I'm gonna start off by saying the fried shrimp is an absolute must! The crunch, the flavor, the proportion, everything was just great. The bulgogi was nicely seasoned, not too sweet and well-balanced. The spicy pork had a slight kick but nothing too crazy. Good flavors! The beef rib is actually one I didn't like. I thought it was a bit bland and really needed some kind of sauce to go with it. I would suggest the wasabi one. Even then, not a favorite. The rose tteokbokki was nice! Normally it's pretty heavy at places I've had it. This one the cream is lighter and personally I love that more. Although, it doesn't stick on the rice cake as much as thicker sauces, I do prefer it more. They give bacon slices and even a quail egg in there. I love that they have a half portion size (normally a full is way too much for me), so I appreciate it. The service was also very nice! All of the workers were very kind and it was such a homey setting. I would highly recommend you come support this small business. They also have a catering party tray, which I, of course, ordered after doing a trial run of their food. Can't wait to get my kimbap fix from here in the future! read more

TLDR - Food is okay, service is okay, vibes are homey. Get the chicken! I would start off by saying that the interior is really clean and it's a good place for you to sit down and have a meal with friends or family. But in terms of service, when you enter, you're met with a kiosk so there isn't really any human interaction - just you and a screen. For some people that might be a plus, for me it was a minus. The important stuff - the food. TBH the food is pretty average in terms of korean food. HOWEVER, their chicken is arguably some of the best tenders I've had lol. It's just seasoned so well and has a good kick to it. I'd recommend the chicken. The TPK is standard and okay but by no means is it bad. I would say it's better than it is bad. The kimbap is average- nothing crazy, and I'd say the same for the soondae. Overall, I'd say that across the board, I had a good experience but mainly because the experience wasn't bad LOL read more

We stopped by for lunch the other day since we were in the area and needed somewhere that served something for all our different cravings, and this ended up being perfect. Kiddo got his fried chicken and jaws slushie, hubs got his spicy rose mala toppoki, and I got the comforting fish cake soup and kimbap to soothe my weary soul. The Jawsome Set is such an amazing deal! You can choose different sauces and toppings, and the new rose mala sauce might just be our favorite sauce we've tried with toppoki so far. It was loaded with bulgogi, fish cakes, quail eggs, potato noodles, and cheese. It also came with Korean sausage, a set of deep fried goodies like shrimp and dumpling stuffed with noodles, and a huge portion of fish cake soup to share. We added the fried chicken and kimbap to satisfy our cravings but we ended up with a lot of leftovers. The owners were so sweet, they explained the menu and took such good care of us while we dined. You can tell this spot is super new, it's so clean and bright. I def wanna come back with friends and hang out over beer. They even have a make your own ramen station that we want to try next time. read more

It's our first time here, the place is nice and clean, the food is so delicious. I recently visited Jaws Topokki and it honestly felt like I was back in Korea. This place has some of the best Korean street food I've had in the U.S. The Tokbokki was perfectly chewy with a rich, flavorful sauce, and everything tasted so authentic. I also tried the kimbap, dumplings, and fried seaweed rolls (kim-mari), and they were all delicious Especially when dipped in the Tokbokki sauce, just like how it's done in Korea! The variety of classic street food really gave me that nostalgic, "walking through a Korean street market" vibe. :) On top of that, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you're craving real Korean street food, this spot is definitely worth visiting! read more

am so glad Jaws Topokki is in Chino Hills! The topokki (rice cakes) is absolutely delicious--perfectly chewy and the sauce is so flavorful. But the coolest part has to be the DIY instant ramen station! It is so fun to pick out your ramen and make it yourself right there. It pairs perfectly with the spicy topokki and crispy fried sides. This place is soo good!! It has been my go to since they opened for topokki because it is not that spicy and I have a pretty low tolerance level for spicy food. Their rose topokki is my favorite it is a must try! They also have weekday specials and the prices are amazing considering it comes with its own soup and a drink. I came here since they opened recently near Starbucks. The place is clean with a good amount of seating. I got their Spicy pork gimbap ($9.99) with a blue raspberry slushie. They also gave me a side of their fried chicken to try to as a grand opening special. Their gimbap was good, the pork had a good amount of heat but not too spicy. My husband and I dined here for the first time today. They open at 10:30am which is convenient if you want to come for an early lunch. The interior was spotless. We could get our own water and I saw they had a ramen station where you could cook and make your own ramen. We ordered the Beef Rib Gimbap, Duo Set with Rose Toppoki soup + deep fried set, and a bulgogi rice bowl. The gimbap was refreshing with all the veggies inside, it was flavorful on its own. Nice spot and nice quick service here. The place was squeaky clean and inviting. The food was spicy though! I'm ok with medium spice but even their standard fried chicken had a good kick, as did the standard topokki. I recommend the cheese balls and cheese sticks, as the rest of the fried set meal comprising of shrimp, squid, sweet potato, and veggie cake was just ok. read more

I stopped by on a Saturday night and was surprised to find the dine-in area empty--though very clean and well-kept--but they were clearly busy with a steady flow of to-go orders. Ted was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the different spice levels to me. If you're not used to eating tteokbokki, I'd definitely recommend starting with mild. ORDERED: Rose Topokki Soup + Tuna Gimbap + Jaws Fried Chicken + Jaws Slushie TASTE: I've had Jaws at other locations and usually get the Jaws Topokki Soup but my husband wanted to try the Rose flavor this time. It was cheesy and had a very slight kick. I wish we could get this spicier lol. But overall it was good! We added ramen to ours and it actually came out in a separate packaging instead of inside the Topokki. The tuna gimbap is a classic and one of my faves. It's a tuna mayo mixture where the mayo isn't overly powering. The veggies inside are nice and crisp. The fried chicken came out piping hot. It looks like there's green onions in the batter itself and it was seasoned nicely. The slushie is strawberry and blue raspberry flavored. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. SERVICE: Standard service. We went during opening weekend so I think they're still learning their groove and flow. I didn't feel like we were waiting too long for our food. There was a table next to us where they dropped their spoon and they quickly came by with a new spoon without being asked. I thought that was great and showed they're being observant of their surroundings. VIBES: There's only about 6 tables inside so quite a few people were ordering for takeout instead. It's a casual food setting where you order at the counter and then sit down. When I first walked in, I felt like it was weirdly quiet though despite everyone inside lol. Maybe some light music playing can help with that lol. PARKING: It's in a decent sized plaza but there's a lot of other restaurants so the spots can fill up fast depending on time of day. But if you don't mind walking a bit more then you can always park a little further and it shouldn't be an issue. TLDR: A decent topokki spot with a variety of gimbaps to choose from. read more

First time coming and I'm Korean from South Korea! I have been living in Chino Hills for 20 years, and let me tell you! I am so glad they opened! I love Jaws to begin with. If you like authentic Korean street food, you will love Jaws. Sometimes flavors vary location by location, but the Chino Hills location was the best I've had so far! Spicy rice cake's flavor is on point and amount was more than enough! And atmosphere was awesome and owners were so nice and sweet! restaurant is so clean and nice! I love tteokbokki, and Jaws Tteokbokki is my absolute favorite! I'm a spice lightweight, but I still ordered the regular spicy to protect my pride. My friend and I ordered the Friend Set, and it was so much food that we couldn't finish it. The gimbap was so pretty that I almost didn't want to eat it -- and of course, it was delicious. They also gave us free fried chicken as a promotion, and it was super crispy and tasty. The staff was also incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. If you're a tteokbokki fan, you have to try this place -- and don't forget to get the sikhye slush! It's a must. read more

Jaws Topokki finally opened in Chino Hills, and we're so happy we no longer have to drive to further cities! We ordered two "Friends Sets," chicken, plus Bareun Gimbap (their signature) and Tuna Gimbap. The portions were generous--perfect for five adults and a few kids to share. Everything tasted great and felt fresh. Since it's newly opened, the restaurant is very clean with a neat, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was also super friendly; she even explained their new slush options. Highly recommend the shikhye (rice) slush--it pairs perfectly with the spicy topokki! Really good food for great price!!!! We ordered Bulgogi gimbap and Jaws Topokki Gimbap filling so much vegetable inside is fresh and crunchy. We also order the wasabi dip in sauce. The sauce is decent too! Topokki is freshly cook right on the texture of the rice cakes was just right--you could tell they were freshly made and they tasted great. We ordered the regular spicy level, which was a bit spicy for people who can't really handle heat, but not overwhelmingly so. Highly recommended. read more

KPOP music videos are being projected on the walls in multiple spots, with an endless playlist of current trendy songs. Why go to the BTS concert when we have BTS here?? The server was the sweetest and I feel bad I didn't get her name! She was calm, cool, and so pleasant to talk to. We had taken out time to wait for our sister to arrive. We ended up ordering their cheese corn, kimchi pancakes, French fries, and bulgogi tacos. We also ended up ordering lychee soju, apple mango soju, and a pitcher of Mango Cart. Our food came in waves, which was great because we were busy watching the music videos. They were super distracting and mesmerizing. I believe the kimchi pancakes were fantastic!
