Coffees pretty good but when I walked in they didn't have the best attitudes. They greeted us after an awkward silence of staring at us walk in. When I asked questions the girl at the counter gave short replies and didn't seem to really care. To get out of their hair I just went with something basic. Hubby and I stopped here the other day while we were on a day-long road trip. I was craving a frappuccino, but I could not decide between chocolate or caramel. There wasn't anything on the board showing that they had this combination, but when I asked the barista if they could make me one with both, she let me know that it was called a Milky Way. I got mine with almond milk and it was delightful! My hubby ordered a Chai Latte, which is his main go to. He enjoyed his, too. We will definitely return when we are in the area. read more

This place is super cute. Spacious and unlike World Cup, they take credit cards like the rest of the 21at century. Lots of tables for working or collaborating. FREE WiFi! The baristas were lovely. Passing through town & it was one of the few places that were open. Very happy with out drinks & the service! Ordered a cold blended mocha & that hit the spot! I didn't receive a milky blended weak 'Starbucks ' kiddie' drink. There was actually a bolder coffee taste to the beverage! Super!!!! (Starbucks absolutely lost my follow over the past 10 years.. I have visited your coffee shop many times before, and I have great service and have gotten my exact order. I really enjoy your coffees and so does my whole family. Usually, your staff is nice and friendly, however when I came in yesterday, the staff was not as friendly to me or my son. Also, yesterday I ordered a sugar free peppermint mocha, and very sure it was not sugar free because my blood sugar spiked way up after drinking the coffee. I am a diabetic therefore it is important that I get the drink I order. I have never had problem before with Java town or the staff, and I will come again, however I hope this never happens again because I will not come back for third round of bad service. Service here is terrible! The girl taking the Dorset's is rude . She messed up my order and when I went back in to have it corrected she was even more rude and still didn't do it right ! No apologizing for messing it up just tried to tell me wha rage thinks I ordered instead to justify her making it wrong . LOVED my iced dirty vanilla chai with cinnamon. I had never been here before to I had to check out the menu before ordering. I couldn't find one online either. I'd have taken one to post but the line was 5 cars long behind me. This place has great service and is very popular. Can't go inside yet, but the drive thru moves pretty quick. read more

The barista was kicking butt by herself covering for a sick coworker. She whipped out six drinks in less than 10 minutes. Seemed like a locals place one street back from the main thoroughfare. We had a tasty Cafe Au lait, Latte, and Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Also a Veggie breakfast burrito! I was skeptical about the burrito at first because it came in a paper wrapper but it was really good. Decently priced at $3.50. Great spot for locals and travelers like us. :). read more

We bought a blended drink and iced lattes. The blended drink tasted awful. I ordered the vanilla light blended coffee, but it tasted like it was a bunch of Splenda mixed with old coffee. The iced lattes we got had a weird after taste, the espresso shots they pulled were bitter and reminiscent of something you'd get from McDonald's or Burger King. The cost was high for a small coffee shop in a small town and for the quality of the final product and ingredients used. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Would have given this coffee shop a five star. Coffee is delicious! But the customer service not so great! The barista that helped my friends and I at the window lacked customer service. We had order 1 hot white mocha and 1 cold white mocha. She didn't hear us correctly and brought us 2 cold white mochas after telling her that it wasn't 2 but rather 1 and 1 her attitude completely changed and she started handing the rest of our order in an angry manner and in a sense threw my change at me it even fell on the ground so I had to get off and pick up my money. read more

I love the service here, Stephanie the owner is so sweet. It's on my way in to town so when I get coffee, I go here, they also sell Blind Dog Coffee (local from Reno) which we always get as well. There's no Starbucks along I-80 between Fernley and Elko. I like the local places anyway. This is one of two espresso places in Winnemucca. The other being Delizioso. This one is up the hill in a newer part of town so not as convenient for off and on the freeway. It's in a strip center and has a drive-thru. I just went in for a latte fix, second for the day. I've only been in there once. It was clean and they had decorated for the holidays. The Chai Latte I got was very good. They also have to computers set up so you can get on the internet. There are only 2 coffee shops in town and Java Town in definitely the BEST!! Great atmosphere, friendly baristas, and most of all, great coffees, teas and muffins! Great place to meet friends, hang out and even surf the internet on the computers they have set up. Been going there since they opened and will continue to recommend them to everyone! Only downside-wish they had longer hours-hubby goes to work at 3:15 am and would like to stop for a coffee and I leave a workout at 8:15 pm an would love a spiced chai on the way home!! read more
