My two-year-old showed little progress, and the sessions often felt disorganized. At times, I had to step in and ask, "What should we be doing next?" Meanwhile, my daughter would wander out of the pool, and I found myself chasing her while the instructor struggled to keep her engaged. It became clear that the instructor didn't have experience with toddlers--something she later confirmed by saying she had only worked with children as young as eight. This program may be better suited for older kids, but it should not advertise itself as appropriate for children under six. Overall, it was a disappointing experience

For the longest time I thought they were 'just a fish shop', but then realised they are also a rescue centre with a huge range of animals, from the adorable axolotl's to a giant albino python called Buttercup who is currently my child's favourite thing in the world, koi and turtle ponds, some lovely frogs, and host regular sensory friendly events. This is a wonderful place to introduce your child to a new wide range of creatures they would otherwise not have the opportunity to engage with. They also have an on-site café that apparently serves some of the greatest chicken nuggets in Jacksonville, and a small shop. The staff are knowledgeable and patient, the owner is a gem of a man, the facilities are clean and beautifully decorated, and if you're just here to look, it's a wonderful way to kill an hour. When we found Country Bumpkins, not only were they conveniently located, but we LOVED the atmosphere and they had a clean inspection record. Their building and playground are tree covered, so you have tons of shade over a huge playground and they even have a splash pad for the summer! The owners become your friends and they really care about the children. With my daughter, she was so smart and verbal, we knew that if anything was wrong, she would tell us, but there was no need to worry, as this place is one of the few that actually, really care. They occasionally have parties and have a real, live DJ for the kids!!!! What daycare/PreK does that? For the end of the year party, they danced with a DJ outside, with hula hoops, a bubble machine and slushies. What facility is going to pay that much attn to detail if they didn't care and want the best for your kids? My daughter started here and now my son is wrapping up his PreK year and going to Kindergarten next year. And we have referred friends and family who are going there now.
