having only gone here for accupuncture i wanted to update regarding other services. unsurprisingly…read moredr. tran extends excellent care in this regard as well. my cane was experiencing an ear infection for the first time ever and she took the time to not only gently clean his ears out completely and slowly, so i could see the process and repeat it at home myself. she prescribed an easy to use ear med and then also recommended an ear wash, giving me the option of looking it up online in case i wanted to see if i could get it cheaper or purchase it with the prescribed med at the clinic. because the care and prices are so exceptional, i opted to purchase it there, feeling confident there really wasn't a need to look online. after checking out, she came back out to the waiting area and went over the med with me slowly and even gave him his first application there in the lobby so i could feel comfortable doing it at home myself. she said he should feel relief in about 5 days but he had completely stopped shaking his head and scratching within under 2 days. with his arthritis primarily in his hips i could tell it was really uncomfortable for him to reach around and up to try and scratch using his hind legs, so the relief we all had knowing he wasn't irritated anymore was so invaluable. tacking on another treatment like the extensive ear cleaning during his accupuncture session could have easily and understandably been an additional charge but i was only charged for the meds and his accupuncture and given the care and peace of mind we have come to cherish from this place. we are so lucky to have dr. tran and anyone can and will feel comfortable and cared for here!

There are places that provide care... and then there are places that embody devotion. 9 Tails…read moreVeterinary Clinic belongs to the latter. Dr. Tran and her remarkable team practice veterinary medicine with a rare balance of science, compassion, and grace. From the moment you walk through their doors, it becomes clear that this is not simply a clinic; it is a sanctuary for the animals entrusted to their care. Our beloved Xoloitzcuintli puppies, Hurakàn Relámpago and Tormenta were treated with such tenderness and respect that it left a lasting impression on us. Anyone familiar with the unique nature of Xolos knows how special and sensitive they are, and Dr. Tran understood that immediately. She handled them with patience, gentleness, and a deep attentiveness that made us feel completely at ease. Dr. Tran possesses that extraordinary combination of clinical mastery and genuine warmth. She listens carefully, explains thoughtfully, and approaches every patient with patience and respect. Her presence is calm, confident, and deeply reassuring qualities every pet parent hopes to find in someone caring for their companions. What truly sets this clinic apart, however, is the culture the entire team has created. Every member of the staff treats each animal with kindness and dignity, as if they were caring for their own. In a world where veterinary care can sometimes feel rushed or transactional, Dr. Tran and her team remind us what true stewardship looks like: attentive, ethical, and profoundly compassionate. For our Xoloitzcuinttli puppies Hurakàn Relámpago and Tormenta there could not have been better hands. We are deeply grateful.

The transition to the Animal Hospital side was seamless, and the communication provided by the vet team while we were traveling was excellent. The Vets and staff have always been courteous and professional, and although they recommend various items, they do not pressure you to go with any specific treatments/products. You just have to be able to say no and not feel bad about it, they won't make you feel bad about saying no either, at least not in my experience. Facility is clean and they always understood our apprehension about not being able to set the pup down until all of his vaccinations were complete, and ensured us they had the room and area cleaned before we could set him down, which was a huge relief. Our puppy always seemed to be excited to see their technicians and vets, so to me, that's a good sign. We have not yet had the chance to check out the pet hotel/resort as our pup is not neutered yet, which is one of the requirements, so that's still TBD.

It has been a very difficult time for my cat Bastu…read more However, I have found the facility to be very nice, and Bastu received prompt assistance for her problems! First, she was hospitalized for 24 hours. While there are still some things that I am trying to understand, the IV support made a big difference in her health. My understanding is that this is very important for cats with pancreatis. After going some time without eating, I could tell that she felt better after each treatment with fluids. I have not yet had a follow-up visit with my local vet to check Bastu's PrecisionPSL values. However, from two follow-up visits to CAEC, I can say that Bastu's SDMA values have returned to normal (after she was prescribed felimazole, and successful delivery of that medication for 3 days lead to more severe problems). The spike in BUN values from 21 (before felimazole) to 72 (after felimazole, and then decreased diet to the point of not eating any food) was reversed to 13 after treatment at CAEC (a little below normal, instead of very high above normal). While I am looking into more details (such as waiting to see if my Bastu is capable of returning to normal health) before following the procedures on the FDA website (https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/report-problem/how-report-animal-drug-and-device-side-effects-and-product-problems), my understanding is that my cat has a pre-existing kidney problem. The elevated T4 levels (used to define a diagnosis for hyperthydroidism) represented the body's defense for those kidney problems - high T4 can cause problems in itself, but the underlying kidney problems can also cause additional problems. Thank you very much - while improvement has been slow, Bastu and I certainly appreciate the help within the last week!
