Even after I told told them that if they let me sample a few different ones & I found one I liked, I'd continue being a regular customer as I had been all along. Figured I'd go across the street and ask the same thing of the guys at Smoke Rings. Guy must have opened 6 or 7 different packs for me to sample. Found 1 that I liked. And have been driving right by Jan's to go to Smoke Rings ever since. Partially because I found a brand I liked {thanks to the guy opening up different packs for me to sample} and partially because I find the people who work there much friendlier that those at Jan's. I will always choose to patronize the establishment which treats me with more kindness and makes me feel that they appreciate my business. And the customer service at Smoke Rings is in line with these basic common sense business practices.

I am a little annoyed at the Native Americans for not telling me in advance this would happen to me. Then again they sell me cheap gas so I will let it slide this time. But next time it happens, I may challenge them to unarmed combat. Actually since it was eagles that attacked me and not bats, then maybe I'll challenge them to unarmed com-eagle instead. Western Door is my fave Gas Station on this reservation. It's a little hidden away, about a mile west on Martin Rd just off Bloomingdale Rd. It's a couple of cents cheaper, and they let you pump before you pay, because they trust you (silly them). Then around the corner from this one (also on Bloomingdale) is the Rez Gas Station next to Big Bear Char Pit, which are a few cents more, and don't let you pay in advance, but have their pumps open 24 hr for credit card only (cash payments stop a little before 10pm). However Two Eagles goes one better, and stays open around the clock, 24 7, for cash or credit payments, which is very useful. They're similarly cheap to the other two, and while coming in and out can be a bit of a zoo, and while you do have to pre-pay here as well if you're doing cash, they still get a 5 star rating for (a) being 24 hrs, (b) being fairly friendly, and (c) being 30 cents cheaper than most places in the region. And anyway, I'd rather have two eagles than two iggys. One Australian girl singing "Work" and "Fancy" in a fake Memphis accent gives me enough of a headache as it is, I can't handle duplicity in this case.

I attempted to visit this establishment on 9/22/16. After spending 3 hours in the car with my one…read moreand a half year old American Bulldog, we were relieved to finally arrive at our destination. As soon as my pup and I exited the vehicle, we were screamed at by whom I assume is the owner of the establishment. Upon facing this burly, overwhelming woman with a tattoo similar to Mike Tyson, and explaining how long we had been in the car. She continued to shout it was private property, so I crossed the street to avoid confrontation. She informed me through continuous screaming that it was also private property. It's a Reservation, we get it. She doesn't own the entire Tonowanda Reserve. She then proceeded to threaten to SHOOT me and my dog. Calling me all sorts of names, cursing. She brandished no weapon so I did not take the threat seriously. After my pup finished urinating I loaded him back up and we drove to another establishment. I told the clerks about my encounter at Higher Ground. They informed me that she endows added revenue upon them from all the customers she either disrespects, or scares off. It works out well for them, we all laughed it off. Honestly, I was in shock over it. Now, hours later as the day has wound down, I continue to be appalled by her behavior; all over a well trained, and leashed dog. Please, I recommend that if you are ever in the area, just keep driving. It's not worth the drama, unless you like Jerry Springer.
