Every now and then my neck gets locked up and pain shoots from the side of my back into my neck and makes me have to hold my head to one side. When this happens I have to call out of work because of it. I searched around and found Matt. He was very knowledgable and explained the exact muscles that were being effected. At the end of the session he explained stretches and exercises that would prevent and alleviate pain in those precise areas. After my weekend I was back to work like I never had pain. It was amazing. I never write reviews but my session with Matt was one of a kind. I have had many massages in my lifetime. I am a 40 year old athlete with many old and new injuries. Typically I prefer a female but my girl friend swore by Matt so I gave him a go. I require deep tissue. I was comfortable upon meeting him and just as comfortable on his table. I was a massage therapist for 7 years so yes, I am a little judgmental on pressure and how well one knows their anatomy. He was keen on both. I did not tell him about any of my injuries ( even though he asked) because I think a really good massage therapist figures all of that out while working on you. He definitely did some deep tissue....naturally eased up around my injuries and then went as deep as he felt necessary. His massage was well rounded, paying every bit of attention to every inch of my body. And he is a superstar on the feet, back and neck. BTW, he is way stronger than the slender body you see ! After receiving massage for 15 years Matt is one of my top 3 best massages ( my other 2 were in other countries).Thanks Matt! My body and I will be back soon! read more

I am so grateful to Matthew! I had a shoulder lock up on me for over three weeks which was affecting my breathing and throwing my whole back out. Matthew was recommended by several friends. He fit me in the next day as I was in such pain and the best part was he came to my house. His work on me was deep to get to the underlying cause - which another massage therapist and a chiropractor had not been able to get to. I opted for a 90 minute massage because I knew my body needed it and also because his prices allowed me to afford to. Not only is Matthew skilled in the physiology of the body, he also appears to be very intuitive and his hands seemed to find just the right spots I needed to "trigger" to release. I found myself able to relax and allow my shoulder to let go under his care. The reason I am so grateful is today I am FINALLY able to take a deep breath and move that side of my body again.
