Our family will always be deeply grateful to Elliot Hospital for the care they provided my…read moregrandmother. We first brought her to Elliot in November 2024 when she was declining at home. Both of my parents had passed away, her only other child is handicapped, and I live out of state. She was confused, unsafe to live alone, and needed help. After a very distressing experience at another local hospital, I brought her to Elliot and stayed with her overnight in the emergency room for about eight hours. While the wait was long, once we were seen, the care we received made all the difference. The medical team was compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable. They identified severely high blood pressure, six compression fractures, and determined she was no longer able to make her own medical decisions. With the incredible help of social work, case management, doctors, and nursing staff, we were able to safely place her in a local facility where she was happy and well cared for over the next year. She had a few additional visits to Elliot during that time, all of which were positive experiences. In December 2025, after she suffered a stroke, she was brought back to Elliot and passed away peacefully on the 6th floor. The care she received in her final days was compassionate, dignified, and comforting to our family. We are incredibly thankful for the role Elliot Hospital played in my grandmother's life. The kindness, respect, and humanity shown to her during her most vulnerable moments will never be forgotten.

We called AGAIN and for 25 minutes had to listen to how important we were. REALLY ! This was is second call of the day. The first time he called at 11:45 and got a answering service that said they were at lunch. She also said their lunch was from 12 to 1. Finally , while my husband was still on hold I tried calling on my phone and was answered in 7 minutes. So much for answering calls in the order received. When he ask the girl about it all she could say was I have no idea. Well, I have no idea why we are still dealing with Queen City Medical ! Not for long. This was not a one time thing . It happens every time we call.

I received an email from the nurse stating that I could come in early to complete my lab work before my 8:00 a.m. appointment. I woke up very early and drove in to have the labs done, only to find that the lab orders had not been released, even though the office was open. This resulted in a wasted trip and unnecessary delay. Once I finally completed the labs, I called the office to inform them that I would be running late and asked whether I should still come in for my appointment. I was told that it was fine and that I should still come. While I was only three minutes away, I received a call saying my appointment would need to be rescheduled, with the explanation that the person I spoke to had not communicated with the secretary. That is an internal office issue and should not have been made my responsibility. On top of this, the secretary was rude and dismissive, speaking to me as though I were at fault--despite the fact that I followed the instructions given to me by their staff. As a result, I wasted two trips, drove a long distance, and was not feeling well throughout this process. Overall, Dartmouth has been the worst hospital I've dealt with in terms of appointment scheduling, communication, and follow-up. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially the Bedford office.

Dartmouth Hitchcock, a provider in my network who I have seen for 15 years, charged me over $400…read morefor a yearly preventative visit by scheduling me with a midwife instead of a licensed OBGYN. My insurance denied me. I didn't know I was seeing a midwife, nor was I warned that I could be charged for this provider. Dartmouth Hitchcock showed me no sympathy and told me to always check to see if the doctor is covered in the future. Just outrageous. Ladies, beware.

When finally saw the Dr. Doctor had person in training. She spent most of the time talking with training person. At the the end when she did talk to me, offered no plan to address the shoulder issue. I did receive a shot for pain and told to go to to PT for the fourth time( insurance merry go round). Left with no answers and stunned how lil she seemed to be engaged. Told family and neighbors never go there. Treated like crap from beginning to end. Doctors don't seem to really care to help, period. Seemed like I was a nuisance to them. Just terrible operation, from appointments to actual doctor care(or lack there of).
