When my husband and I decided it was time to purchase our seven figure home dream home in the San Diego area, I knew exactly who to call: Jay Becker. Jay is the President of Lux-RE-Homes.com and the company's Ocean View Realty Division specializes in Ocean and Bayfront luxury properties along the San Diego coast. Although we had not yet met in person met, I had been using his website for about 2 years to watch the San Diego real estate market. We found the company's website comprehensive, informative, and the most user friendly site on the Internet. Features such as the advanced search function and mapping/satellite image capabilities were particularly helpful since we lived out of state. When we finally met in person I was beyond thrilled to find him not only as professional and helpful as his website, but genuinely honest and caring as well. Jay cleared his calendar for us when arrived in San Diego to begin looking in earnest. We were initially hoping to find an ocean view home, but all of the houses that I had requested to look at weren't quite "a fit". That's when Jay said, "Now, I'd like to show you a home that I've found for you." He took us to a magnificent, contemporary, remodeled, Bay Front home that matched our taste exactly. Jay's knowledge of the area and interaction with other sales and listings on the very street we were buying provided us with confidence that this purchase decision was very advantageous, and our timing was perfect. Oh, and it also had the most spectacular views we had ever seen in our lives. We're talking bay/ocean views from every room, not to mention all of the patios and the rooftop deck! We made an offer that night and had an acceptance by the next morning. During the escrow, the sale of our current home, which is out of state, began to fall apart. The listing agent was unable to correct the course, and both parties were parting ways. Jay interjected himself into the transaction and provided an innovative solution that was amenable to the buyer that saved the deal. At that point we knew it was all meant to be happen, and it was a story-book ending. It all still feels like a dream, but we are really living it, thanks to Jay! Since our purchase we referred Jay directly to close friends of ours whom are presently happily working with him to find their perfect home as well. Karen J. read more

I can confidently say that Jay Becker and his team at Sotheby's are the best Agents in San Diego by a long shot. I worked with Jay on my first home purchase in 2013 and again just recently when we bought our 2nd home in San Diego. In 2013 we purchased a townhome in Crown Point San Diego that Jay said was a very wise investment and that turned out to be true as property value has increased 30% since we purchased. I knew absolutely nothing about buying a property but Jay makes it easy and will educate you along the way. Just recently Jay guided us through our 2nd home purchase in the "Burbs" Of Rancho Penasquitos ... He played an instrumental role in helping my wife and I come out on top and a very sought after home that had over 10 competing offers on it. The thing that stands out with Jay right away is his experience level. Jay knows the entire San Diego Market like the back of his hand. He may tell you he specializes in coastal properties but we wanted to buy a home in Rancho Penasquitos and Jay came through all the same. He brought us properties that hadn't even hit the market yet so that we could better understand the bang for your buck in "PQ"... but he has been through every possible scenario that can come up in a home purchase or sale and he handles them all with grace and Class. Jay will never make a decision for you but he will give you all the info you need and help you understand how to make the best decision for what you want. Zero pressure . I came to Jay 3 other times over the last 5 years when we were thinking of making another purchase and each time we decided at the last stage to back out because for whatever reason the timing wasn't right. I never got the impression that Jay was annoyed or bothered when we kept backing out , he was always understanding and because of that I stayed in touch. Don't mess around with an inexperienced Agent. Buying or selling a home is too important to put the outcome in someone else hands that doesn't know what they are doing. Call Jay Becker and set up a meeting. I can assure you that when you meet Jay and you do some research on him and his firm you will be confident he is the right Agent for you. 10/10 , 5 Stars, A+ agent ... you won't regret it! read more

My husband and I recently bought a lovely luxury home in Mission Hills, San Diego and utilized Jay Becker of Lux-RE-Homes.com as our real estate agent. Lux-RE-Homes.com markets themselves as a boutique firm for discerning buyers that seek a higher level of personal attention and expertise. Their websites were very easy to navigate, and enabled us to search all homes on the market in San Diego. This put us in the driver's seat and gave us a better understanding of the market in various neighborhoods. Jay is quite knowledgeable about the San Diego premium home market. He did a great job helping us to see the pros and cons of various properties, and the negotiation strategies he used saved us thousands of dollars, time, and energy. The home buying process could have been very stressful if we did not have Jay's leadership in navigating us through all of the steps calmly and thoroughly. Jay is the President of the company, and is very detailed and kept us posted every day during our purchase. It took us 10 weeks to close due to the state of the mortgage industry, and Jay encouraged us to keep with it instead of giving up. Trust, integrity, and respect are 3 traits I looked for in a real estate agent, and that is the culture that he imparts through the way he conducts himself and leads the company. Jay has all these traits as well as being a nice, down to earth, genuine person. Genuine client service is a lost art these days, and it is nice to know there are still companies and individuals out there that are in the business to serve their clients best interests first. We will use his services again next time we need a real estate agent, and we plan on recommending him and Lux-RE-Homes.com to friends and relatives as well. We finally met Jay Becker in person after nearly a year of phone calls -- him following up with us regularly to see when we might make it to San Diego to do some house-hunting. We'd tripped across his great website, which made househunting much easier, and he'd kept in touch since our initial query. Jay's polite persistence impressed us, and we felt he treated us consistently as valued clients whether our down payment was smallish, as it was in the beginning of our search, or whether it was bigger as it became this year, when we were able to consider a wider range of properties. We just closed on a beautiful place in La Jolla and credit Jay's savvy approach for the success of our offer. Jay is aggressive in a good way, courteous, highly organized in his approach, and has a lot of knowledge and good instincts for neighborhoods and individual properties that will hold and increase in value. We covered a lot of territory with him in a few hours on two days and he helped us quickly narrow down our options. He was very patient with our lender, who was out-of-town and less organized than Jay and his team. We came to Jay via the Web without a recommendation from anyone else, so we were going strictly on our personal experience with him. We've bought and sold a few properties so we like to think we know what we're doing. One thing we kept saying during this process was "if this guy is for real, he's really good." Now we can say he's for real and he truly is really good. He got us a great deal and we are grateful to have worked with him. read more

If you're looking for an exceptional real estate agent, I can't recommend Jay Becker highly enough! From the very beginning, Jay made the entire home-buying process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. His knowledge of the San Clemente market, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to our best interests were evident every step of the way. Jay was always available to answer our questions, explain the process, and provide honest advice that helped us make confident decisions. He was incredibly responsive, patient, and proactive, making sure nothing slipped through the cracks. We always felt like we had someone truly advocating for us. Thanks to Jay's expertise and dedication, we found the perfect property in San Clemente, and we couldn't be happier. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled professionally and efficiently from our first showing through closing. If you're buying or selling a home, do yourself a favor and work with Jay Becker. He's knowledgeable, trustworthy, hardworking, and genuinely cares about his clients. We are so grateful for everything he did for us and would recommend him without hesitation! read more

Jay Becker has represented us on 3 transactions within the last 2 years. We purchased a new condo, and after a short while felt we wanted to expand to a detached home for greater privacy. Concerned we might lose money from the initial purchase we just bought, with Jay's help we sold at a six-figure profit. On our subsequent purchase, we navigated the fiercely competitive detached home market. We faced intense competition with several other buyers. We did not want to get our hopes up, but Jay skillfully negotiated a winning offer structure and we prevailed in a multiple counter showdown. Jay was also able to negotiate reasonable repairs and additional furniture to be included. It was a complete home run for us in every way. We were so very satisfied. Jay brings a wealth of long-time practical experience and expertise to the buying and selling process. He also made the process worry free. Jay also surrounds himself with excellent support staff, including the account transaction coordinator, escrow and title companies. We highly recommend Jay Becker without reservation. read more

My wife and I had Jay Becker as our agent to sell our Sorrento Valley Condo in the Sorrento Ridge development in Feb. 2017. I really can't speak highly enough about job that he did. Our condo ended up selling for the highest amount in our entire development and we really couldn't have been happier. At our first meeting with Jay, it was immediately apparent that he was highly competent and great at what he does. Every aspect of selling our home was seamless and easy with Jay guiding us through the process. He was always available to answer questions and guidance. He really did go the extra mile by doing things that other agents I have worked with in the past did not. The effort he took into staging the property appropriately and thoroughly marketing the property really made a huge difference. He was incredibly sharp and professional throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Jay if you are looking for an agent to buy or sell a home, I can assure that you will not be disappointed. Matt Bober read more

"Jay has been our agent now for over 2yrs and over that time has worked tirelessly on securing the best properties for us as a family. On hand, at times 24hrs a day!!! We cannot speak highly enough or recommend him more strongly. He has negotiated and talked us through the rental and buying process, scheduled appointments at a moments notice, accompanied us on countless viewings, always prepared to go that extra mile. On our eventual purchase Jay really stepped up to the mark, ensuring that we not only got the best price but that every detail in the contract had been meticulously studied and confirmed, ensuring that there were no hidden surprises on completion. Thanks again for spending the time to really understand, what we as your clients required from a home. Tony, Johanna and family." read more

Jay helped us by a home in the $3.5M range in a crazy hot market. He advised us on strategy to secure the deal and followed through relentlessly to ensure we got the home. He also helped negotiate the best terms and was a tremendous asset throughout the process.  He also ensured the home was worry free by negotiating several final fixes and finishes with the builder. Jay also helped us sell our previous home for almost $3M.  This was a record for the area.  He managed the entire process including all the home improvements, painting and contractors to get the home looking perfect and staged. He went above and beyond ensuring the deal happened and was a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend Jay enough - he is outstanding. read more

I have been both a home buyer AND a home seller with Jay Becker of Pacific Sotheby's, and very highly recommend him. He works tirelessly for his clients and is a dogged advocate for them. As a longtime veteran of the San Diego real estate market, Jay's experience in and knowledge of the local market and national state of the industry is unsurpassed. Twice now, Jay has awed me with his attention to detail, willingness to listen and then act on my behalf, and his meticulous and unrelenting thoroughness in overseeing the legal and industry-specific details of home purchases and sales. Most importantly, Jay accomplishes all this while being humble, kind and easy to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

I worked with Jay 10 years ago on my first property. I was in my early 20's and new to San Diego. He was the only agent I could find that had my best interest. He was down to earth and honest. Something I could sense right away from a two minute phone conversation. He was a pleasure to work with. Fast forward to 2021. We were looking for our dream home. In this competitive market I knew I could count on Jay. He was able to help us secure the first house we fell in love with. We closed in 30 days. Jay makes things happen and has your best interest. He is hardworking, down to earth, and knows what he needs to do in thr real estate business. He will forever be our agent! Thanks Jay read more

A Great Experience! I purchased a condo in Downtown San Diego with the help of Jay at LUX-RE-HOMES.com. It was the best experience with a realtor that I have had to date out of many purchases. Jay had an expert grasp of the market. Jay negotiated outstanding terms for me as the buyer, and guided the purchase through to a swift conclusion. As you readers are probably aware, there are dozens of details and many issues that arise in the purchase of a unit, yet the process was very smooth. This was a busy time for me both personally and professionally, and I was new to the area, so Jay's focus was important to me and effective for me. Highly recommended to manage your purchase. read more

I honestly never take the time to do reviews, but the professionalism, responsiveness, work effort, and expert guidance Jay Becker gave my wife and I was absolutely outstanding. This was our second home, so we knew about the process and generally what to expect, but Jay made the search, the bidding, and closing the transaction so seamless. Any hiccup (not by Jay, but from the seller, seller's agent, title company, etc.) was immediately addressed and a solution was provided. I can't say enough great things about Jay. We are now very happy owners of a beautiful home in the San Elijo Hills area. Thank you Jay - we look forward to working with you in the future! read more

Jay helped us to find our first home in La Costa. As first time home buyers, we were in uncharted waters. Jay helped us navigate the unfamiliar territory, acting as our realtor, psychologist, teacher, cheerleader, and coach. He went above and beyond to help us achieve our home buying goal and was honest, friendly, and communicative throughout the whole process. We've been in our home for 2 years, we LOVE our home, and it has greatly appreciated in value in the meantime. We couldn't be happier! We would definitely choose Jay to be our realtor in the future and would recommend his expertise to all of our friends. read more

My brother and I bought a great house about two years ago and it all happened because of Jay Becker's amazing ability to work with people in a professional manner. He secured us a nice detached home in Clairemont despite 9 other offering parties and it all came down to a letter he had written to the seller. Without Jay, we would have never obtained the property and I can say without any hesitation that Jay Becker is the most awesome real estate agent we've ever worked with.
