There were plenty of pumps for an easy fill-up. Inside, the store was bright and clean, with clean bathrooms as well. We were tempted by the "Fountain Drinks 89-Cents, Any Size" signs, and grabbed a round for the fam', plus some final candies for the road home. But at the checkout different signs read that the 89-Cents deal was only for gas loyalty club members. Since we don't have this chain at home we though awwe, full-price sodas it is. But the kind clerk without question overrode the register to give us road-trip'sters the stellar soda deal. What a sweetheart! We are planning another fall roadtrip to the Independence area, and will stop here again to fill-up, and sign up for the gas club before we do so we can legit partake in bargain sodas next time. :-)

Okay I'm staying with a friend right down the street is a Shell gas station that's pouting fried chicken with signs all over the windows. Look it's that or Burger King Taco Bell or McDonald's within walking distance so I'm like screw it I'll check out some chicken and I walk into people are leaving and I asked a if you ever had chicken here is it any good to both occasions people smile and give a thumbs-up I'm going to go okay what's up with that. Additionally there's only one other review it's five stars I figured okay the owner reviewed himself can't blame him there. So the store is Middle Eastern own really super friendly people all smiles very very nice very friendly and welcoming I asked him a good luck on his side. Is is the chicken good I mean you got signs all over the windows is it absolutely should I order an 8-piece mixed dark and white meat he rushes over and gives me a fried boneless chicken strip I usually don't like these I'm not big on white meat chicken breast is always dried out always no matter where you go it's like finding a unicorn when you find a a chicken breast that's like moist and taste good that's just me.
