We really loved having Janie as our wedding DJ! We both love music but we're not that particular about certain songs. With Janie's help, we narrowed down what our important songs were and then we let her have creative freedom on the rest. She did a great job keeping the party going with a mix of our genres (classic oldies rock and modern country). And she definitely took to heart my favorite and not so favorite songs even when they were communicated very last minute. We really appreciated having her as an MC throughout the day to keep people organized and the day flowing smoothly. Then when it came time to dance, the party lights came out and it was a blast! We hired Janie to DJ our wedding at Cama Beach State Park on Camano Island. We had a clear vision for what we wanted the music to sound like, and sent over a list of songs to play during dinner, and ideas for what to play during cocktail hour and the reception. We appreciated her flexibility at setting up at two different parts of the park for both our ceremony and reception. While Janie was very nice, and the music got people up and dancing all night, we had a few things go wrong on the day of including the music starting 15 minutes late for the ceremony, and the wrong music being played during dinner. We tried our best to be very clear about what we wanted ahead of time, but the plan we laid out didn't exactly go as expected. read more

We are so thrilled that we found Janie ,the singing DJ, to be part of our wedding. She is packed with talent, professional, on top of her craft, and most of all down to earth. Up until the wedding, she was easy to reach and responded to any questions in a timely manner. This definitely took away a lot of wedding planning stress that we may have had. She was also super accommodating, for example, the night before the wedding, I was able to send her a couple of traditional songs from my culture that could only have been found on YouTube, and without hesitation, she said she can incorporate it, and she did! On the day of our wedding, the music she played was on point. The volume was at the right intensity when it needed to be. What I find most impressive about Janie, though, is that we didn't give her a playlist so that she can just push play, she's a DJ after all. Instead, we gave her what I thought, not enough songs of what we like, and she took it from there and listened to the crowd and played exactly what needed to be played.
