I went there today to purchase a piece of jewelry. The store wasn't crowded or very busy. I was completely ignored by the staff. Not even a greeting when I came in. Some was standing around making small talk with friends/customers. I waited around for 10-15 minutes to look at some pieces. Another gentleman walked in, a salesperson immediately came up and talked to him, you know, like a typical salesperson is supposed to do. Hmmmmmm... Did that guy look like he had money and I didn't? (For the record, I could afford to buy half the store if I chose to.) Did they not see me because I was not a white, tall guy? Maybe. This being near the Landfill/Wrightsville areas, full of hoytie/toytie people, I wouldn't doubt it. Anyway, they lost a sale today and many future sales. This is not the way to run a business, though. read more

I had to have my wedding rings enlarged due to inflammation in my hand after breaking my wrist a year ago. I didn't know where to go since I'm new to the area but found Lumina on Yelp. They told me my rings would be done in about a week but they were done the next day! I was also surprised with the price. I thought it would be double what they charged me. They were very nice and professional as well. Highly recommend. read more

I had promised my wife a diamond ring for Christmas. I was dismayed when talking to other jewelers. I found Lumina Gem by chance when pricing a watch with a friend. Geri helped me and we started looking around at the rings. Lumina and Geri helped up find the perfect ring for my wife and it was custom made to her taste. The Diamond is beautiful and the setting superb. The jeweler who made the ring was an amazingly good craftsman. We are so happy and would recommend this jewelry store to anyone who needs jewelry. read more

Lumina Gem - Jewelry Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

Could not be happier with Lumina Gem. Have purchased jewelry, had repairs done on watches and gemstones and they were always accompanied by friendliness and professionalism. They will always be my first and go-to jewelers. read more

The store was very neat and extremely clean! All glass displays were clean and not a single scratch or flaw. There's NOTHING under 50$. The smallest piece of jewelry was a round, thin gold necklace charm that looked like a coin was at the 50$ limit. They'll engraved anything that has the space for it but every letter or symbol has a single price. read more

Just wanted to thank Lumina gem again for the great shopping experience. I originally bought mixed metal earrings from Nina Nguyen as a gift for mom. She lives in Charlotte, NC and I live in Richmond, VA. Last weekend I was finally able to give her the earrings. She LOVED them and they looked SO beautiful on her. I loved the hand written note that Jenna wrote, it was such a nice touch. Wanted to thank you again for the great buying, and giving experience. I look forward to my next visit to Lumina Gem, this time, for ME! read more

I've been shopping at Lumina Gem since it opened. Their store is even more beautiful now that they have more space. I've bought jewelry for myself and found some unique jewelry to give as gifts. Sometimes I go in for something as simple as a watch battery repair, which is finished quickly. Brad, the owner, has completed several appraisals for me, always in a timely manner. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. I even realized a family friend from years ago works there, so it's always nice to see her when I stop in. Overall, I love supporting this local store as it fits any jewelry need I have--big or small. Whether you need a custom designed engagement ring, a classy gift, a repair, or anything in between, it's an excellent choice. read more

Great jewelry shop! They are very attentive and helpful. Had a necklace repaired there and they did a fabulous job for a great price. Good appraisal prices as well, and they don't give you a look when you ask to get your rings cleaned or to check the authenticity of a diamond. Very nice. Will be back. read more

My fiance got my engagement ring custom made by Brad Bass. I can't not express enough how unique and stunning it is!! Brad listened to our ideas and created a ring I will cherish for a life time. He was exceptionally professional and kept us up to date on the progress every week and was very timely. We shopped around and were given outrages prices to have a custom ring made by a jeweler we would never meet. After we came to Brad we were really in disbelief on how reasonable his prices were and he let us make payments during the process which worked perfectly for us. If you are looking to have a one of a kind piece of jewelry made, Brad Bass is known as one of the best in town for a reason!! read more
