The products are excellent and you can't beat the prices. The bud tenders are friendly and knowledgeable. There are so many things that I can list on the PRO side of shopping here. The reason that I grade this establishment 4 stars instead of 5 are listed under the CON side of shopping at Jars, which are correctable. First, finding a place to park is challenging. As much money as this place makes, expanding the parking lot is definitely a goal reachable by Jars. Next, they can use the LED TVs to show the weekly specials, products on sale and vendor ads. This could possibly put a dent in the wait times. Another way to eliminate wait times, which in my opinion is a no brainer, is to move the ATM machine in the lobby. I will continue to shop here. Overall, the place is great. It could be excellent though. read more

Disappointed in the new building this store is in and a few of the new employees. Ordered pick up day before but had to wait 25 minutes while it was put together while I waited. My full name was announced twice in the store over the intercom. Prices are going up and this store is farther than I need to travel. I was employed at Jars Saugatuck, through Detroit Body Guard. I was hired as an armed security guard to protect the work force, and keep them safe. To do this, I was to keep all knives and weapons out of the facilities. Sometimes this meant interaction with customers but it was not always necessary. If people did not know the normal procedure of walking past my observation desk, to the counter and asked me if they needed to see me, I told them that I only needed to see the if the had weapons, guns or knives, regardless of any classification of people. (this is my safety too!! I look at all people!) In my 4 months of perfect and punctual work attendance and and no customer complaints, I prevented over 100 knives and 2 guns from entering. On Tuesday, Marcy 25th, near end of shift, a m/f couple came in and the woman stopped at my desk, saying they didn't know where go, and attempted to hand me her ID. I told them, that I didn't need that and only needed to talk to them if they had knives or weapons on them. She said what? I asked, if they had any weapons on them. They said no, I smiled and told them to go to the counter and they did. ( the male had loose fitting over shirt} The receptionist told them to take a seat in the lobby, they did. 2 more customers walked in the door and past me to the counter. They had tight slacks on and no baggy concealing over shirts. I glanced at them and assessed that there was no wear to conceal a weapon and did not engage. At this, the prior couple jumped up, the woman was very loud, accusing me of being a racist. I attempted to talk to them outside to explain the circumstances, the woman swore at me, called me a racist again. I told them to have a nice night and returned to my post. the the person working the desk and the customers were baffled by the lady's conduct and the incident was over. The following morning, Brandy (the lead manager} approached my desk and starting raising her voice to me in front of employees and customers. She told me that the upset lady from the day before had called her to complain and that corporate had told her they couldn't have that on their reviews. She never gave me a chance to explain what happened. I told her that I didn't want to argue with her and she screamed louder at me, that I was arguing. She kept up her verbal assault against me, so I raised my hand, and told here that I was not continuing the conversation like that and exited the door to escape the conflict.. I reported the incident to Josh and he said..."I got you". No more was said that day. I reported to work the following day as usual. Another security guard showed up and told me that I had been banned from all Jars locations. Nobody from Jars or Detroit Body Guard ever in formed me of this. I guess I should have expected that from a security company with a rating of 2, and knowingly using the US Army clothing and emblems for uniforms to give them some sense of false validation. I should have expected this from Brandy , who allow actions and conversations that constitute sexual harassment. The same Brandy who did nothing to the employee that called the music "nigger" music. I have no intention of tolerating the Verbal assault, age discriminations, slander of my good name, and defamation of character. The employees that work there are amazing, The other managers are much more capable. Its sad that 1 bad apple can destroy so much before someone steps in to right the ship. read more

Not a whole lot of parking so I used an empty "drive up order" spot since they were an out the only open spots. Instead of allowing me to use the spot to patronize the store, they asked me to move. So I moved down the street to Green Koi. How stupid do you have to be to prefer an empty parking spot to a paying customer? I've been to this dispensary a couple of times now, and normally the experience has been great. However, I'm writing this review due to my most recent visit. I submitted an online order about an hour prior to arrival for a handful of items. When I arrived, the front desk had me wait to the side to be called in the back soon. After a short wait, they sent me back and asked the next available bud tender to take care of me. One detail to note is that we're already past the pickup window I entered online. The reason I mention this is because the bud tender seemed extremely annoyed that they had to fill the online order and made a comment that I should wait until I get a text that my order is ready. I'm not going to name names this time, but man, it was like a dark cloud hung over this person the whole time. Uhh, ok? I checked in at the front desk and they saw my online order and decided to send me back when they did. It's not my problem the order wasn't ready to go at that point. I didn't ask to be sent back early. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but their attitude and demeanor really put me off. Usually the bud tenders are friendly and willing to answer questions. I ordered buds and ended up getting a lot of shake. They seemed to notice this while weighing it out and still used it. It was also kind of annoying that one of the items I ordered was gone, but the web site said it was available. Not super helpful in choosing an alternate that was the same price, etc. The process was also very slowwww this time, 30+ mins for a few things. Overall it's a good dispensary, willing to write this off as an anomaly. read more

We bought an eight of forbidden runtz online preorder today. When we got home it was 80% shake with the rest being some of the smallest bud scraps I've seen. It was not advertised or priced as shake. One of the most unprofessional experiences I've had anywhere. The security guards are aggressive and highly unprofessional, with one chatting it up with the female manager about all the ways in which a grumpy customer who had just left would be dealt with should he come back and be grumpy with the guard, loudly in front of everyone waiting in the lobby. Earlier, the female manager appeared from the back and then loudly exclaimed "who's ready to smoke some fucking weed?!?!?". This place is right off the highway, and insanely busy. Parking sucks too. We ended up leaving after waiting for a while and witnessing how unprofessional they were, and then visited a different dispensary in Traverse City that was just as cheap, but a night and day difference in professionalism and overall chill. Just keep heading down the highway, there are plenty of other dispensaries. read more

The first couple of bud tenders were super short and not friendly and almost made me feel rushed. The third guy was super nice and friendly and let me take my time and helped me out. The budtender I dealt with was EXTREMELY aggressive and antisocial, he seemed annoyed that I was even there to begin with. This dispensary is normally great and I come here often, and the budtenders are usually always very helpful and kind. But the guy who handled my purchase was NOT at all this way. As I was leaving I also noticed he was harassing and being incredibly rude to a few of the female budtenders there as well, even calling one of them a "slut" and a "bitch." I don't know if he was just having a bad day or if he's been watching a little bit too much Andrew Tate, but this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

Excessive security with VERY slow service. The deals are good, if only you could actually get to a counter before the online orderers.

I placed an online order around 7:40. The wait time was around 60 minutes. (Which is a little unreasonable in the first place.) After over an hour of placing the order I got no update text. I went over around 8:50 since the place was about to close. When i got there my order was still not prepared. I waited until 9:45 to get the stuff I ordered. What is the point of placing an online order if you have to wait double the time? Terrible business. read more
