I am updating my review as I think she is a wonderful and very knowledgeable pediatrician; I just had an extremely difficult time reaching her a few months ago when my child was pretty ill and missed 2 weeks of school. She did call me back, but I got rude to the answering service; I was pretty stressed. I was impressed with her office design and they way they conducted check in care with the medical asst. However, we have only seen her once in 1 year, I called back asking for another appt. , and feeling like there should have been a lot more communication. read more

BEWARE OF RAMOS! I took my daughter to get 2 specific vaccinations: TDap and chicken pox for this school year. She end up giving her the TDap and MENINGITIS instead of chicken pox! As she said her self it was her NEGLIGENCE. This office and the doctor threatens the life's of our children! She put my daughter's life at risk! It is shocking this women see patients daily! The actually doctor is sweet and amazing, it's the office staff that seems incompetent and inconsiderate. I understand there are precautions for covid, but they didn't even give us a reminder call for appointment or let us know that we should reschedule if the kids had a cold. Anyway, I showed up and they would not see us. Have they not been trained in costumer service? We also called back to tell them how this was not okay, and they said those are courtesy calls, they aren't doing them because they are swamped. I got there and they weren't swamped at all. Don't they know best business practices? I have to say, after 4 years of experiencing the office staff, we are done. They have been rude since day 1. Checked with our insurance to verify that the doctor was covered and then when I showed up for the appointment the ladies told me that they didn't take our insurance and that it would be a lot more out-of-pocket I was trying to explain that it wasn't insurance specifically tied to our employers contracts but it was a standard Blue Cross PPO so we should just have the standard in l network deductible. Dr. Ramos is an amazing doctor (and just a very kind person). Our oldest daughter (now an adult) was seen by Dr. Ramos her entire childhood (with the exception of the first few months of life when we had bad experiences with 2 other pediatricians that misdiagnosed her). She is caring, thorough and listens, is very helpful and has called personally to follow up when our daughter was ill. Our 2 year old is now a patient and although I do agree with some of the reviews that the office staff can use some positive improvement more so with their friendliness, follow up and just overall welcoming the families that come through there, I have not had any bad experiences with them, they have always been helpful in answering questions, informative and have tried to be accommodating, it's their approach I think that people have the complaints about because it can come across a bit rude, but in dealing with them for so many years (yes most of them have been there for YEARS!) they provide the service required. There is not another pediatrician in the valley I would take my children to that I would trust the way I do with Dr. Ramos, she is for sure a 5 star pediatrician. read more

I'm changing pediatricians. This place has an absolute wretched front office staff (Did Anna just yell at me? Sure did!), an unorganized back end (Why can they never correct my sons' birthdays?! Why are my sons' medical files mixed up?!) and billing is a joke. Went in for preventative care appointments and was told by the front office there weren't any co-pays for annual exams. Next thing I know, my mailbox is constantly receiving bills. Know to be prepared to pay additional co-pays at a single appointment for other questions that may arise if the staff finds it to be unrelated to the original appointment. My family moved to this area and we went to this doctor's office for the first time today. The have 3 health care provider so you may not even see the doctor which is fine but I would like for 1 provider to see my child for at least the well care visits. The NP Stacey was pleasant and professional. As a RN, I am concerned and disappointed that I did not see the medical assistants wash there hands or use gloves before giving shots or performing finger sticks! Ever heard of standard precautions? Dr. Ramos' office is great! My son has been to the the office 4 times now. Each time I am not waiting 5 minutes past my scheduled appointment to be pulled to the back exam rooms. As many parents know Dr offices aren't toddlers favorite places to visit. Each time the staff has attempted to ease my son while crying or resisting their routine evaluations. Dr. Ramos always enters the exam room with a smile that is contagious! She has greeted my wife and I, and directs her attention to my son. She is t isn't a rush to conduct her exams, and takes time to play around with my son to gain his trust. I've been to other offices where the Dr just tried to knock out patients and don't care if my son of apprehensive. I truly believe Dr Ramos cares and it shows! I am at ease that I've found my sons Dr! Give her a shot, I don't think she'll let you down! Thank you Dr Ramos for your professionalism in all areas of your office. Dr Ramos is very nice person, is her stuff that makes you feel like you don't want to come anymore. They are very rude, appointments are very hard to schedule, specially with the front desk girls always being so rude and careless. I personally don't recommend this clinic. I honestly love this office!! Dr. Ramos is SO knowledgeable and helpful- and even called me to check up on my son when he was really sick! The wait time is usually pretty long in my experience- but it's well worth it!! As for the staff- I've read the reviews about them being rude... I had a couple instances when I was new to the office where I felt like the front desk staff was a little .... "cold" with me- but upon getting to know them better theyre honestly so helpful and kind! So happy to have this office! read more

As a new father of twins and as someone whom works in the healthcare industry, I have high expectations for our healthcare providers. Our family has been very pleased with Dr Ramos and her staff. Dr Ramos is caring and thurough and offers clear recomendations for the health and care of our children. The staff are responsive and when we've called with concerns they are quick to respond and address our needs, even if that means just calming our nerves. In deciding on a pediatrician we did read reviews that mentioned the possible delays some people experienced at this clinic. As a precaution, we always book the first appointment in the morning and have the paperwork completed prior to arriving and or we arrrive early to complete it. We have yet to not be seen on time so our experience has been great! Just like in any practice, often times the reason providers run behind is because patients run behind. Also, knowing that Dr Ramos will not rush our appointment so as to meet strict goals for her schedule is somthing we appreicate. We would recomend Dr Ramos for other parents and their children. Dr Jasmine Ramos has been my family's pediatrician for many years and she is great! However can not say the same about her front desk team. The person that answered the phone put me on hold for 3.50 minutes, when you are on hold without any music it seems an eternity. When she finally came back on the line , she was in a rush to get me off the phone . She was unhelpful and very missed informed in regards getting services without an appointment . STEER CLEAR PEOPLE. This pediatric office is a joke. I have never met more uneducated, inept, bunch of UNprofessionals in a medical office. Outrageous. Staff here are so rude. They hang up on you/lose calls, don't return calls, don't give messages to doctor, close the office early and send calls to answering service before closing time. They don't care PERIOD. I've observed staff bringing their children to work acting a mess in the back/break room. Staff has not a clue what they are doing. No hand washing, no glove wearing. Gross. They are not good with kids and don't explain what they are doing so the kids won't be so scared. I came in for a physical with the doc and waited 2+ hours. I was thrown into a exam room and left to die. No updates from staff explaining doc was severely behind, no nothing. To take it to the next level, in walks in a lousy nurse practitioner. WTF! My appt was with the DOCTOR not a nurse. My child requires a higher level of care due to complex medical issues. I asked where Dr Ramos was and was told she took off. UMMMMMM.....ok?!? I drove a long ways from the OC for this appointment. So pissed off. So-called medical assistant did nothing for this physical - no height, no weight, no head circumference - nothing. A complete waste of money and time. Absolutely cannot take this office seriously at all. They don't give a damn if your child runs out of their life saving meds they need. I'm done here. Dr. Ramos has been my pediatrician for my two boys for about 6 years and she is wonderful. However, her entire nursing staff and front desk are completely unprofessional and rude. I have never written a yelp review to complain but, this has gone on for so long I am considering leaving her practice because it's completely uncalled for. And just wish to warn any others who are looking for a good pediatrician that her staff makes it not worth it. I have numerous friends who have already left her office for the same reason. We like Dr. Ramos & this is why we have continued to go back. However, EVERY single time we book an appointment we are not called back from the waiting room to the examination room for at LEAST an hour. This office really needs to work on customer satisfaction. The girls working the front desk aren't friendly & look like they hate their jobs. We have been 3 times & it's like this every single time. Once in the examination room you will not see Dr. Ramos for at least another 15-30 mins. I find this delay highly frustrating & unprofessional. Today was my daughter's 4 month checkup. My wife confirmed on the phone earlier in the week that all was good with our insurance. We assumed it was as this was our 3rd trip & the same insurance has been used every visit. My wife checks in at 8:55 for our 9:00am appointment. Around 9:15, we hear another family ask when they will be seen as their appointment was at 8:30 & had been waiting for 45 minutes. I think to myself "this is how this place is, slooooowwww." At 9:45, the front desk employee calls my wife over to the window & says they cannot see us bc the name of the Primary care Physician isn't listed as Dr. Ramos on our card. WE SAT FOR 45 MINUTES WAITING FOR OUR APPOINTMENT AFTER THEY HAD VERIFIED EVERYTHING WAS ALL GOOD. My wife asked if there was someone she could call. The woman said no & it would take 2 days for the insurance policy issue to be updated. They would not see us. I am giving a 2 star review bc we do like Dr. Ramos very much. Right of the bat I heard the office staff make derogatory comments about Me and other patients waiting in the office (both in English and Spanish)--I'm fluent in both; comments that were made by office staff have no place in a professional setting. Secondly, one of the office secretaries, either through sheer laziness or lack of understanding of Medical billing, refused to assist me or provide any suggestions to resolve my issue. Darleen at Dr. Ramos' office is rude. Dr. does not have hospital privleges at any of the local 3 hospitals. Asked to book a newborn appointment for a planned C-section, my husband is a CPA and it's tax season, and the girl refused...to make an appointment. We are a week out from delivery. I've used the doctor for a year for my other 2 daughters but, when my 2 year old had fevers over 105 doctor couldn't admit us to the hospital or attend to us in the hospital. I have called six times, one being right now, and have been put on hold for over 10 minutes at a time. No one comes back to the line. And when I've hung up and called back, no answer. Seriously? I really don't understand how anyone would be able to rate this place more than 1 star. This place is worth NO STARS. I called today to prepare the staff to get my son's wic referral sheet ready. Mind you, I took a very early lunch at 11:15 to get this taken care of since apparently they take lunch between 12-1:30 even though no one answers the phones until about 1:50. Anyway, I decided to call to let them know I was on my way since the last time I did this, it wasn't even filled out let alone they couldn't even find the form I had given them. I called as soon as I got in my car. The woman puts me on hold. Ok then, not a big surprise since they ALWAYS do this and based off of others Yelp reviews, I'm not the only one. I was on hold for 10 minutes. So I hung up and called back. Again, they ask me to hold. I said "yes even though I was just put on hold for 10 minutes." She tells me to hold on. On hold again for another 6 minutes. I think "wow they must be super busy especially after a holiday weekend." I attempted to somewhat give the benefit of the doubt since I work in customer service/ an office job and I know how stressful it can be. I end up hanging up since I'm down the street from the office. I pull up, a moderate amount of cars outside. I walked in to an almost completely empty waiting room with the exception of a little girl playing in the play room. I was not acknowledged by the staff; 2 inconsiderate women who continued chatting amongst themselves while one of them sat her daughter on her lap. Must have been bring your kids to work day *extreme sarcasm.* Finally, I'm acknowledged. She said "hello, can I help you?" I said I just called in right now and you guys had me on hold for over 10 minutes but I don't see any patients in here." She just glances down as if she had no idea what to say. No explanation, no apology whatsoever and again asks if I needed help. Went in there and got what I needed to get. Got on the phone with IEHP and started a grievance claim against this office. Do yourself a favor and please stay away from this place if you care about your kids because they sure as hell don't. My son has never even been seen by Dr. Ramos, only by a nurse practitioner. Oh and to the skinny hispanic lady who sits at the front of the office at the desk on the right, never have I ever walked in there and saw you be in a decent, somewhat courteous mood.
