Honestly my favorite parts are the vibes and the lemon blueberry cookie. Truly one of the best cookies I have had. If I lived in the area, I would work remotely here whenever possible. Such a great multipurpose center area.

The atmosphere of this cafe is lovely, always one to appreciate a good and versatile space. Staff came off as friendly at first. Ordered a large drink (chai, not sure if the mix comes premade with cinnamon but this is probably the most cinnamon heavy chai ive had, made my mouth feel strange) and an avocado toast (the Green Goddess one - absolutely fantastic and delicious). Tipped as well of course. I received my drink and saw that it seemed small so I asked the barista if the size was a large and she stated that the order said small so she made a small one. I know this was likely a misclick of a button but there was no solution brought up. Small vs large isnt a big deal but as someone who has worked as a barista for many years, I always try to correct something if a customer has any sort of issue. I wouldve been fine refunding the small and repaying for a large and for them to just add the small size and more ingredients into the larger cup. When my food was finished, it was brought out to the counter and put down a little aggressively. (not a full slam, but it wasnt placed down gently either). I really dont think any of this was intentional but it does make me feel unwelcome in the environment, and for such a nice space I wouldve liked a better service experience.

It was a Friday evening at work and I I decided to go out for a matcha drive. I found this place that had some matcha, coffee, bowl and pastries. There are more business inside along with the cafe. I would definitely come back to sit and read a book or write something.

Excellent place to relax with a light bite to eat or drink. Plenty of open seating, either tables, hi tops, or couches. Very wheelchair accessible

Dog policy

Brought my dog in because their yelp page says they allow dogs... the employee was so rude and condescending. My first experience here as I just relocated from NYC. I won't be back

The vanilla iced latte I had was very good. My son's iced matcha was also very good.the price was comparable with local coffee shops but the seating area and ambiance was much nicer.

Java & Brie was the absolute perfect spot for my girls brunch. It's located in the cutest building with a little boutique & wine shop attached. Breakfast is served all day and there was plenty to pick from between that and their lunch menu. The prices are very reasonable and the food was good! Between the decor and music we all wanted to stay all day. I cannot stress enough how cute the inside is! Highly recommend stopping by for a visit.

I stumbled across this cute establishment while looking for a coffee shop in the area. Location is great with ample parking. I was greeted by friendly staff eager to go over items available on the menu. They offer a selection of coffee, teas, and complimentary self serve infused water. The lunch special for the day was a grilled cheese panini with tomato soup. I opted out of the soup. Instead, I added a charcuterie board for one. The charcuterie boards are made to order with 3-4 meats to select from and a number of cheese options with fresh and dried fruits and nuts.. Not a fan of goat cheese but the blueberry goat cheese is an absolute must try. For sure took me by surprise. Such a cute quaint place, if you're in the area I'd for sure give it a try.

I've got praises for this cafe located at Fayetteville City Hall. I dropped in & met barista Fiona and Candis, the no-nonsense, busy manager who was training her. On this day, J & B's java was tasty, if lukewarm (but the 2nd cup was just GREAT), and a very wholesome sausage biscuit satisfied me to no end, along with what I think was a complementary grape jam. Java & Brie looks to still be coming together in an organizational sense but the manager just emanates positivity, with a work ethic that seems to carry onto others. Complete with live music often playing, a diverse selection of food & drink and an open atmosphere, I believe I've found a very solid hangout!

We tried three different pastries, and none were great. The cheese danish was the worst. It wasn't made on flaky pastry. It was like a thick, chewy slab of pizza crust with some cheese and jam on top. Literally, the texture and taste was exactly like a thick, stale pizza crust. So confusing. The chocolate macaron was hard as a rock. We went across the street to the bookstore after and got macarons that were delicate, soft, and melted in our mouths, and the difference was striking. The gf pop tart was the best of the three, but even that was doughy and falling apart so that's not saying a lot! Overall, for a bakery, I was really disappointed. Coffee is consistently good, but man. The pastries really fell short.

The space inside is modern chic and so inviting. They had TONS of pastry and sandwich options and I couldn't resist ordering a gluten free blondie. I ordered an iced matcha with almond milk and half pump of simple syrup. My husband just ordered an americano. It did take awhile to get our order-there were two other people ahead of us, but you could tell that everything was handcrafted. Everything we ordered was delicious! I found the Matcha a little too sweet for my liking even with half pump simple syrup. The blondie was divine. Service here was wonderful too.

The City Cafe & Bakery in Fayetteville seems to be a staple of the community. I visited twice now…read more&, both times, noticed groups of families and friends gathering happily to celebrate birthdays and special occasions ! Note for out-of-town visitors -- I think dining here is more about the aspect of communal dining than expectations for a truly 5-star meal, as I've found the food to be overall average. Especially for the price. The hostess is friendly and helpful. My waitresses have been attentive and kind. The service is good and consistent. The food menu is very limited in options for vegans & vegetarians. They serve beer, wine & spirits. There is a drink menu available upon request for beer, wine and spirits. There was a guitar player playing beautiful live music for the duration of my first visit (Feb 2026). During my most recent visit (8 April 2026), I ordered the Pecan Crusted grouper with red cabbage & seasonal veggies. The grouper was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside & topped with a strawberry mango fruit compote. Both the cabbage and veggies were overcooked which was disappointing bc I appreciate some good texture! The flavors were good though. So if completely softened veggies are your thing, I think you'd enjoy them. To drink, I ordered a mocktail that is new to the drink menu -- a Triple Citrus Paloma. It was refreshingly tart & garnished with a honey dipped Tajin rim! Shoutout to Lucinda for curating it. Additionally, my husband and I shared the salmon croquettes as an appetizers & I had the key lime tart to go. Neither was necessarily memorable (I completely forgot about them until prompted by Yelp to review this review) but I'd order the croquettes again! City Cafe & Bakery has a pretty vast selection of desserts! Cakes. Pies. Tarts. Petit fours. Cookies. Cannolis. Cheesecake. Eclairs. Mousse. Everything is baked in-house except the macarons. Be sure to ask about the promos. Wednesday & Thursday, purchase an adult entree get a free slice of cake or any 3" pastry. Wednesday thru Saturday, kids eat free from 3-8 pm. I also saw a flyer for their Mother's Day brunch buffet on Sunday, May 10th. It's from 11 am - 3 pm. $49 for Adults. $29 for Kids, under 12. Available for booking online.

Yes I have been there before and only give them 4 stars probably because their reputation was so big I needed to balance that... Totally in on 5 stars now. #1 Food -- been around FOREVER but still hear of people making it a point to support the locally owned business. Now they partner with the local brewery AWKWARD for Octoberfest and that has opened up new doors for them... and they celebrate on their patio all month long. The bakery is one of the best in the area. I was able to order sausage through them for a special party that they buy from a meat packer WAY on the other side of Atlanta. #2 Service -- the fact that they would work with me to add on to their meat order shows they care about the community and their customers. That they would partner with a small brewery to bring their Schnitzel and all the other things they make great that are traditional German dishes shows openness to collaborate and grow rather than compete. And they are very efficient in house to keep the table moving without feeling rushed, because there almost always is a wait at dinner. #3 Small dining area, but feels as comfortable as grandmas. Authentic 'bistro' decor. The bakery goods case is the showcase in the room... always calling out for desert or tomorrow's breakfast to take home with you.

The cute and engaging decor, very bright and colorful. I found a new favorite donut with their gluten-free red velvet. Moist and delicious Their signature dish of the egg on top of the hash browns was yum. Yum. The chunks of potatoes are crispy and the eggs were cooked just right. There was enough hash browns there that I saved some and cooked more eggs the next day at home Although my husband didn't like his scrambled eggs because he says they were as flat and not fluffy. And they were not very busy when we arrived and had additional staff come in as their peak hour approached around 9:00. The gal that was doing it all had to stop and make coffee and I think she rushed it a little bit because it wasn't hot and it was bitter... She gladly warmed it up for me and when she topped it off it wasn't as bitter

The seating, the staff, the food, the live pianist, the atmosphere, even the other guests -- everything worked together to create one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. And the food... I absolutely gorged myself on that buffet, with zero regrets. From the main selections to the dessert station -- which featured authentic bananas foster -- every single bite was incredible. The quality, the presentation, the flavor -- all of it was just out of this world. Honestly, part of me doesn't even want to write this review because I want to make sure I get a seat again next Christmas. But it would be a crime not to share how special this place is.
