Using a deep tissue massage-like therapy called active release technique, he worked through tight affected areas breaking down adhesions. This part of the visit lasted about thirty minutes, at which time I was seen by a PT (after having consulted with Jason) who customized an exercise program to help me re-build strength, improve range-of-motion, etc. We went through a series of exercises, always adjusting for proper form. (After the visit the office sends an email with the exercises in short video format to help you remember). Each visit built on the previous exercises. In total, I had about 6-8 visits. Elevate consists of a team of knowledgeable and caring professionals, in a space that is warm and inviting. I have been to other PT offices in the past that have been adequate and satisfactory. Elevate is co-ordinated and streamlined and made for a seamless experience, leading to, in my case, a speedy recovery. I highly recommend.

Dr. Jansen has never rushed through an appointment and always reviews everything we have discussed at the end to make sure it's all being addressed. When he's had to refer me out to specialists, they have always been extremely solid recommendations. And Ashley, his medical assistant, is wonderful, also. When I have called to ask a question or sort something out about prescriptions, she always responds promptly and takes care of whatever the issue is. This is so appreciated! Front desk staff are also very courteous and helpful. They have gone above and beyond when I really felt like I needed to get in to see someone but did not have an appointment. Swedish Ballard e.r. diagnosed some (but not all) of the breaks and had me follow up with dr ruhlman. getting an appointment was easy and they got me in very quickly. for my first visit I chose the Wallingford location, which is very easy to find and access. i arrived approx 10 mins before my appt time, was checked in right away, and was brought back before my official appt time even began! the nurses were friendly and made me feel very comfortable. once i was in the room and all of my vitals were taken, i waited maybe 5 mins for dr ruhlman to see me. he's nice, thorough, has amazing credentials, and found another broken bone that the e.r. had missed and since it was the one causing me the most pain, I almost started crying with relief. he laid out my plan for healing and gave me realistic expectations. the next follow up was in the ballard office and everything there was also smoothe. my only complaint is that sometimes when i've called with a question, i got into a looiiing wait on hold before talking with a human.

Dr. Wagner is great with diagnosis and has a calming bedside. In terms of stem cell treatment, I had my left hip done and while it took a good 6 months for the treatment to start reducing pain within a year I was like brand new. He never guarantees results carefully pointing out that while his success rate is very good some treatments don't work. And be careful getting counter advice from surgeons. There is big money in hip/knee replacement and the last thing they want is for some non-invasive treatment to cut into their cash cow.

Within one session he had figured out several factors that were contributing to my issue and gave me actionable exercises and feedback. I have continued to see him and I cannot overstate how much help it has been to my everyday life. Turns out, breathing naturally is pretty important to brain and body function in everyday life. My partner had a serious issue with her knee and…read moreEli's response was to tell her how impossible it was for him to help her every single day she saw him (which was super demoralizing), then tell her to go see a surgeon (which we already were doing). He didn't suggest we see another PT, he didn't try anything new to see if he could make progress, he didn't even take any ownership and set reasonable achievable goals that he could help with. He just kept charging us sessions and saying "he needs instructions from the surgeon". By comparison, several surgeons told my partner that they couldn't handle her case and suggested people who could (without needing an appointment). This would have been an acceptable way to handle the situation. We eventually found an amazing PT who helped her make a ton of progress even before she has gone through surgery. That person actually took it upon themselves to help my partner get her range of motion up to 80+ degrees (from 50) and significantly improve muscle strength to help prepare for post surgery recovery. They frequently change strategies and used stuff like BFR to get past plateaus they reached. If you have a relatively simple case. Alpine might be fine. But if you have extensive scar tissue or post surgery complications, you might as well light your money on fire. It's about as useful as Eli.
