in a big way.

We dined in on a Friday but we arrived early around 4:30. We were the only people in the one dining area with two others at the bar so not sure why the food took so long. However, the timeliness (& the heat) was my only complaint. The beer was great as well as the food!
