Ask the Community - Janus Hudson

How much do 30 minute and 1 hour massages cost

I’ve been in practice for 45 years and I charge $80 an hour and $45 for a half; I tailor my prices to the community in which I live.

I will tell you right now, they are liars. Promised me this and that, promised this pricing and did…read morenot honor anything they stated! We had an evaluation with them, the girl who gave the reviews was super rude, condescending and argumentative towards myself. Then she has the audacity to talk about this joint making profits. She claims she does not care on how much they make and idiotic babble like this. Clearly the evaluation was set in place to nickel and dime my father to death. The exact thing I was telling them I was aware of. In-fact I am aware of all their tactics. Before they even called me back I was not going with this place as I knew they would come back with 2-3 times more than they promised would be the cost. I was quoted $2195 for a shared room and that he could use a loft room until one comes available at this cost. No add on's would be needed as I would help him when I visit. When they called me back, they almost tripled the cost to $5,600 a month and said I could not help him or do anything for him. In-fact they asked my why I wanted to come so much to visit (daily), I told them, this is my freakin father, I can come visit any damn well time I want to and do for him anything I choose. That was another red flag for me. What the hell do you mean I cannot come in daily and help him if needed or give him his meds so he does not have to do it, or shower him because he is more comfortable with me. Screw you! Liars and thieves! I would not recommend this place obviously and I absolutely would not want anyone else family around these liars and more specifically the 'nurse' who did our evaluation! Rude, non-personable, no sense of humor, clueless, condescending snot! Mainly they lost my business because of her and the extreme jump in cost, they can go fly a kite! F- OFF!

Based on about 12 month of dealing with this company I am not impressed. Some of the nurses and…read moreCNA's do care but the upper management and social worker associated with this location are only about feeding the companies bank account. They accused me of 3-4 allegations which they had no real proof of and APS also saw nothing of these allegations. They are extremely unprofessional and unethical. They put me in a situation that was unwarranted. The Social worker is ignorant, rude and accusatory, accusing me of exploiting my father for his money! Please! Again APS DID NOT FIND ANY Fault in my care of my father. In-fact APS told me she did not see that at all, when someone is exploiting it's real easy to see. The Admin (Kim) and Social worker (Jeanine) would come to my home for a "meeting" and try to bully me. This happened 2-3 times. The main motif was to place my dad in a home. Of course that would benefit them and the home they are associated with. The social worker always was nosey as hell, asking how much my dad brought in. This is NOT what she is suppose to be asking me, that is the job of investigating APS officer if they are involved, not this social worker!!! Don't ever give out that info to any social worker, it is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!! I gave out fake numbers every time to screw with her! When in my home, these two bullies but mainly the social worker were rude as hell and especially rude to my wife which I do not appreciate. She has a very bad attitude & personality. They were not welcome again in our home. I have had several conversation with Kim on the phone about things that happened, she was extremely unprofessional and accusatory without evidence to back it up. She then started a trend of accusing me of "intimidating" her. She was just unable to handle my firm communication. She back peddled on everything she accused me of. APS also agreed she and the social worker were wrong in what they did. Wasted time! The social worker in our opinion saw our house, where we lived, thought we were way too young to own such a house (yet I am 43 and run my own business for over 20 years and bought this house 6 years ago) and assumed we were exploiting my father. Pure ignorance that promoted all the issues with this outfit. Both need to find a new profession, they are both absolutely horrible at what they do. As far as the nurses, Too many patients to really care that much. My first nurse was ok except towards the end then she got rude with me over something that I said that she said and was miscommunicated by someone else. I found it unprofessional to even bring this up to me (the customer/client). Coming at me for something that was miscommunicated by someone else is bad! The wound nurse is amazing (only one I liked), she actually cares!! She was extremely sweet to my dad and careful with him. We almost got his wounds healed. Almost! She's fantastic. Let's also talk about communication and organization or lack there of. HORRIBLE. I get 2 CNA's calling to come see my dad in the same day, I have to deal with telling them both no or one to come and the other not. I twas like this for the whole time. Yes I changed things due to preference and ease with a CNA but how hard is it? It was annoying. All of it was. They state the CNA's are there to relieve me yet they always called me back to help, so whats the point? I found the CNA thing extremely annoying, so I eventually cancelled it. Yet they still called me. Scheduling respite with the social worker was like pulling teeth. I felt it was like she thought I had never done it before with her. She has to constantly tell me like a child how it works and I had to constantly repeat to her, I know how it works. I GOT IT THE FIRST TIME WE DID IT YOU DOLT. I mean seriously, I have a f-ing Master's degree, I am capable of understanding how the respite works. Be careful though, Winslow Campus of Care where they sent my dad, they also neglected my dad a few times as with most any nurse home and elderly care will. I highly recommend VIsta Hospice, it's non-profit. This hospice is all for profit and it shows in everything they do. Everything. I only thank the wound nurse here ONLY. The others I am not impressed with at all. They made my care for my father more difficult. I wanted to switch hopsice's after APS closed my case with nothing found but my father did not have much time from there. Also: No follow through after. I asked them not to call me at all to give me condolences because I did not want any from them. BUT, I had to call 3 times to get the bed, oxygen and so forth removed. 3 weeks later a stupid condolences card from these jerks, not even signed by anyone or even any words about my father!!! So LAME AND PATHETIC!!!!!!!

Rating based on prior exposure to hospices and what is possible with hospice. Had I not had…read moreexperience with other places I would give a 3 star rating. What was good: the nurse we had during the actual end of life was helpful, respectful, non-intrusive yet supportive. The social worker was very helpful. The not so good: our regular nurse seemed to have a script...said the same things each visit. Asked the same questions even though some clearly did not apply. After death there has been no follow up, no on-going support, no follow up survey. There is a support group available, if I recall correctly. But I din't recall the particulars and never got any printed info about that. The completely absent: there was no care plan in the home. All records are on paper, so communication amongst the team seemed challenged. When I asked pointed questions I got vague answers that were not helpful (exception was the nurse that was on call for the actual death). I would recommend the other hospice here in town.
