One word -- Unprofessional…read more I'll leave the female agent unnamed (she knows who she is), but it wasn't Diana Cooper -- I'm hoping that she can educate her agents properly in the future. I called the office inquiring about obtaining additional life insurance, and wondered if I would be ineligible due to a medical condition years after securing my initial life insurance policy. I figured why not... it's for the family. I spent over an hour with the agent going through all the questions, some of which were redundant to the point I'm not sure she was really paying attention, but I went along since I figure she was just doing her job to be thorough. After the interview, I thanked her and she said she would get back to me the following week. More than a week passed, and I haven't heard anything from this agent. Keep in mind, I contacted two other life insurance providers for comparison quotes and options -- they both got back to me within a week. Unfortunately, I didn't qualify for an additional policy -- that's life. I even received official rejection notices in writing. Two weeks passed, and still haven't heard back from the agent. I finally called and ask her why she never followed up with me. Her response was that she spoke with an "expert" that determined I "probably" wouldn't qualify. Regardless, why wouldn't she contact me with those results? She didn't have an answer. I then requested that she get the result in writing for me -- she seemed unwilling, and placated me by saying she'll contact me the following week on a specific day with answers. This never happened. Either there was no commission for her, or she just doesn't take pride in her job. I didn't want to waste any more time chasing her down to only be let down again. It's not her fault I'm not a viable life insurance client, but she certainly took no accountability for her actions nor acted in a professional manner that would benefit the Farmers Insurance brand and its clients.
