(For the record, I could afford to buy half the store if I chose to.) Did they not see me because I was not a white, tall guy? Maybe. On the upside, they were able to send a vintage Omega watch in to the company for service. Everything went well, if not for the delay of having to go to Switzerland and then being delayed further by COVID; not Reed's fault. They were very helpful and friendly for this process. On the downside, they aren't really interested in doing any watch work. I was told, with reluctance that I could leave my watch for small things like a strap or battery change, and it would be a minimum of five business days. These are usually done while you wait in my experience, most places. The same person told me it would be better to go to Times at Hand, another business. I received that as a polite "no thank you" to my request. Also, I tried several times to purchase a new watch there, but their Rolex display was mostly empty. They had only a few less desirable models like two-tone Datejusts, and ladies models. Also, they insist on full MSRP for Omega which can typically be had for a 20% discount from an authorized dealer (not grey market). Overall I could wonder if my experience would have been different if I were the suit-and-tie dressed patron they may see more often. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but they won't be the first business I think of for higher end watch business.
